Description
BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to an earphone holder.

2. General Background

An earphone holder is used to hold an earphone. A kind of earphone holder is shown in the CN patent No. 02223161.7, issued on Sep. 10, 2003. The earphone holder includes a fitting box and a wire box that are connected with each other. The wire box includes a wire winding structure therein. The fitting box receives earplugs of the earphone. The wire box receives wires of the earphone. The wires are wound around the wire winding structure. The earphone holder is used inconveniently because the fitting box and the wire box are independent of each other.

Therefore, what is needed is a earphone holder that allows convenient use.

SUMMARY

An earphone holder is disclosed. The earphone holder includes a holder body, a holder cover, and a housing. The holder cover is pivotably connected to the holder body. The housing includes a twin-barrel connected to a plate which is rotatably positioned in the holder body, and forms a cavity in each barrel and cutouts defined in walls of the twin-barrel.

Further features and advantages will be provided or will become apparent in the course of the following detailed description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a schematic, isometric view of an earphone holder according to a first embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the earphone holder of FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a schematic, isometric view of the earphone holder opened of FIG. 1;

FIG. 4 is a section view of the earphone holder of FIG. 1; and

FIG. 5 is a schematic, isometric view of the earphone holder inverted of FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, an earphone holder 60 is disclosed. The earphone holder 60 includes a holder body 20 and a holder cover 10. The holder cover 10 and the body are pivotally connected together with a hinge 30. At least one first knuckle 33 of the hinge 30 is formed on the cover 10, and at least one second knuckle 32 of the hinge 30 is formed on the body 20. In the preferred embodiment, two first knuckles 33 are formed on the cover 10. A hollow cylinder is defined in each of the knuckles 32, 33 to allow a shaft pin 31 to hold the knuckles 32, 33 together, thus forming the hinge 30.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the holder body 20 includes a housing 40. The housing 40 includes a plate 49 connected to two cylindrical barrels 43, 44 adjacent to each other and located in the middle of the plate 49. Each of the cylindrical barrels 43, 44 defines a hollow cavity 61, 62 respectively. The cylindrical barrel 43 defines cutouts 45, 47 in a wall thereof. The cylindrical barrel 44 defines cutouts 46, 48 in a wall thereof. The cutouts 47, 48 face each other.

Referring to FIG. 2, the holder body 20 further includes a rotatable plate 50. The rotatable plate 50 includes a main shaft 51, two adjacent shafts 53, and two support rings 56 protruding from a top side of the rotatable plate 50. The holder body 20 defines an opening 21 at a base of the holder body 20. Referring to FIG. 4, the plate 49 defines a main support hole 55 and two adjacent support holes 54, 55. The main shaft 51 and the adjacent shafts 53 respectively pass through the main support hole 55 and the adjacent support holes 54 so as to allow the rotatable plate 50 to be rotatably attached to the holder body 20. The main shaft 51 and the adjacent shafts 53 then are fixed with the plate 49 by welding. The support rings 56 contact the holder body 20 so as to minimize the vibrations when the rotatable plate 50 is rotated.

Referring to FIG. 5, the rotatable plate 50 defines at least one depressions 52 in a bottom side. The depressions 52 are used to assists in the pushing/pulling (with a tip of the finger) of the rotatable plate, thus rotating the housing 40.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the holder cover 10 defines an opening 12. A netted screen 11 is affixed to the holder cover 10 in the opening 12. Consequently, the earphone in the earphone holder 60 is visible under the mesh enclosure 11, and a total/final heaviness of the earphone holder 60 is reduced due to the mesh enclosure 11 instead of a solid section of the holder cover 10.

When the user needs to insert an earphone into the earphone holder 60, he/she places earplugs of the earphone in the cylindrical barrels 43 correspondingly, 44, passes each wire of the earphone through the cutouts 45, 46, rotates the housing 40 thereby winding the wires around the housing 40.

Moreover, it is to be understood that the invention may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the invention is not to be limited to the details given herein.
