Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a powder puff casing, and more particularly to a powder puff casing enabling to spread powder which is received in the casing evenly on the puff.

2. Description of the Prior Art

A conventional powder puff casing is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 and has a casing (51), a sponge (52), a puff (53) and a cover (54). The casing (51) has a closed bottom end and a top opening defined in a top end of the casing (51). The sponge (52) is securely received in the top opening of the casing (51) and has a centrally defined through hole (521) in communication with an interior of the casing (51). The puff (53) is mounted on top of the sponge (52) and enclose therein the sponge (52). The cover (54) is able to connect to the casing (51) so as to enclose the puff (53) and the sponge (52).

When the conventional powder puff casing is in use, the user tip over the casing (51) to allow the powder in the casing (51) to be distributed on top of the puff (53) via the through hole (521) so that the user is able to use the puff (53) to puff the powder on the skin.

Even though this powder puff casing has been available for years and the users are quite used to the manner of applying the powder, there is a major drawback in the design of the powder puff casing. The powder is so concentrated in the central area of the puff (52) such that the user will have to constantly move the puff (52) to evenly distribute the powder on the skin. Moving the puff (52) on the skin may be necessary to puff the powder to different areas on the skin. However, the movement of the puff (52) should not be aimed at spreading the powder evenly. As a consequence of this design, the user may sometimes be necessary to move the puff while the puff is still in engagement with the skin to reduce the concentration of the powder.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide an improved powder puff casing to mitigate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an improved powder puff casing which is able to distribute the powder inside the casing evenly.

In order to accomplish the above mentioned objective, the powder puff casing of the present invention includes a bottom casing, a covering, a positioning cover, a porous sponge, a puff and a cover. The bottom casing has a closed bottom end and a top opening. A reduced portion is formed on an outer periphery of the bottom casing. The positioning cover is detachably mounted on top of the reduced portion of the bottom casing and has a circular hole defined through a top face of a reduced neck which is formed on top of the positioning cover to communicate with the interior of the bottom casing. The reduced neck has multiple engagement bars formed thereon. The covering has a substrate to be engaged with an inner face defining the reduced neck of the positioning cover, a neck formed on top of the substrate and having multiple positioning bars, multiple resilient serpentine strips extending from a peripheral edge of a top surface of the neck and a ring formed on free ends of the serpentine strips. Multiple through holes are defined through a top face of the neck to communicate with the interior of the bottom casing.

The porous sponge has multiple voids having a dimension substantially between 0.5˜1 mm. The puff is mounted outside the porous sponge. The cover is detachably connected to the reduced neck and has multiple recesses defined in an inner face thereof to correspond to the engagement bars of the reduced neck of the positioning cover such that after the cover is mounted on top of the positioning cover with the engagement bars received in the recesses, the puff, the porous sponge, the serpentine strips, the ring are all enclosed in a space defined by the cover and the bottom casing. Due to the through holes defined in the top face of the neck and the porous sponge, the powder in the bottom casing is able to spread evenly onto the puff so that the user is able to readily use the powder puff casing.

Other objects, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIG. 1, it is noted that the powder puff casing in accordance with the present invention includes a bottom casing (10), a covering (20), a positioning cover (30), a porous sponge (40), a puff (50) and a cover (60).

The bottom casing (10) has a closed bottom end and a top opening. A reduced portion (11) is formed on an outer periphery of the bottom casing (10).

The positioning cover (30) is detachably mounted on top of the reduced portion (11) of the bottom casing (10) and has a circular hole (31) defined through a top face of a reduced neck (33) which is formed on top of the positioning cover (30) to communicate with an interior of the bottom casing (10). Because of the reduced neck (33), a step (32) is formed between the positioning cover (30) and the reduced neck (33). The reduced neck (33) has multiple engagement bars (34) formed thereon.

The covering (20) has a substrate (21) to be engaged with an inner face defining the reduced neck (33) of the positioning cover (30), a neck (22) formed on top of the substrate (21) and having multiple through holes (222) defined through a top face of the neck (22), positioning bars (221) formed on an outer periphery of the neck (22), multiple resilient serpentine strips (23) extending from a peripheral edge of the top surface of the neck (22) and a ring (24) formed on free ends of the serpentine strips (23). The multiple through holes (222) defined through the top face of the neck (22) communicate with the interior of the bottom casing (10).

The porous sponge (40) has multiple voids (41) having a dimension substantially between 0.5˜1 mm. The puff (50) is mounted outside the porous sponge (40) and has multiple apertures (not shown) to allow the powder to penetrate to the top of the puff (50). The cover (60) is detachably connected to the reduced neck (33) of the positioning cover (30) and has multiple recesses (61) defined in an inner face thereof to correspond to the engagement bars (34) of the reduced neck (33) of the positioning cover (30).

With reference to FIGS. 2 and 3, it is noted that when the powder puff casing of the present invention is assembled, the ring (24), the resilient serpentine strips (23) and the neck (22) are extended through the circular hole (31) of the positioning cover (30) to allow the positioning bars (221) to abut a top face of the reduced neck (33) such that the substrate (21) is securely engaged with a bottom face of the reduced neck (33) and the covering (20) is securely connected to the positioning cover (30). Thereafter, the positioning cover (30) is mounted on top of the reduced portion (11). Then the porous sponge (40) is placed inside the space confined by the resilient serpentine strips (23) and the ring (24). The puff (50) is placed on top of the porous sponge (40) to enclose the resilient serpentine strips (23), the ring (24) as well as the porous sponge (40). Lastly, the cover (60) is mounted on top of the positioning cover (30) to allow the engagement bars (34) to be received in the recesses (61). Thus the assembly of the powder puff casing is finished.

Due to the through holes (222) defined in the top face of the neck (22) and the porous sponge (40), the powder in the bottom casing is able to spread evenly onto the puff so that the user is able to readily use the powder puff casing. Still, the resilient serpentine strips (23) provide the necessary resilience force to the porous sponge (40) to maintain voids in the porous sponge (40) open and prevent clogging to the voids by the powder in the bottom casing (10). (41)

It is to be understood, however, that even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
