DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

A DIY combining method for straws uses tools such as a hole puncher, a pair of scissors and a ruler, and plural used bent straws. The DIY method includes a first step of measuring and cutting the length of straws to be used as shown in FIG. 1, and a second step of is to bore a hole or holes properly on each straw as shown in FIG. 2.

Next, a third step is to bend the bent corner of the bent connect tubes to a necessary angle. A fourth step is to combine the straws as shown in FIGS. 3 to 7. Firstly, two connect tubes 10 of bent straws with the right angle corner have their one end 100 connected by inserting with each other to form a U-shaped chair frame 1 as shown in FIG. 4. Then other two connect straight straws 20 having a hole 200 at one end are combined with the side tubes 101 of the chair frame 1, with the side tubes 101 of each bent connect tube 10 extending through the hole 200 of each connect tube 20, which is shifted to the bent corner of the bent tube 10. Then the several connect tubes 30 with a hole 300 are inserted in the two side tubes 101 of the two bent tubes 10, with the holes 330 fitted through by the two side tubes 101, located closely with one another to form a seat 3 as shown in FIG. 5. Then other two connect tubes 40 with a hole 400 are respectively combined upright with each side tubes 101 of the frame 1 as rear feet as shown in FIG. 6. After that, a connect tube 50 with two holes 500 spaced apart are combined horizontally with an upper portion the two rear feet 4 to serve as a backrest 5 of the chair as shown in FIG. 7. In addition, a lateral connect tube 60 is respectively combined with one front foot 2 and one rear foot 4 at the same side, keeping the four feet 2 and 4 stably, finishing assembly of the chair with straws by the fourth step of the DIY combining method in the invention.

As this DIY combining method can enable a child to assemble a chair with quickness and simplicity, providing opportunity for a child to think and create so as to stimulate growth of the brain and agility of the hands, and elevating learning interest.

Moreover, the present educational system has regulated to teach English to pupils in the elementary schools, so children can spell English alphabets in a thing 8 assembled with discarded straws, such as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, acquiring learning effect by assembling it, and further assembling various things with their imagination unlimited, such as a chair, a bed, a chest of drawers, a pet cage, a collapsible table for a chess board, a tent, etc. to name some. So the invention can excite creative potential of children, who can obtain substantial feeling of achievement, with the combined products provided with high value of collection.

The invention has the following advantages as can be seen from the foresaid description.

    • 1. Its combining process is simple and quick, including cutting, hole boring, and combining.
    • 2. Its combining process can stimulate children in thinking and creating.
    • 3. It offers interesting assemblage, elevating children's learning interest, attaining excellent teaching effectiveness.
    • 4. It costs very low, recycling used straws, having environment protecting meaning, suitable for schools to use as teaching means.

While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been 25 described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
