Golf accessories interchange system

Abstract

Systems and methods for interchangeable attachment of golf accessories to a golf bag are described. Inventive systems and methods allow for easy access to selected golf accessories and their placement in a convenient and modifiable arrangement on a golf bag. An inventive system includes a plurality of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, each individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener having a hook portion and a loop portion. At least two golf accessory storage elements are also included. Each storage element has an attachment surface for attachment of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener so that each storage element can be reversibly and interchangeably attached to a complementary fastener on a golf bag.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to devices, systems and methods for use in conjunction with the game of golf. More specifically the invention relates to systems and methods including interchangeable golf accessory devices for attachment to a golf bag.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The game of golf is unique among recreational sports in requiring several hours to play combined with traveling over significant distances in order to complete the course. Specialized equipment is needed for the game and various accessories are desirable for gameplay and for personal comfort or convenience. The time and distances involved in the game make it highly desirable that a player bring selected equipment and accessories along during the game since it is not possible to interrupt play to return to the clubhouse or the player's car to pick up a missing accessory. In addition, given the wide variety of golf equipment and accessories available, players often prefer to carry only a subset of items selected as appropriate to the weather, course conditions and location.

Since a player usually finds it convenient to bring along various items during a golf game it becomes desirable to arrange such items so that they can be easily accessed. Various carriers for golf equipment and accessories are available. For instance, golf bags often include interior pockets, although these don't allow a user to readily determine if a particular item is in a particular pocket.

Thus, there is a continuing need for systems and methods allowing easy access to golf accessories by interchangeably attaching an individually preferred selection of such golf accessories to a golf bag.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A system for interchangeable attachment of golf accessories to a golf bag is provided according to the present invention. An inventive system includes a plurality of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, each individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener having a hook portion and a loop portion. At least two golf accessory storage elements are also included. Each storage element has an attachment surface for attachment of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener so that each storage element can be reversibly and interchangeably attached to a complementary fastener on a golf bag. Storage elements for golf accessories illustratively include a sunglasses holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and combinations of such storage elements. Additional golf accessory storage elements include a cell phone holder, a beverage holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

A method of modifying a golf bag is provided by the present invention which includes attaching at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of a golf bag. Further included is attaching at least two golf accessory storage elements to the at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements having an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag.

Detailed herein is a carrier system for a selection of golf accessories according to the present invention which includes a golf bag having an outer surface with at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners attached to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on the outer surface of the golf bag. Also included in an inventive carrier system are at least two golf accessory storage elements, each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements having an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag. Exemplary storage elements include a sunglasses holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and combinations of such elements. Further golf accessory storage elements include a cell phone holder, a beverage holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A system for interchangeable attachment of golf accessories to a golf bag is provided by the present invention. An inventive system includes a plurality of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners and at least two golf accessory storage elements. One half of the pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, either the hook portion or the loop portion is attached to the golf bag and the complementary hook or loop portion is attached to each of the golf accessory storage elements. The golf accessory storage elements can then be interchangeably attached to the golf bag by engaging the hook and loop fastener portions.

Golf accessory storage elements include holders for golf accessories such as a holder for sunglasses, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and combinations of any of these. A golf accessory storage element may also be a holder for an object illustratively including a cell phone holder, a water bottle holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

FIG. 1 illustrates a system 10 according to the present invention. A plurality of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners 20 is shown along with various golf accessory storage elements. At least two golf accessory storage elements are included in an inventive system selected from the group: a holder for sunglasses 30, a brush and brush holder combination 40, a golf ball holder 50, a golf tee holder 60, a golf glove holder 70, and combinations of any of these. Optionally further included are golf accessory storage elements such as a beverage holder 80 and a storage pouch 90.

Pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners included in embodiments of the present invention are preferably uniformly sized, so as to allow for convenient interchangeable attachment of golf accessory storage elements. The size of the pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners will depend on the size and type of golf bag used. In one specific embodiment the pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners have a height in the range of about 1-6 inches, inclusive and a length in the range of about 1-6 inches, inclusive. A preferred size is about 2 inches in height by 4 inches in length. The engaged thickness of the pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners is typically in the range between about 1-20 millimeters, inclusive.

A golf bag is provided according to the present invention which includes at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners attached to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of a golf bag. In addition, at least two golf accessory storage elements are included which are reversibly attachable to any of the hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners attached to the golf bag. Each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements has an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag, allowing for reversible attachment of each storage element to the golf bag. The storage elements are selected from: a sunglass holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and a combination thereof. Optionally included are further storage elements illustratively including a cell phone holder, a water bottle holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

FIG. 2 illustrates a golf bag according to the present invention 100 and also shows how an inventive system may be used. In this figure hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners 120 are shown attached to an outer surface of a golf bag 125. Golf accessory storage elements are illustrated which are reversibly attached to the golf bag by an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag. Shown are a holder for sunglasses 130, a brush and brush holder combination 140, a golf ball holder 150, a golf tee holder 160, and a golf glove holder 170. Optionally further included are golf accessory storage elements such as a beverage holder 180 and a storage pouch 190.

In a specific embodiment, a golf ball holder is provided according to the present invention which includes a wall defining an interior storage space for three golf balls. The wall has a front surface and an opposing rear surface and the rear surface includes the attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener. The wall of an inventive golf ball holder further includes a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, a first side surface and an opposing second side surface. The wall of the golf ball holder defines an opening through the front surface of the holder into the golf ball storage space. The opening is sized to allow passage of a golf ball so that golf balls can be put into or removed from the holder through the opening. The golf ball holder wall further defines a first aperture in the top surface and a second aperture in the bottom surface. These apertures are smaller than the diameter of a golf ball and prevent passage of a golf ball. The apertures permit golf balls in the interior storage space to protrude from the storage space. The apertures further permit passage of an urging implement for urging a golf ball from the interior storage space through the opening in the front surface of the golf ball holder. An urging implement may be a tool, but is preferably a human finger or thumb.

A golf ball holder according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 1 at 50 and in FIG. 2 at 150. A sectional view along line 3-3 in FIG. 1 is shown in FIG. 3. FIG. 3 shows a section of a golf ball holder 50 having a front surface 51, rear surface 52, top surface 53 and bottom surface 54. An opening in the front surface is shown at 55 which permits passage of a golf ball into the interior storage space 56. Also shown are apertures 57 and 58 in the bottom surface and top surface of the wall, respectively. The size of the apertures, in combination with the position of the opening in the front surface inhibits stored golf balls from falling out of the storage space.

A USGA regulation golf ball has a diameter of 1.68 inches. Thus, the diameter of the front surface opening is about 1.69-2.5 inches, inclusive, and preferably in the range of about 1.70-2.0 inches, inclusive. The diameter of the top and bottom apertures is in the range of about 1.2-1.65 inches, inclusive and more preferably in the range of about 1.3-1.6 inches, inclusive.

An exemplary golf ball holder for holding three balls has a height extending between the top and bottom surfaces of about 4.5-4.9 inches, inclusive, and more preferably in the range of about 4.6-4.8 inches, inclusive. The opening in the front surface of the golf ball holder is positioned such that the opening is between the bottom surface and a midline, the midline about halfway between the top surface and the bottom surface.

A golf ball holder according to the present invention has a width extending between the front surface and rear surface and a breadth extending between the first side and second side. Both the width and breadth are in the range of about 1.7-2.5 inches, inclusive and preferably in the range of about 1.9-2.1 inches, inclusive.

Specified sizes of the opening and apertures may be attained by forming the opening and/or apertures to the desired size, such as by molding or cutting, for example. Alternatively, the desired size may be achieved by forming a larger opening or aperture than required and using a grommet or other liner to narrow the opening and/or apertures. Although a golf ball holder according to the present invention is illustrated with an overall rectangular appearance, the golf ball holder optionally has one or more rounded edges. A golf ball holder according to the present invention may be scaled to hold fewer than three or more than three golf balls if desired.

A golf ball holder according to the present invention may be made of any of various materials which can support the weight of stored golf balls. Examples of such materials include natural and synthetic polymers such as plastics. Illustratively, suitable plastics include thermoset and thermoplastic polymers. In a preferred embodiment, a golf ball holder is relatively rigid. The term “relatively rigid” as used herein refers to an object or a material which is not substantially deformable under finger pressure at room temperature. In contrast, a material described as relatively flexible herein is deformable under finger pressure at room temperature. Relatively rigid materials suitable for use in fabricating a golf ball holder according to the present invention include plastics such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polycarbonates, and acrylates, for instance.

A golf ball holder according to the present invention may be made by any of various methods, illustratively including form molding and injection molding.

A brush and brush holder combination included in embodiments of the present invention includes a brush along with a brush holder configured to detachably receive the brush. The brush may be any of various types of brushes typically useful in the game of golf, such as are used for cleaning the golf club face, golf shoes or golf balls.

A provided brush optionally has more than one brush head, each brush head having a different type or different length bristles. For example, a preferred brush is a double headed brush having a first brush head including rigid bristles for heavy duty debris removal. Rigid bristles may be made of a relatively rigid plastic or metal, such as brass. A second brush head optionally has bristles made of a more flexible material, such as nylon.

A brush holder is any of various types of support for detachably receiving a brush. In a preferred embodiment, a provided brush holder includes a base having a top surface including at least one brush engagement element. The base also has a bottom surface opposing the top surface, and the bottom surface includes an attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener.

FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of a brush and brush holder combination 40 according to the present invention. Illustrated is the top surface 41 and the opposing bottom surface 42. A hook portion or loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener 43 is shown attached to the bottom surface 42. Two brush engagement elements 44 are shown supported on the top surface of the base 41. A double headed brush 46 is illustrated which is adapted to be received by the engagement elements 44. The illustrated brush has a brush handle 47 having a rectangular cross-sectional profile, although a provided brush may have a handle having a rounded cross-sectional profile or other shape.

Alternatively, a brush may be provided with an attachment surface having a hook or loop fastener thereon such that the brush may be directly retained by a complementary hook or loop fastener on a golf bag without the need for an intervening holder.

A holder for sunglasses is provided according to embodiments of the present invention for storing sunglasses until needed during a game of golf. Any holder for sunglasses may be used in conjunction with various embodiments of the invention where the holder includes a wall and a cover which together define an interior space for storage of sunglasses. The wall also has an attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, in order to reversibly attach the holder to a golf bag. The cover is movable with respect to the wall to provide access to the internal storage area.

The wall of the sunglass holder defines a top surface, and an opposing bottom surface, a front surface and an opposing rear surface and two side surfaces. The bottom surface includes an attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener so that the holder can be attached to a compatible hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener on a golf bag.

In a specific embodiment of a provided holder for sunglasses, the cover is attached to the wall and may be securely closed. For example, the cover may be attached to the wall by a hinge. Secure closure may be achieved by interlocking snap-fit of the cover and wall or by a latch mechanism, for instance.

A holder for sunglasses according to the present invention includes a wall made of a relatively rigid material so as to protect sunglasses stored inside from being crushed or bent. Illustrative relatively rigid materials include natural and synthetic polymers such as plastics. Illustratively, suitable plastics include thermoset and thermoplastic polymers.

A holder for sunglasses optionally includes a protective liner in the interior space of the holder for protecting sunglass lenses from scratches and impact against the wall or cover. Such a protective liner may be a soft and/or flexible material such as a cloth, soft plastic or foam. A protective liner may be positioned in the interior space so as to be interposed between a pair of sunglasses and the wall and may be optionally attached to the wall in the interior space.

A preferred embodiment of an inventive holder for sunglasses is shown in FIG. 1 at 30 and in FIG. 2 at 130. A sectional view along line 5-5 in FIG. 1 is shown in FIG. 5 which illustrates a section of a holder for sunglasses 30 having a front surface 31, rear surface 32, a side surface 33 and a cover 34 in contact with the front surface 31 and the rear surface 32, the cover positioned substantially opposite the side surface, effectively forming at least a portion of a second side surface. An interior space 35 for a pair of sunglasses is shown along with a pair of sunglasses 36. The rear surface 32 has an attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener 37, in order to reversibly attach the holder to a golf bag.

A preferred embodiment of an inventive sunglasses holder includes a cover hingedly attached to the wall of the sunglasses holder and combining with the wall to form an interior space for holding sunglasses. Such a holder has a front surface, rear surface, a side surface and a cover in contact with the front surface and the rear surface. The cover is positioned substantially opposite the side surface, to effectively form at least a portion of a second side surface. It is further preferred that the cover form most of the second side surface, typically between about 50-90%, inclusive, of the second side surface. In other preferred embodiments, the cover forms a portion of the second side surface in the range of about 75-85% of the second side surface.

A golf tee holder provided according to the present invention may be any of various golf tee holders. An exemplary golf tee holder includes a support having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, the top surface having a plurality of golf tee holsters for storing golf tees. The bottom surface of the golf tee holder includes an attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener so that the golf tee holder may be attached to a complementary hook portion or a loop portion on a golf bag.

Golf tee holsters for storing golf tees may be any of various types. For example, a golf tee holster may be formed as one piece in combination with the support base or by fixing two sides of a sheet or string material to the top surface of the support so that the material in combination with the support surface forms an opening for insertion of the shank portion of a tee. The opening allows the shank portion of the tee to pass but is sized so that the head portion of a tee is prevented from passing through the opening.

A golf glove holder is optionally provided as a golf accessory holder in embodiments of the present invention. A golf glove holder is optionally provided in combination with a golf glove. A golf glove holder may be a hook, clip, hook and loop fastener, or other fastener mounted on a support. A suitable support has a top surface and an opposing bottom surface. The bottom surface of the golf glove holder includes an attachment surface for affixation of a hook portion or a loop portion of an individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener so that the golf glove holder may be attached to a complementary hook portion or a loop portion on a golf bag.

In one embodiment, a golf glove holder includes a fastener, such as a hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener on the top surface of a golf glove holder support. A golf glove is provided which has a complementary hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener so that the glove may be attached to the support. Alternatively, the glove may be directly attached to a hook or loop portion of a fastener fixed to the golf bag.

In a further embodiment, a golf tee holder support includes a golf glove fastener. For example, a hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener is attached to the top surface of a golf tee holder support and a golf glove is provided which has a complementary hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener. Such a device is illustrated in FIG. 1 at 70 and in FIG. 2 at 170.

A golf tee and/or golf glove holder according to the present invention includes a support which may be made of a relatively rigid and/or relatively flexible material. Such materials include natural and synthetic polymers such as plastics. Illustratively, suitable plastics include thermoset and thermoplastic polymers. For example, a flexible material such as silicone plastic may be used.

Optionally, a golf accessory storage element is configured to substantially conform to the curvature of the golf bag. Thus, for example, a golf accessory storage element has a concave surface which substantially conforms to a convex outer surface of a golf bag. In a specific embodiment, a golf accessory storage element having a substantially rigid support for a hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener is configured to substantially conform to the curvature of the golf bag in order to more securely mount the golf accessory storage element on a golf bag. Examples of such configurations are shown in FIG. 1 at 50, and in FIG. 5.

In a further specific embodiment, a golf accessory storage element has a concave surface having a vertical radius in the range of about 6-12 inches, inclusive, preferably in the range of about 9-11 inches, inclusive, and further preferably about 10 inches.

Additional golf accessory storage elements illustratively include a cell phone holder, a beverage bottle holder, a storage pouch and a purse, each of which includes a surface having an affixed hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener in order to attach the element to a complementary portion on a golf bag. Any type of beverage bottle holder may be used. An exemplary preferred beverage bottle holder is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 at 80 and 180, respectively. Such a beverage bottle holder includes a rear support bracket fastened to a bottom support which supports the bottom of a beverage bottle. The rear support bracket further supports a hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener to allow attachment to a complementary hook or loop portion on a golf bag. One or more further supports for a beverage bottle is included and attached to the rear support.

A storage pouch or purse maybe any type of such storage items. In preferred embodiments, a storage pouch or purse includes a fastener for closing the pouch or purse on a front or top surface of the pouch, and a hook or loop portion of a hook and loop fastener affixed to a rear surface in order to attach the pouch or purse to a complementary portion on a golf bag. Such storage pouches and purses are generally made of a flexible material, illustratively including a flexible nylon material and/or buffalo vinyl.

A method of modifying a golf bag is provided according to the present invention which includes attaching at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of a golf bag. Attachment sites on a golf bag include areas on a golf bag where a golf accessory storage element may be positioned. Hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners may be attached to a golf bag by any substantially permanent attachment method, such as sewing or bonding using an adhesive. Optionally, hook and loop fasteners may be supplied to a user with a pre-applied adhesive. Alternatively, a user may apply an adhesive to the hook or loop portion of the fastener or to the golf bag.

As described above, each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements has an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag. Optionally, a user may be supplied with golf accessory storage elements having a pre-applied hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners. In a further option, the user may secure the hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners to one or more golf accessory storage elements.

Also included in a method according to the present invention is attaching at least two golf accessory storage elements to the at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners on a golf bag.

Any patents or publications mentioned in this specification are incorporated herein by reference to the same extent as if each individual publication is specifically and individually indicated to be incorporated by reference.

The systems, devices and methods described herein are presently representative of preferred embodiments, exemplary, and not intended as limitations on the scope of the invention. Changes therein and other uses will occur to those skilled in the art. Such changes and other uses can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the claims.

Claims

1. A system for interchangeable attachment of golf accessories to a golf bag, comprising:

a plurality of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, each individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener having a hook portion and a loop portion; and

at least two golf accessory storage elements, each storage element having an attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, the storage elements selected from the group consisting of: a sunglasses holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and a combination thereof.

2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a golf accessory storage element selected from the group consisting of: a cell phone holder, a beverage holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

The system of claim 1, wherein the sunglasses holder comprises a wall and a cover, the wall comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, the wall and cover defining an internal storage area for a pair of sunglasses, the cover movable with respect to the wall to provide access to the internal storage area.

The system of claim 1, wherein the brush and brush holder combination comprises a brush holder configured to detachably receive the brush, the brush holder having a base with a top surface and a bottom surface opposing the top surface, the top surface comprising at least one brush engagement element, the bottom surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener.

The system of claim 1, wherein the golf ball holder comprises a wall defining an interior storage space for a plurality of golf balls, the wall having a front surface and an opposing rear surface, the rear surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, the wall further having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, a first side surface and an opposing second side surface, the wall further defining an opening through the front surface into the storage space, the opening sized to allow passage of a golf ball therethrough, the wall further defining a first aperture in the top surface and a second aperture in the bottom surface, the first and second apertures sized to prevent passage of a golf ball and to permit passage of an urging implement for urging a golf ball from the interior storage space through the opening.

The system of claim 1, wherein the golf tee holder comprises a support having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, the top surface comprising a plurality of golf tee holsters, and the bottom surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener.

7. The system of claim 6 wherein the golf tee holder support further comprises a golf glove fastener.

8. The system of claim 1, further comprising a golf bag having a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of the golf bag for affixation of a plurality of hook portions or loop portions of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners.

9. A method of modifying a golf bag, comprising:

attaching at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of a golf bag;

attaching at least two golf accessory storage elements to the at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners, each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements having an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag.

10. The method of claim 9 the at least two golf accessory storage elements selected from the group consisting of: a sunglasses holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and a combination thereof.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising a golf accessory storage element selected from the group consisting of: a cell phone holder, a beverage holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

12. A carrier system for a selection of golf accessories, comprising:

a golf bag having an outer surface with at least two hook portions or loop portions of pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners attached to at least two of a plurality of attachment sites on the outer surface of the golf bag; and

at least two golf accessory storage elements, each of the at least two golf accessory storage elements having an attachment surface with an affixed hook portion or loop portion complementary to the hook portion or loop portion attached to the outer surface of the golf bag, wherein the storage elements are selected from the group consisting of: a sunglasses holder, a brush and brush holder combination, a golf ball holder, a golf tee holder, a golf glove holder, and a combination thereof.

13. The carrier system of claim 12, further comprising a golf accessory storage element selected from the group consisting of: a cell phone holder, a beverage holder, a storage pouch and a purse.

14. The carrier system of claim 12, wherein the sunglasses holder comprises a wall and a cover, the wall comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, the wall and cover defining an internal storage area for a pair of sunglasses, the cover movable with respect to the wall to provide access to the internal storage area.

15. The carrier system of claim 12, wherein the brush and brush holder combination comprises a brush holder configured to detachably receive the brush, the brush holder having a base with a top surface and a bottom surface opposing the top surface, the top surface comprising at least one brush engagement element, the bottom surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener.

16. The carrier system of claim 12, wherein the golf ball holder comprises a wall defining an interior storage space for a plurality of golf balls, the wall having a front surface and an opposing rear surface, the rear surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener, the wall further having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, a first side surface and an opposing second side surface, the wall further defining an opening through the front surface into the storage space, the opening sized to allow passage of a golf ball therethrough, the wall further defining a first aperture in the top surface and a second aperture in the bottom surface, the first and second apertures sized to prevent passage of a golf ball and to permit passage of an urging implement for urging a golf ball from the interior storage space through the opening.

17. The carrier system of claim 12, wherein the golf tee holder comprises a support having a top surface and an opposing bottom surface, the top surface comprising a plurality of golf tee holsters, and the bottom surface comprising the attachment surface for affixation of the hook portion or the loop portion of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fastener.

18. The carrier system of claim 17 wherein the golf tee holder support further comprises a golf glove fastener.

19. The carrier system of claim 12, further comprising a golf bag having a plurality of attachment sites on an outer surface of the golf bag for affixation of a plurality of hook portions or loop portions of the individual pre-sized hook-and-loop fasteners.
