Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an outsole with a friction sheet attached to the outsole so as to provide the outsole with higher friction.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Conventional outsoles of shoes can be made by different materials for different purposes. For sport shoes or jogging shoes, the outsole is focused on flexibility so that the wearers feel comfortable during jogging. The material can be rubber or Polyurethane. If the outsole is used for high-heel shoes, the material will be Polyvinyl Chloride or TPR. Some shoes use wood or Acrylic to make the outsoles with high stiffness. However, generally speaking, the stiffness of the material provides poor friction so that the manufacturers have to make deeper tread portion. The tread portion provides poor friction when the surface that the outsole contacts is hard. In addition, for high-heel shoes, the outsole is thin so that it is difficult to have deep grooves in the thin outsole. Besides, the molds for making deeper tread portion are expensive.

The present invention intends to provide a friction sheet which is made by non-woven fabric with a friction surface and the friction sheet can be easily adhered to the outsoles to provide satisfied friction.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an outsole assembly that comprises a friction sheet which is composed of a fabric sheet and a friction surface formed on a surface of the fabric sheet. The friction sheet is attached to an outsole so as to provide the outsole with better friction when walking or jogging.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a friction sheet attached to a thin outsole so that the thin outsole has sufficient friction to prevent the wearers from slipping on roads.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 shows a friction sheet is attached on an outsole;

FIG. 2 shows two friction sheets are connected to the heel and the outsole;

FIG. 3 shows that the outsole includes a recess for receiving the friction sheet, and

FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view to show the friction sheet.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 1, the friction sheet 20 of the present invention comprises a fabric sheet 22 and a friction surface 22 is formed on a surface of the fabric sheet 22. The friction surface 22 may include ridges and grooves so as to provide sufficient friction with the roads and can be made by any proper material such as rubber. The fabric sheet 22 is made by non-woven fabric. The material of the friction surface 22 can be connected to the fabric sheet 22 by way of heat transferring so that the material is combined with the fabric sheet 22. The friction sheet 20 is attached to an outsole 10.

The color, shape and sizes of the friction sheets 20 can be made to meet different requirements so that the friction sheet 20 can also attract people's attention when walking or jogging.

As shown in FIG. 2, a shoe may be cooperated with two friction sheets 40 which are attached to the outsole 30 and the heel.

FIG. 3 shows that the outsole 50 includes a recess 52 defined in an outer surface thereof and the friction sheet 60 is securely engaged with the recess 52.

As shown in FIG. 4, the friction sheet 70 includes a fabric sheet 72 includes a plurality of holes 722 and a material of the friction surface 74 is filled with the holes 722 and formed on one of two sides of the fabric sheet 72. A reinforcement layer 76 is connected to the other side of the fabric sheet 72 and filled with the holes 722 and combined with the material of the friction surface 74. The reinforcement layer 76 effectively combines the friction surface 74 and the fabric sheet 72 to prevent the friction surface 74 from being peeled off.

The friction sheets are easily manufactured and convenient to attach onto the outsoles. Especially for thin outsoles, the friction sheets are an easy and good way to overcome the friction problems.

While I have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
