Description
BACKGROUND

The invention relates to a hanger for detachably supporting a display device, and in particular, to a hanger formed as a curved linear structure for hanging the display device.

FIGS. 1A and 1B depict a conventional display device 1 disposed on a table or mounted on a wall. Upon placement, a stand 2 supports a display panel of the display device, allowing the display device to stand on a table (as shown in FIG. 1A). Additionally, mounting holes on the back of the display device 1 allow mounting of the display device on the wall 3 (as shown in FIG. 1B). The mounting holes of the display device 1 are taken into consideration when designing overall appearance of the display device 1. The mounting holes only allow the display device 1 to be displayed on the wall, not suspended from the ceiling.

SUMMARY

Accordingly, the invention provides a hanger allowing a display device to be mounted on a wall or ceiling, and maintaining its original design.

The hanger for display comprises a support portion, a plurality of holding portions, and a hanging portion. The support portion is formed at the bottom of the hanger to support the display device. The holding portions are formed on two sides of the hanger, connected to the support portion to stabilize the display device. The hanging portion is formed at the top of the hanger, connected to the holding portions, hanging the hanger and the display device. In addition, the hanger is a curved linear structure.

The support portion further comprises a plurality of support strips and a plurality of positioning portions, both formed by inter-bending the curved linear structure.

The number of the holding portions can be two.

The hanger is made of steel, metal, stainless steel, or copper.

The curved linear structure is integrally formed in a single piece.

The display device is less than 5 Kg.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The invention can be more fully understood by reading the subsequent detailed description and examples with references made to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIGS. 1A and 1B are schematic views of a conventional display device;

FIG. 2A is a schematic view of a hanger of the present invention;

FIG. 2B is a schematic view of the hanger assembled with a display device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

FIG. 2A shows a hanger 10 for a display device of the present invention. FIG. 2B shows the hanger 10 assembled with a display device M. The hanger 10 is a curved linear structure for hanging a display device M which is 5 kg or less. The hanger 10 comprises a support portion 11, two holding portion 12, and a hanging portion 13.

The support portion 11 is formed at the bottom of the hanger 10. A linear material is continuously bent into four support strips 11A and three position portions 11B. The four support strips 11A abut the bottom of display device M to support the display device M. The three position portions 11B respectively abut the front and back of the display device M to position the display device M. In addition, each of the four support strips 11A and each of the three position portions 11B are formed by continuously bending the linear structure. The two holding portions 12 formed on left and right sides of the hanger 10 respectively, connect to the support portion 11 and extend along the outline of the display device M, such that the holding portion 12 on each side abuts the front, right, left, and back sides of the display device M to position the display device M in the hanger 10 from all directions. Two ends of the hanging portion 13 extend from the two holding portions 12 and meet in the top-center portion of the hanger 10 to form a ring for hanging. The support strips and position portions can be bent in various ways, with the number thereof varying according to demand.

The hanger 10 of the present invention is a curved linear structure made of steel, metal, stainless steel, or copper. In addition, the hanger 10 can be integrally formed in a single piece, but is not limited thereto. The hanger 10 can be fabricated as separate pieces and assembled together.

The hanger 10 of the present invention allows versatility in deployment of the display device M regardless of limitations, such as consideration of the mounting holes.

While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
