Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

This invention relates generally to a range hood and, more specifically, to a range hood that forms a water curtain between removable board and filter net, water curtain sucks oily particles and dust into water container, the present invention has washing, sucking particles and dust, prevent fire hazard, water recycling and easy to maintain effect.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Heretofore, it is known that cooking can make lots of soot in kitchen, range hoods are applied to suck soot, however they might cause air pollution, the soot breathed into lung might cause lung cancer. Electronic microscope shows soot is particle, after vibration, they flow to everywhere, those un-oily carbon smoke sticks onto range hood makes house ugly. Reducing soot in kitchen, choose high blow range hood becomes people high light of choosing range hood. Most of the range hoods are connected to external pipes to outside of houses without sucking oil effect, those oil accumulate inside the pipes might cause fire hazard.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a primary object of the invention to provide a range hood that has washing, sucking particles and dust, prevent fire hazard, water recycling and easy to maintain effect.

It is still an object for the invention to provide a range hood in which not only has washing, sucking particles and dust, prevent fire hazard, water recycling and easy to maintain effect, the front hood cover also increases the sucking range for better soot expelling effect.

In order to achieve the objective set forth, a range hood in accordance with the present invention comprises a hood body, a ventilation fan inside a continuous pipe. A water container is on the bottom of the hood body, a removable board is on the front side of the hood body, the removable board inclines downward from top with bottom stretching into the water container to form a inlet path between the bottom of the removable board and the water container, a filter net in parallel with the removable board is between the inlet path and the continuous pipe.

Based on the structure described above, water level in the water container is above the bottom of the removable board and the filter net, when the ventilation fan is on, air is sucked in from the inlet pipe, the soot is also sucked in; the air flow rushes from water surface and flows from the bottom of the removable board and turns to the filter net, and forms a small water curtain between removable board and the filter net, the filter net guides water back to water container; the present invention achieves washing, sucking particles and dust, prevent fire hazard, water recycling and easy to maintain effect.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The accomplishment of the above-mentioned object of the present invention will become apparent from the following description and its accompanying drawings which disclose illustrative an embodiment of the present invention, and are as follows:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is an application view of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a further embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 5 is another application view of a further embodiment of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, the present invention comprises a hood body 10, a ventilation fan 15 inside a continuous pipe 14. The function of each component is described as following:

A water container 11 is on the bottom of the hood body 10, a removable board 12 is on the front side of the hood body 10, the removable board 12 inclines downward from top with bottom stretching into the water container 11 to form a inlet path 121 between the bottom of the removable board 12 and the water container 11, a filter net 16 in parallel with the removable board 12 is between the inlet path 121 and the continuous pipe 14.

Based on the structure described above, water level in the water container 11 is above the bottom of the removable board 12 and the filter net 16, when the ventilation fan 15 is on, air is sucked in from the inlet pipe 121, the soot is also sucked in; the air flow rushes from water surface and flows from the bottom of the removable board 12 and turns to the filter net 16, and forms a small water curtain between removable board 12 and the filter net 16, the water curtain mixes with the soot and absorbs small particles and dust, the filter net 16 guides water back to water container 11, air is expelled from continuous pipe 14; the present invention achieves washing, particles absorbing and water recycle effect; the grease absorbed is kept inside the hood body 10 and isolated from outside by water inside the removable board 12 and the water container 11 that prevent flame from passing to burn grease.

The structure described above, a window 120 is on the center of the removable board 12 for users to watch the operation of water curtain, (as shown in FIG. 1); a light source is on top of the hood body 10 to light outside through the window 120; the removable board 12 is removable for maintain and repair.

As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a water pipe 13 is installed inside the water container 11, the top open of the water pipe 13 is between the upper brim of the water container 11 and the bottom brim of the removable board 12, the bottom open of the water pipe 13 stretches to the bottom of the water container 11; a water level control box 20 is on one side of the water container 11, a water guiding pipe 21 links the water container 11 and the water level control box 20 to maintain the water container 11 and the water level control box 20 have the same water level; another water inlet pipe 23 also links to the water level control box 20, a floating control valve 22 is inside the water level control box 20. The water level of the water container 11 is controlled by the floating control valve 22 to maintain proper level (slightly over the bottom of the removable board 12), if water level is lower than preset level, the floating control valve 22 lowers to open valve and let water flow in from the water inlet pipe 21; if water level is too high or over the top open of water pipe 13, surplus water can flow out from the top open for normal operation. The water level control box 20 described above can be installed inside the water container 11 or be a part of the water container 11.

Based on above description and as shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 5, the filter net 16 is made of stainless steel; a plurality of “V” shape guiding boards 160 in equal distance and a plurality of inversed “V” shape guiding boards 161 also in equal distance are on the bottom of the filter net 16, the “V” shape guiding boards 160 and the inversed “V” shape guiding boards 161 are inter-cross to each other and form several water loops (as shown in FIG. 5).

Based on above description, when water curtain passes through filter net 16, water flows from loops formed by the “V” shape guiding boards 160 and the inversed “V” shape guiding boards 161, oily particles and dust are blocked by those “V” shape guiding boards, water flows along those “V” shape guiding boards into the water container 11, clean filtered air passes through the filter net 16 and expelled by ventilation fan 15. The filtered oily particles float above water naturally and go out from the top open of the water pipe 13 for better particles filtering efficiency.

Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a round fan gate 140 is on the open of the continuous pipe 14 to control the ventilation; frequency variation controller for ventilation can also control the turning ratio of the ventilation fan 15. A front hood cover 17 is installed on the front of the hood body 10, the front hood cover 17 enlarges the ventilation area.

While a preferred embodiment of the invention has been shown and described in detail, it will be readily understood and appreciated that numerous omissions, changes and additions may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
