Description
BACKGROUND

The invention relates to a construction element for heat and/or sound insulation between two construction parts, in particular between a building part and a supported construction part, comprising an insulating body to be arranged between the two construction parts having reinforcement elements that can be connected to both construction parts and crossing said insulating body and a fire protection element.

Such construction elements for heat and/or noise insulation are known, for example, from DE 296 06 209.4, and comprise an insulating body surrounding reinforcement elements inside, a groove, which is surrounded on its outside by a fire protection cover made from mineral wool, in order to protect the reinforcement from heat and/or fire impact, and thus to maintain the static substance of the corresponding building even after a fire.

SUMMARY

The use of fire protection elements is not only proven, but is also mandatory and, in particular after several years of experience with such fire protection elements, now there is a demand for further developing and improving construction elements for heat and/or noise insulation with fire protective covers.

This object is attained according to the invention in that the fire protection element is provided with weather proofing and aging protection in the form of a cover, which advantageously continuously encloses the fire protection element at all sides and thus protects it from influences of weather and other aging effects, which otherwise may degrade the fire protective features of the fire protection elements.

The cover advantageously comprises foils or laminates and is made from plastic or metal, in particular, with the cover being closed by way of adhesion, welding, or similar types of connection. Here, it is also possible for the cover to be embodied as a tube, so that it can be cut to a predetermined longitudinal measurement and can be closed by end caps, allowing the fire protection element and the cover itself to be processed even on the construction site.

Advantageously, the fire protection element with the cover is arranged above and/or below the insulating body and extends parallel to the longitudinal extension of the insulating body on its top and/or bottom, by which the groove remaining between the two construction parts is sealed towards the top and/or the bottom and thus the reinforcement extending through the groove is correspondingly protected. Additionally, the fire protection element can also be arranged laterally to the insulating body and, in this manner, form together with the upper and lower fire protection elements, for example, an enclosing fire protection device.

With regard to the fire protection element itself, it is formed in a conventional manner in form of a mat or laminate and comprises mineral wool. However, by the cover it is also possible for the fire protection element to comprise smaller particles that can be poured, for example, the cover ensures the required shape adjusted to the insulating body. In this way, for example, intumescent elements can be combined with other insulating materials and fill the cover, so that entirely new possibilities develop with regard to the fire protection elements.

FIGS. 2a-2c are schematic representations of a fire protection element with a cover according to the present invention in a perspective top view, a side view, and a frontal view;

FIGS. 3a-3b show an alternative construction form of a fire protection element with a cover in a perspective top view (FIG. 3a) formed from a bent-up cover (FIG. 3b);

FIGS. 4a-4d show additional embodiments of a fire protection element with a cover in a cross-sectioned side view as well as a frontal view; and

FIG. 5 is a view of a construction form of a surrounding fire protection element.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 shows a construction element for heat and/or noise insulation 1 with a generally cube-shaped insulating body 2 and reinforcement elements 3 crossing the insulating body and generally extending in a horizontal plane. The insulating body is covered on its top as well as its bottom with a fire protection element 4, 5, each of which having the same longitudinal and perpendicular extension as the insulating body 2, see for example FIG. 1a which shows an enlarged detail indicated at 1a from FIG. 1.

Alternate exemplary embodiments of these fire protection elements 4, 5 are shown in greater detail in the FIGS. 2a-2c, 3a-3b and 4.a-4d. FIGS. 2a-2c show a fire protection element 4a comprising a mineral wool mat 6 and a cover 7 made from a plastic material, which is tubular and welded at both sides of the longitudinal ends of the mineral wool mat and thus is sealed. These welding connections 8 are discernible from the perspective top view in FIG. 2a, the side view in FIG. 2b, and the front view in FIG. 2c.

In FIGS. 3a-3b, an alternative embodiment of a fire protection element 4b is shown, in which a mineral wool mat 6 with a cover 9 in the form of a plastic sheet is sealed from the environment. This plastic cover is provided with a bends, discernible in the top view in FIG. 3b, with the cubic plastic cover according to the perspective top view in FIG. 3a is made by welding the edges abutting one another.

In four different representations, FIGS. 4a-4d show additional possibilities for embodying a fire protection element 4c, 4d. Here, too, mineral wool mats 6 are enclosed by a plastic cover 10, with FIG. 4a showing a variant in a vertical cross-section and FIG. 4c in a front view, having a sealing cap 11 located on the outside, which is pushed from the outside over the plastic cover and is fixed it there by adhesion or welding. In FIG. 4b, in a vertical cross-section, and in FIG. 4d in a frontal view, a similar embodiment with a plastic cover 10 is shown, which is sealed via a sealing cap 12 located inside, with the sealing cap 12 being fixed to the tubular plastic cover 10, which has a rectangular cross-sectional shape adjusted to the mineral wool mat 6.

FIG. 5 finally shows a construction element for heat and/or noise insulation 13 in a side view, having a cubic insulating body 14, reinforcement elements 15, and a fire protection element 16. The novelty in this fire protection element is the fact that it comprises four individual elements 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, provided with a plastic sleeve (similar to the fire protection elements 4c and 4d) as a cover having a mineral wool core and contacting with its surface the upper side 14a of the insulating body 14, the left side 14b, the bottom side 14c, and the right side 14d. Using a total of four connection angles 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d arranged in the respective corners of the insulating body 14 the four individual fire protection elements are connected to form a circumferential fire protection element, which encloses the insulating body 14 at all sides (except for the front and back side impinged by adjacent concrete construction components), and protects in this manner the construction element for heat and/or noise insulation in all directions of the groove from fire and heat.

In conclusion, the present invention provides a construction element for heat and/or noise insulation, which is provided with an aging resistant and weather proofing fire protection element, with the fire protection element being protected from environmental influences in a simple manner. Such a fire protection element can be used, for example, for construction elements for heat insulation with protruding exterior parts as well as, for example, for the noise insulation of construction elements in staircases, stair landings, or the like or for additional applications, in which grooves and particularly reinforcements extending through such grooves have to be protected from fire.
