Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to an adjustable device for balancing a fan and particularly to a device, which is capable of regulating and keeping the fan running steadily.

2. Brief Description of the Related Art

Generally, once any one of fans is running to drag air moving, it results in convention between the air and heat from a hot object is created to dissipate the heat effectively. It is known that the conventional fan provides a hub and a plurality of fan blades extending from the hub for performing task of dragging the air. However, in case of gravity of center of the fan deviating from the center thereof, vibration is created during the fan is running.

The vibration fan makes the spindle thereof to become fatigue more easily and lead to shorten life span of the fan in addition to generating noise such that integral quality of a product associated with the fan and effect of heat dissipation is affected significantly. Referring to FIG. 1, the prior art provides an inner cylindrical wall 13, which is integrated to the outer shaft wall 12 and disposed next to the outer shaft wall 12, and a plurality of ribs are provided between the outer shaft wall 12 and the inner cylindrical wall 13 such that a plurality of counterweight grooves 15 are formed to be available for tightly fitting with counterweights 16 in different lengths and weights in order to correct dynamic equilibrium of the fan.

However, the counterweights 16 have to be fabricated with precise mold for being capable of fitting with the grooves 15 tightly in order to prevent the counterweights 16 from falling away.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to solve the preceding problem, an object of the present invention is to provide an adjustable device, which is capable of being simply made to correct unbalanced running of the fan, such that vibration resulted from the fan running unsteadily can be overcome substantially.

Accordingly, the adjustable device for balancing a fan according to the present invention includes a hollow hub, which defines a receiving space, and a plurality of fan blades extending outward from the hollow hub. Wherein, the receiving space includes an inner ring at the inner wall surface thereof and at least a balancing granular part is connected to the inner ring via a weak spot such that the weak spot is capable of being broken for separating the balancing granular part from the ring. Once the balancing granular part is removed to reduce weight at the position without the balancing granular part, the fan is able to run steadily instead of in a state of unbalancing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the conventional device for balancing a fan;

FIG. 2 is a front elevational view of an adjustable device for balancing a fan according to the present invention in a preferred embodiment thereof;

FIG. 3 is a perspective sectional view of FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is an enlarged diagram of the dash circle shown in FIG. 3; and

FIG. 5 is another enlarged diagram of the dash circle shown in FIG. 3 similar to FIG. 4.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, an adjustable device for balancing a fan according to the application is employed to keep a fan 20 running in a state of balancing and the fan 20 provides a hub 21, which is hollow to define a receiving space and a inner ring 22 is provided at the inner wall of the receiving space. It is noted that the inner ring 22 can be fixedly attached to fit with the receiving space. A plurality of fan blades 23 extends outward from the hub 21 for generating convection between heat and dragged air. The fan further includes a spindle 24, which is disposed at the center of the receiving space of the hub 21 and can be joined to the inner ring 22, a magnetic component 25 such as magnet or the like, which is disposed to surround the inner ring 22 and to be joined to a fan base (not shown) for creating magnetic reaction.

When the hub 21 and/or the fan blades 23 has an inconsistent weight or the fan 21 is provided with non-equilibrium weight due to the magnetic component 20, it results in unbalanced running of the fan 20. Meanwhile, because the inner ring 22 connects with a plurality of balancing balls 26, the balls 26 at the position with more weight can be removed for balancing the fan 20 and diminishing phenomenon of unbalancing. That is, the preceding balancing granular parts 26 are connected to the inner ring 22 via a weak spot W respectively and once the weak spot W is broken by the user, the balancing granular parts 26 is able to be separated from the inner ring 22 before the balancing granular parts 26 being removed. In this way, the fan 20 is capable of running steadily in a state of equilibrium.

Besides, the weak spot W can be defined as continuation at the joints of the balancing granular parts 26 and the inner ring 22 as shown in FIG. 3. Alternatively, part of the joints between the balancing granular parts 26 and the inner ring 22 is connected with the weak spot W as shown in FIG. 4. Even more, the balancing granular parts 26 themselves are the weak spot respectively as shown in FIG. 5. The balancing granular parts 26 can be provided as a shape of triangle, polygon or any other shapes except circular shape shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

It is appreciated that an adjustable device for balancing a fan according to the present invention has the following advantages:

1. It is not necessary to place any foreign objects for balancing a fan while the fan running such that technical personnel can be reduced substantially.

2. It is not necessary to provide additional mold tools for making the balancing parts such that cost and time of labors can be reduced greatly.

While the invention has been described with referencing to the preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
