Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to an improved construction of a band ends joint, and more particularly to one that the band has two ends at their edges extended each a engaging section with both engaging sections holding against each other on the same plane; and one or a plurality of stitched section is provided to the outer perimeter of each engaging section.

(b) Description of the Prior Art:

As illustrated in FIG. 9 of the accompanying drawings, a band joint construction of the prior is comprised of a band 2 having a first end 21 and a second end 22, and a first joint section 23 extends from the first end 21 while a second joint section 24 extends from the second end 22. To join both ends of the band 2, both of the first end 21 and the second end 22 are overlapped to each other, and then both of the first joint section 23 and the second joint section 24 are processed with the high temperature and high pressure by means of a ultrasonic fusion machine to indicate semi-melts to increase the density and reduce the thickness of the joint part between the first and the second joint sections 23, 24.

Once cooled, the joint between the first and the second joint sections become hardened and vulnerable to be crashed while the stress tends to concentrate on the first end 21 or the second end 22 of the band 2 thus to be easily broken up after repeated pull and elongation cycle for a long period. Therefore, two stitched sections 25 are respectively provided the first joint section 23 and the second joint section 24 at where they are joined to improve structural strength. However, each stitched section occupies comparatively larger area on the joint and the joint becomes thicker again at the expanse of the binding strength. Therefore, the extremities or the head of the wearer of the band 2 feels uncomfortable due to the friction between the band 2 and the skin.

Referring to FIG. 10 for another band joint construction of the prior art, an iron clasp 3 is used to buckle up both ends of the band 3 at where both ends of the band hold against each other.

However, once the band 2 is stretched out to put on the extremities or the head of the wearer, the iron clasp 3 for failing to lay flushed against the skin, the skin of the wearer that contacts the iron clasp 3 can be easily hurt or the band 2 may easily get tangled with hairs to annoy the wearer.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide an improved construction of a joint to connect both ends of a band essentially comprised of two engaging sections on the same plane and respectively extending from both ends of the band; one or a plurality of stitched sections is connected to the outer perimeter of each engaging section. Given with the smaller area on the joint and the stitched area is also comparatively smaller since the stitched section is connected to the engaging section by sewing, the joint between two ends of the band is comparatively flattened to provide good binding and comforts for the wearer of the band, to effectively avoid the annoyance of having hairs of the wearer to be caught by the band, and to significantly reduce the possible hurt to the skin due to the friction against the band.

To achieve the purpose, both ends of the band respectively extend an engaging section on the same plane and each engaging section is further connected with one or a plurality of stitched sections.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED Embodiments

Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3, a first preferred embodiment of an improved joint construction for a band of the present invention is essentially comprised of a band 1, two engaging sections 11 abutted each other on the same plane respectively extending from both ends of the band 1, and a stitched section 13 each provided to the engaging section 11 for both engaging sections 11 to connect to each other. To improve the strength of the joint, a liquid adhesive is applied on the engaging surface of two engaging sections 11 at both ends of the band 1 to secure the joint. The band joint construction of the first preferred embodiment significantly reduce possible hurt to the skin of the wearer of the band due to friction against the joint, and to avoid the annoyance of having the wearer's hairs get tangled with the band is worn on the head of the wearer. However, it is to be noted that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limiting the present invention

Of course, there are many preferred embodiments with changes in the minutes of the present invention. As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5 for a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, both ends of the band 1 at their edges corresponding to each other extend a joint section 11 processed under high temperature to indicate a semi-melt. The joint section 11 extending from one side of the band for a first end 111, and the other end a second end 112. A range D1 is provided to the outer perimeter of the joint section 11 and a first stitched section 13 connects to the joint section 11 from its first end 111 to the outer perimeter D1 of its second end 112; meanwhile, the inner perimeter of the first stitched section 13 is provided with another range D2. Wherein, the range D2 of the inter perimeter of the first stitched section 13 is greater than the range Dl of the outer perimeter of the joint section 11; and the stitched area of the first stitched section 13 is comparatively smaller. Accordingly, the bank provides better binding and comforts to its wearer.

Now referring to FIG. 6 for a third preferred embodiment of the present invention, the band 1 is vertically provided with one or a plurality of stitched section to the joint section 11. In the third preferred embodiment, the band 1 is provided with two second stitched sections 14 at a right angle to the joint 11 and both ends of each second stitched section 14 is apart from each other for a range D3, which is greater than the outer perimeter D1 of the joint section 11.

As illustrated in FIG. 7 for a fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention, the band 1 is provided with a third stitched section 15 crossing and connected to the joint section 11; and both ends of the third stitched section 15 is apart from each other for a range D3, which is greater than the outer perimeter D1 of the joint section 11.

Now referring to FIG. 8 for a fifth preferred embodiment of the present invention, the first end 111 of the joint section 11 of the band 1 through the outer perimeter of the second send 112 is connected with the first stitched section 13 and the joint section 11 is vertically disposed with two section stitched section 14 to the joint section 11. Wherein, the range D3 between both ends of the second stitched section 14 is greater than the range D2 of the inner perimeter of the first stitched section 13; and the range D2 of the inner perimeter of the first stitched section 13 is greater than the range D1 of the outer perimeter of the joint section 11.
