A disposable liner with or without a container which stores and/or disposes cooking liquids, including grease and other liquids.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a disposable liner with or without a container to store and/or dispense cooking liquids, including grease and other liquids.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

U.S. Pat. No. 4,930,906 relates to a cooking grease disposable bag formed with a multiply ply construction having an internal layer of a heavy gauge deformable aluminum foil, an intermediate layer formed by a puncture resistant polyethylene sheet, and an outer layer formed by an insulating paper material. The bag has first and second fold lines. An adhesive strip may be used to seal the bag for disposable.

U.S. Pat. 5,736,204 relates to a compostable packaging for containment of liquids. A compostable paperboard container and package for liquids is coated with a material capable of degrading to carbon dioxide, water and biomass under composting conditions.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,352,324 relates to a frying pan with a removable grease catcher. The grease catcher is removably secured to the bottom flange of the frying pan.

U.S. Patent publication no. 20040188448 relates to a disposable grease collection container which has a bottom and four upstanding walls. The container has an inner surface which forms a collection area where the grease is collected. The inner surface is of a disposable material that is heat resistant to the grease being collected therein and the outer surface of the container is of a disposable material being light weight but having a thickness to provide rigidity so that the container maintains it shape and the four walls remain upstanding. Each of the end walls has a bellows like portion formed as an integral part of the outer surface.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,322,196 relates to a grease container for reusable cooking oil. The container is constructed of heat resistant material to store, refrigerate and reheat cooking oil without deforming shape or dimension. There is a flip latch used to scoop grease drippings back into the container and to cover the pouring holes.

U.S. Design Pat. 352,212 relates to a grease container for reusable cooking oil.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,911,346 relates to a grease collection container having a drip free lip along a pouring edge.

U.S. Patent Publication No. 2003/0121802 relates to a method for disposing oils, fats and grease comprising selecting a container with a biodegradable absorbent and pouring the cooking oil into the absorbent or the absorbent into the cooking oil. The oil containing the absorbent will then be safely disposed.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,394,313 relates to household grease storage container which is spill proof and heat resistant used to hold leftover cooking oil and grease. The container comprises an outer container, an inner container conformable shape and dimensioned to be received with the outer container and a removable lid for closing and opening of the inner container.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a device which comprises a disposable liner with or without a container to store hot grease, cooking oils, oils, liquids and solids. It is an object of the present invention to place the device on a stove, grill, countertop or other cooking device which allows a user to pour off hot or cold liquid for later use, safe storage, and/or disposal.

It is an object of the present invention for the container to be made of a material where it is not disposal, but can be used for multiple disposals of the disposable liner. It is an object of the present invention for the container to be easily cleaned.

It is object of the present invention for the device to withstand, cold, heat and extreme hot liquids.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be biodegradable.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to come in a variety of colors.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be the size of a approximately a plastic sandwich bag.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to not be limited to any particular size or shape.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to have a mechanism for closing and sealing the device which may comprises a plastic zipper device, drawstring, piece of tape and two fold over tabs.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be made of a material which withstands extremely hot temperature, does not melt upon contact or use, and will not dissolve in any fashion.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be used for personal and/or commercial use.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be used to store hot or cold baking grease, fats of all types, oils, foods, left over foods, industrial chemicals, household chemicals, liquids and solids.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be stored and left anywhere in the household or commercial environment.

It is an object of the present invention that the device would be used on or near a cooking area or anywhere hot or cold liquids/solids need to be stored.

The present invention relates to a method of storing and/or disposing of grease comprising placing the device on a kitchen counter; pouring hot grease left over from a frying pan into the device, disposing or storing the grease.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be stored in the refrigerator, freezer or other temporary storage device for later use.

It is an object of the present invention for multiple liners to be placed into a container and that each liner can be used and/or disposed of individually. It is an object of the present invention for liners that are not presently being used to be attached to or stored in the container.

It is an object of the present invention to make the liner see through so the user can see what is contained in the liner.

It is an object of the present invention for the liner to be microwave safe.

It is an object of the present invention that the liner can be used in the microwave to reheat grease and/or bacon and other similar products.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to hold liquids which should not be poured down a drain into a highly durable bag that can handle extreme temperatures.

It is an object of the present invention for the bag to be placed in a canister at the time of use to pour the liquids into.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be made out of heavy weight plastic that can handle extremely hot and cold temperatures.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to maintain the contents so that there is no smell associated from the device.

It is an object of the present invention for the container to be approximately 3 inches to 12 inches in height and approximately 2 inches to 8 inches wide.

It is an object of the present invention for the device to be used for packaging, such as for meats, wherein in grease is released so that the meats can be withdrawn from the packaging and the grease thrown away with the package.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIG. 1 shows the device 10 having a mechanism for closing the device 20, which is shown as draw strings. The device 10 comprises a disposable liner which is used to store hot grease, cooking oils, oils, liquids and solids. The device 10 is made of a material that can withstand, cold, heat and extreme hot liquids. In a preferred embodiment, the device 10 is biodegradable. In a preferred embodiment, the device 10 is the size of approximately a plastic sandwich bag. In a preferred embodiment, the device 10 comprises a heavy weight plastic that can handle extremely hot and cold temperatures. In a preferred embodiment, the device 10 to fit into a container that is approximately 3 inches to 12 inches in height and approximately 2 inches to 8 inches wide.

FIG. 2 shows a container 30 for holding the device 10. In a preferred embodiment, the container 30 has a lid or cover 40. In a preferred embodiment, the device lo is held open in the container 30, and the opening is placed around the opening of the container 30. The lid 40 can then be placed on the container 30 to hold in the contents of the device 10 and also keep any smells associated with the contents of the device kept at a minimal. As shown by FIG. 2, the containers 30 can come in a variety of sizes.

FIG. 3 shows other containers 50 which can be used with the device 10.

FIG. 4 shows containers 60 having a lid 70 that can be locked. In a preferred embodiment, the lid 70 can be locked onto the container 60 to create an airtight seal and hold in any odors.

FIG. 5 shows a device 80 which can be used for commercial applications. The device 80 would be placed in a larger container than shown above.

Claims

1. A device for storing and/or disposing of grease, cooking oils, and other items which should not be put down a drain comprising:

a disposable liner which can stand in an upright position when liquid is poured in it or be placed in a container so that said liner is held open to receive said items;

a closing mechanism to close said device.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein said device fits into a container which holds open said liner so that it does not close while said item is being poured into it.

3. The device of claim 1 wherein said device fits over edges of a container wherein said device is held open by said edges of said container.

4. The device of claim 1 wherein said container comprises a material which is used for multiple disposals of said disposable liner.

5. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner comprises a material that withstands cold, heat and extreme hot liquids.

6. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner is biodegradable.

7. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner is size of approximately a plastic sandwich bag.

8. The device of claim 1 wherein said closing mechanism is selected from the group consisting of a zipper, drawstring, piece of tape or two fold over tabs.

9. The device of claim 1 wherein said device stores hot or cold baking grease, fats of all types, oils, foods, left over foods, industrial chemicals, household chemicals, liquids and solids.

10. The device of claim 1 wherein said device is stored in a freezer, refrigerator, or other temporary storage device for later use after it is filled with said items.

11. The device of claim 1 wherein multiple liners are placed into a container and each of said liners is used and/or disposed of individually.

12. The device of claim 1 wherein said container has a mechanism for holding liners that are not being used in said container.

13. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner is clear or see through.

14. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner is microwave safe.

15. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner can be used to reheat grease and/or bacon and other similar products.

16. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner comprises a heavy weight plastic that can handle extremely hot and cold temperatures.

17. The device of claim 1 wherein said container when closed maintains said contents so that there is no smell associated from said device.

18. The device of claim 1 wherein said container is approximately 3 inches to 12 inches in height and approximately 2 inches to 8 inches wide.

19. The device of claim 1 wherein said container has a lid or cover.

20. The device of claim 1 wherein said liner is placed around edges of said container to be held open while items are placed inside of it.

21. The device of claim 19 wherein said lid contains a lock.

22. The device of claim 1 wherein said container creates an airtight seal and hold in any odors.

23. A method of storing and/or disposing of grease comprising:

placing a device on a kitchen counter; said device comprising a disposable liner which can stand in an upright position when liquid is poured in it or be placed in a container so that said liner is held open to receive said items and a closing mechanism to close said device;

pouring hot grease left over from a frying pan or other kitchen utensil into said device,

disposing or storing said grease.
