PROJECTILE FLIER
A projectile flier has a flying body, a propeller device mounted on the flying body and an actuator detachably combined to the flying body to rotate the propeller device. The flying body has a tube located at its gravity center to rotatably combine with an axis of the propeller device. The actuator has a handle with a pulling device that efficiently drives the axis of the propeller device to rotate. Until the propeller device rotates at high speed to provide efficient floating force, the flying body disengages from the actuator and flies into sky. By efficiently rotating the propeller device with the pulling device, rotation speed of the propeller device is significantly increased to make the flying body fly over a long period and a far distance.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a projectile flier, and more particularly to a projectile filer that is easy for operation and suitable for kids.
2. Description of Related Art
A conventional flier toy, so-called “bamboo dragonfly” in China, is simply composed of a strip and a rod attached to a center of the strip. Two ends of the strip each have a slope surface to perform a propeller blade. By having such simple structure, the flier toy can be operated with hands by rubbing at the rod and quickly releasing the flier. Inertia force keeps the flier rotating to create floating force at the propeller blades to make the flier enable to fly into the sky. However, the flier can not fly long and far because simply rubbing with hands does not provide enough inertia force to the flier to achieve a long journey.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONA main objective of the present invention is to provide a projectile flier that can fly long and far.
Another main objective of the present invention is to provide a projectile flier that can be operated in an effort-saving way.
To achieve the foregoing objectives, the projectile flier comprises:
a flying body having a tube mounted at a gravity center of the flying body;
a propeller device rotatably mounted on the flying body and having an axis penetrating the tube of the flying body; and
an actuator detachably engaged with the axis on the flying body and driving propeller device to rotate, the actuator having:
a handle;
a chamber defined in the handle; and
a reeling assembly received inside the chamber to operationally drive the propeller device.
By efficiently rotating the propeller device with the pulling device, rotation speed of the propeller device is significantly increased to make the flying body fly over a long period and a far distance.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
A projectile flier in accordance with the present invention comprises a flying body, a propeller device mounted on the flying body and an actuator detachably combined to the flying body. The flying body has a tube located at its gravity center to rotatably combine with an axis of the propeller device. The actuator comprises a handle with a pulling device that efficiently drives the axis of the propeller device to rotate. Until the propeller device rotates at high speed to provide efficient floating force, the flying body disengages from the actuator and flies into sky. By efficiently rotating the propeller device with the pulling device, rotation speed of the propeller device is significantly increased to make the flying body fly over a long period and a far distance.

As shown in
The propeller device 20 is a propeller wheel comprises the axis 22, multiple blades 23 and a rim 21. The multiple blades 23 are radially connected to the axis 22. Each blade 23 is a strip inclined about 3 to 7 degrees from the axis 22 to the rim 21 upwardly. The axis 22 extends downward and has a middle portion, a lower portion, a neck 24 defined at the middle portion and a fastener 15 attached at the neck 24 to keep the propeller device 20 from detaching from the tube 13 of the flying body 10. The lower portion of the axis 22 further has an engaging portion 25 in form of cylinder to detachably engage the actuator 30a, 30b.
As shown in
When the projectile flier is assembled, the axis 22 of the propeller device 20 penetrates the tube 13 of the flying body 10 and engages the fastener 15, i.e. an O-ring, at the neck 24 to keep the propeller device 20 secured on the flying body 10. When the projectile flier is operated, the engaging portion 25 of the axis 22 is inserted into the recess of the holding portion 35 on the actuator 30 to temporarily mount on the actuator 30. The string 32 is pulled outward by holding the pulling tag 33 to drive the reel 31 to rotate and then to rotate the propeller device 20 simultaneously. When the propeller device 20 creates enough floating force, the propeller device 20 with the flying body 10 disengages from the actuator 30b. Because the string 32 can be pulled quickly to rotate the propeller device 20 at high speed and with multiple circulations, inertia force of the propeller device 20 is strong to make the flying body 10 fly longer and further than conventional one created by hand operation. Meanwhile, the rubber band 34 is twisted when the string 32 is pulled out so that the rubber band 34 provides a restitution force to the reeling assembly to rewind the string 32 on the reel 31 after releasing the pulling tag 33. Therefore, operation of the projectile flier is effort-saving and convenient.
Although this invention has been described in its preferred form with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present invention of the preferred form has been made only by way of example and that numerous changes in the details of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts any be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
