Three-folded umbrella with solid ribs

The invention relates to an improved rib structure for using in a three-folded umbrella. The character of the present invention includes a solid first rib, a solid second rib, and a solid third rib. Accompanying with a branch rib and an elastic rib, the assembled umbrella can have a small closed volume by use of every rib closed to a shaft of the umbrella. Hence, the present umbrella can be used more conveniently and effectively.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

As shown in FIG. 1 to 3, it is a traditional three-folded umbrella, which includes a first rib (11), a second rib (12), and a third rib (13). A branch rib (14) and an elastic rib (15) are also provided for completing an umbrella frame. In order to have a small volume in closed state, this known umbrella has the first rib (11) and the second rib (12) with U-shaped cross section usually. But the effect is not good because of the provided connector between the ribs that causes the frame cannot be effectively closed to the shaft of the umbrella.

The present invention is to provide an improved rib structure for using in a three-folded umbrella, which can be closed with a small volume for facilitating carrying by users that overcomes the drawback of prior art. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing frame ribs of a traditional three-folded umbrella.

FIG. 2 is a plan view showing the traditional three-folded umbrella in opening state.

FIG. 3 is a plan view showing the traditional three-folded umbrella in closing state.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a three-folded umbrella with solid ribs according to the present invention.

FIG. 5 is a plan view showing the three-folded umbrella in opening state according to the present invention.

FIG. 6 is a plan view showing the three-folded umbrella in closing state according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, the present invention relates to an improved rib structure for using in a three-folded umbrella. The character of the present invention mainly includes a solid first rib (21), a solid second rib (22), and a solid third rib (23). A connector (3) is provided to pivot with the outer end of the first rib (21) and the inner end of the second rib (22). A branch rib (24) has its fork end connect with middle portion of the first rib (21). An auxiliary rib (26) has its one end connect with a rivet (241) of the branch rib (24) and its other end connect with a rivet (31) of the connector (3) for that the auxiliary rib (26) is parallel to the first rib (21).

The second rib (22) has its outer end connect to a joint (4), which connects with the inner end of the third rib (23). An elastic rib (25) has its one end connect with outer portion of the first rib (21) and the other end with a rivet (41) of the joint (4). A loop (6) is provided to hook the elastic rib (25) on the second rib (22).

Under the assembly as the above mention, the umbrella will be more strong and stable since the frame includes such solid ribs. When the umbrella is closed, every rib can be effectively closed to a shaft (7) of the umbrella. Hence, the umbrella of the present invention obtains a small closed volume and will be useful and convenient. Hence, the present invention should be allowed for a patent.
