DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-7, an electronic device holder 100 is shown comprised of a fixed bracket 10 and a movable bracket 20.

As shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 7, the fixed bracket 10 comprises a flat base 11, a plurality of mounting holes 12, a plurality of locating rods 13, two openings 14, and two side flanges 15. The flat base 11 is a shaped plate member, having a top wall for accommodating an electronic device and a bottom wall opposite to the top wall. The bottom wall of the flat base 11 is to be adhered to a flat surface, for example the wall or ceiling. The top wall of the flat base 11 is divided into a first mounting zone 111 and a second mounting zone 112. The mounting holes 12 are provided at the first mounting zone 111 of the flat base 11 and cut through the top and bottom walls of the flat base 11. According to this embodiment, the number of the locating rods 13 is two. These two locating rods 13 extend upwards from the top wall of the flat base 11 in the first mounting zone 111, each having a retaining head 131 that protrudes sideways. The openings 14 are formed in the first mounting zone 111 of the flat base 11 and cut through the top and bottom walls of the flat base 11. Top and bottom rails 16 are respectively horizontally formed integral with the top and bottom walls of the flat base 11 and suspending in the openings 14 at an outer side, defining a respective horizontal sliding groove 161 in each opening 14 at an outer side (the side relatively closer to the respective flange 15). The second mounting zone 112 extends horizontally outwards from one side of the first mounting zone 111. The top wall of the second mounting zone 112 is lower than the top wall of the first mounting zone 111 so that an insertion slot 17 is defined in the connection area between the first mounting zone 111 and the second mounting zone 112. Two sliding grooves 162 are defined in the second mounting zone 112 at two opposite lateral sides and respectively longitudinally disposed in line with the sliding grooves 161 in the openings 14. A through hole 18 is formed in the second mounting zone 112 at a remote side away from the first mounting zone 111 and cut through the top and bottom walls. The two flanges 15 are spaced from each other at a distance for stopping an electronic device in the first mounting zone 111.

The movable bracket 20 comprises a flat base 21, two springy retainers 22, a stop edge 23, two locating rods 24, a grip 25, and two protruding blocks 26. The flat base 21 is a shaped plate member, having a first mounting zone 211 and a second mounting zone 212. The thickness and width of the first mounting zone 211 of the flat base 21 are slightly smaller than the height and interval of the sliding grooves 161, 162. The retainers 22 are bilaterally protruded from the top wall of the first mounting zone 211 near a remote side away from the second mounting zone 212. The locating rods 24 extend upwardly from the top wall of the first mounting zone 211 at two sides near the second mounting zone 212, each having a retaining head 241 that protrudes sideways. The grip 25 extends from one side of the free end of the second mounting zone 212. Further, the second mounting zone 212 has a through hole 27 cut through the top and bottom wall near the grip 212.

The assembly process of the electronic device holder 100 is outlined hereinafter with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. The first mounting zone 211 of the movable bracket 20 is inserted through the sliding grooves 162 into the insertion slot 17 and then forced to move the retainers 22 over the bottom side of the first mounting zone 11 into the openings 14 and simultaneously to move the stop edge 23 into contact with the first mounting zone 111 of the fixed bracket 10. When the stop edge 23 is stopped against the first mounting zone 111 of the fixed bracket 10, the assembly process is down.

When loading an electronic device (see the imaginary lien A in FIGS. 3 and 4) on the electronic device holder 100 and hanging the electronic device on the wall or ceiling, insert fastening members such as screws or the like through the mounting holes 12 of the fixed bracket 10 and then drive the fastening members into the wall or ceiling to affix the fixed bracket 10 to the wall or ceiling, and then push the movable bracket 20 relative to the fixed bracket 10 to a first position (the position where the stop edge 23 of the movable bracket 20 is stopped against the first mounting zone 111 of the fixed bracket 10). At this time, the distance between the locating rods 24 of the movable bracket 20 and the locating rods 13 of the fixed bracket 10 is in the shortest condition (see FIG. 3). Thereafter, the oblong mounting holes at the back side of the electronic device that are made for mounting on the wall or ceiling are respectively coupled to the locating rods 13, 24 of the brackets 10, 20. At this time, hold the grip 25 or the protruding blocks 26 with the hand to move the movable bracket 20 apart from the first bracket 10 to a second position (the position where the springy retainers 22 are respectively hooked on the peripheral edge of each of the openings 14 of the fixed bracket 10, and at the time the distance between the locating rods 24 of the movable bracket 20 and the locating rods 13 of the fixed bracket 10 is in the longest condition see FIG. 4). When the movable bracket 20 is in the second position, the retaining heads 131, 241 of the locating rods 13, 24 are respectively hooked on the peripheral edges of the oblong mounting holes of the electronic device, and therefore the electronic device is locked to the electronic device holder 100.

When wishing to detach the electronic device from the electronic device holder 100, hold the grip 25 or the protruding blocks 26 with the hand to move the movable bracket 20 toward the first bracket 10 from the second position to the first position to disengage the retaining heads 131, 241 of the locating rods 13, 24 from the peripheral edges of the oblong mounting holes of the electronic device, and therefore the electronic device is unlocked from the electronic device holder 100 and can be removed from the electronic device holder 100 without much effort.

The through hole 18 of the first bracket 10 and the through hole 27 of the movable bracket 20 are aligned in line when the movable bracket 20 is set in the second position. At this time, lock means can be fastened to the through holes 18, 27 to lock the movable bracket 20 and the fixed bracket 10, preventing falling of the electronic device from the electronic device holder 100.

FIGS. 5 and 6 show the relationship between one oblong mounting hole B of the electronic device A and one mounting rod 24 of the movable bracket 20 (the relationship between each mounting rod 13 of the fixed bracket 10 and the corresponding oblong mounting hole B of the electronic device A is approximately the same with the exception of the engagement direction). When the movable bracket 20 is in the first position as shown in FIG. 5, the locating rod 24 is about at the center of the respective oblong mounting hole B, at this time, the electronic device A can be conveniently removed from the electronic device holder 100 or attached thereto. When the movable bracket 20 is in the second position as shown in FIG. 6, the locating rod 24 is stopped at one side of the respective oblong mounting hole B of the electronic device A, and the retaining head 241 of the locating rod 24 is hooked on the inside wall of the electronic device A, and therefore the electronic device A is secured to the locating rod 24. Of course, the locating rods 13 of the fixed bracket 10 work in the same manner.

Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
