Packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a tape dispenser

A packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a tape dispenser includes a rubber seat having a conical body and defining an axially extended central bore. An upper edge of the conical body is provided with a plurality of equally spaced lugs, and a slot is centered between two adjacent lugs to extend downward by a predetermined distance. The seat is connected to an inner end of a sleeve in the tape holder and then mounted on a fixing bar of the tape dispenser. When a turning knob of the tape dispenser is turned to tighten the tape holder against the fixing bar, the conical and slotted seat enhances the tightening effect, and the slots on the seat allow adjusting of a tightness of the tape holder against the fixing bar.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a tape dispenser, and more particularly to a packing structure adapted to adjust the mounting tightness of a tape holder on a tape dispenser, so that the tape dispenser is applicable to tapes of different adhesion ability.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 shows a general tape dispenser 1, which includes a tape holder 11 for supporting a tape roll (not shown) thereon, a blade 12 located in front of the tape holder 11, and a roller 13 located below the blade 12. The tape may be pulled from the tape holder 11 to the roller 13 for bonding to something, and then cut by the blade 12 when the bonding is completed. Tapes of different adhesion ability are available. When a tape with relatively high adhesion ability is mounted on the tape dispenser 1 for use, the tape holder 11 must have a high immobility, so that the tape could be successfully pulled out from the tape holder 11 and be cut by the blade 12. For this purpose, there is a packing structure provided for tightly mounting the tape holder on the tape dispenser 1. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a conventional packing structure for this purpose. As shown, the tape holder 11 of the tape dispenser 1 is internally provided at a central area with an axially extended sleeve 111, which is provided at an inner end with equally spaced cuts 112. A packing structure in the form of a seat 2 for connecting to the inner end of the sleeve 111 is provided at a top with spaced lugs 21 corresponding to the cuts 112 on the sleeve 111. The tape holder 11 with the seat 2 connected to the sleeve 111 is mounted to a fixing bar 14 on the tape dispenser 1 by extending a turning knob 15 into the sleeve 111 to screw to the fixing bar 14. The seat 2 is connected to the sleeve 111 with the lugs 21 engaged with the cuts 112. When the turning knob 15 is turned forward, the tape holder 11 is more tightly mounted to the fixing bar 14 via the seat 2. However, when the tape has adhesion force larger than the immobility of the tape holder 11, pulling of the tape would cause the tape holder 11 to rotate at the same time, preventing the tape from being successfully pulled out of the tape roll. Therefore, the above-described conventional packing structure, that is, the seat 2, is not ideal for use because it does not enable the tape holder 11 to be immovably mounted on the fixing bar 14 with an adjustable tightness against the fixing bar 14.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a fixing bar on a tape dispenser with an adjustable tightness against the fixing bar.

To achieve the above and other objects, the packing structure according to the present invention includes a rubber seat having a conical body and defining an axially extended central bore. An upper edge of the conical body is provided with a plurality of equally spaced lugs corresponding to cuts at an inner end of a sleeve in a tape holder of the tape dispenser, and a slot is centered between two adjacent lugs to extend downward by a predetermined distance. The seat is connected to the inner end of the sleeve in the tape holder with the lugs engaged with the cuts, and then mounted on a fixing bar on the tape dispenser. When a turning knob of the tape dispenser is turned to tighten the tape holder against the fixing bar, the conical seat is able to enhance the tightening effect. The slots on the seat allow adjusting of a tightness of the tape holder against the fixing bar.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a general tape dispenser;

FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a conventional packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a tape dispenser;

FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view showing a packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder on a tape dispenser according to the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a plan view of the packing structure of the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is an assembled sectional view showing a tape holder with the packing structure of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Please refer to FIGS. 3 and 4 at the same time. The present invention relates to a packing structure for immovably mounting a tape holder 11 on a tape dispenser 1 as those shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. As shown, the packing structure includes a seat 3 made of a rubber material. The seat 3 includes a base section having a straight vertical peripheral wall, and a conical body having a tapered peripheral wall upward extended from the straight vertical peripheral wall of the base section. The seat 3 defines an axially extended central bore 31. An upper edge of the conical body of the seat 3 is provided with equally spaced lugs 32, and a slot 33 is centered between two adjacent lugs 32 to extend down to an upper edge of the straight vertical wall of the base section.

The seat 3 is mounted on the fixing bar 14 on the tape dispenser 1 by extending the fixing bar 14 through the central bore 31 of the seat 3. The seat 3 is then connected to the tape holder 11 by engaging the lugs 32 with the cuts 112 on the central sleeve 111 of the tape holder 11. When the turning knob 15 of the tape dispenser 1 (see FIG. 1) is turned, the tape holder 11 is more tightly mounted on the fixing bar 14 via the compressed seat 3. The slots 33 separately located between two adjacent lugs 32 on the seat 3 buffer the force applied to the seat 3 via the turning knob 15, so that the tightness of the tape holder 11 against the fixing bar 14 is also adjustable while the tape holder 11 is immovably mounted on the fixing bar 14, allowing the tape dispenser 1 to apply to tapes of different adhesive ability.

Please refer to FIG. 5 that is an assembled sectional view showing the assembling of the seat 3 to the tape holder. As shown, the seat 3 is connected to an axially inner end of the sleeve 111 of the tape holder 11 with a bottom of the seat 3 flatly contacted with the tape dispenser 1. When the turning knob 15 is turned to tightly press the sleeve 111 against the seat 3, the tape holder 11 is immovably mounted on the fixing bar 14. With the slots 33 provided on the seat 3, the tightness of the tape holder 11 against the fixing bar 14 is adjustable within a predetermined range.
