Storage Case for Cards and the Like
The present invention provides a storage case for cards and the like, which is capable of storing cards and card packs in association with the cards and the card packs. Frame members 13, 15 are provided on base plates 5, 7. The frame members 13, 15 respectively include a card storage portion 19 which stores at least one card used for a game and the like, and a card pack storage portion 21 which stores a card pack with or without cards enclosed therein. The card storage portion 19 and the card pack storage portion 21 are arranged adjacent to each other. Cover members 31, 33 which are transparent and are made of an integrally-molded component are fitted with the frame members 13, 15.

The present invention relates to a storage case for cards and the like which stores cards used for a card game and the like and a card pack together.
RELATED ARTJapanese Patent Publication No. 2001-270584 (Patent Document 1) discloses a card storage case configured in such a manner that a plurality of transparent card storage sheets including a plurality of card storage pockets are piled up and filed in the shape of a book.
The Utility Model Registration No. 3099862 (Patent Document 2) discloses a card storage case in which a frame member including a plurality of card storage compartments that store a plurality of cards is disposed on a base plate.
Japanese Patent Publication No. 2001-80239 (Patent Document 3) discloses a card pack storage case including a plurality of card pack storage compartments for storing a plurality of card packs wherein the card pack is formed of a bag that stores a plurality of cards.
Japanese Patent Publication No. 2002-2845 (Patent Document 4) discloses a storage case for trading cards, which stores a plurality of card packs stacked in piles in such a manner that cards are visible from the outside.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Problem to be Solved by the InventionThe conventional disclosures of the storage case for cards and the like include either a card storage case for storing individual cards therein for the purpose of neatly arranging the cards, and a pack storage case for storing a card pack therein for the purpose of protecting the card pack from being damaged before sale and for preventing the card from being stolen at a shop. Thus, the card and the card pack have to be stored separately in different storage cases. There has been a problem that it is hard to recognize which the card is associated with which card pack that have been collected or arranged.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a storage case for cards and the like which can store a card and a card pack in association with each other.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like which can store a large amount of the cards and card packs.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like which the cards and the card packs can be easily inserted into and taken out from, and which has a mechanism of preventing the cards and the card packs from falling out therefrom.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like to which a cover member can be easily attached in order to prevent the cards and the card packs from falling out therefrom.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like from which the cover member for preventing the cards and the card packs from falling out can be easily detached.
Even another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like in which the cover member can be easily engaged with and disengaged from the frame member.
Still a further object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like in which the cover member and the frame member can be engaged firmly with a simple mechanism.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like which has a mechanism of preventing the card or the card pack from moving until they get sandwiched between the cover member and the frame member after the cover member has been attached to the frame member.
Even a further object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like in which both of the card and the card pack are visible when they are stored.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like, which is configured in the shape of a binder or a book.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a storage case for cards and the like, which is configured in the shape of a binder or a book that does not open easily.
Means for Solving the ProblemA storage case for cards and the like of the present invention comprises a frame member including a card storage portion, which stores one or more cards used for a card game and the like. The card storage portion includes an opening for card insertion that is open to one direction and a card storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card insertion, which stores the one or more cards. The frame member further includes a card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores a card pack with or without cards enclosed therein. More specifically, the storage case for cards and the like comprises a base plate and the frame member disposed on the base plate and including the card storage portions that store one or more cards used for a card game and the like. The base plate needs to be strong enough to support the frame member, and its material and configuration may be determined arbitrarily. It is needless to say that the base plate and the frame member may be formed integrally. The card storage portion includes the opening for card insertion opposed to the base plate, and the card storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card insertion, which stores the one or more cards. The number of the card storage portions may be determined arbitrarily, and a depth of the card storage portion may be determined in accordance with the number of the cards to be stored therein. In addition, it is needless to say that the two or more frame members may be disposed on the one base plate.
In the storage case for cards and the like of the present invention, the frame member further includes the card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores the card pack with or without a plurality of cards enclosed therein. The card pack storage portion includes an opening for card pack insertion opposed to the base plate and a card pack storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card pack insertion, which stores the card pack. A depth of the card pack storage portion may be determined in accordance with the number of the card packs to be stored therein. Thus, if the card storage portion and the card pack storage portion are arranged adjacent to each other in the frame member, the card stored in the card storage portion and the card pack stored in the card pack storage portion can be stored in association with each other. With this arrangement, it is advantageous that how the stored card and card pack are associated with each other is not forgotten even after time has passed. When the storage case for cards and the like of the present invention, which comprises the base plate and the frame member, is taken as one unit, a plurality of the units may be piled or arranged side by side for storage. The storage cases for cards and the like thus piled or arranged may be stored in an arbitrary manner.
In consideration of carrying around, the storage case for cards and the like may comprise: two base plates; a base plate connecting mechanism which connects the two base plates to allow the base plates to be laterally juxtaposed to each other and also to allow the base plates to be opposed to each other with a gap therebetween; and two frame members disposed on the two base plates in a one-for-one relation and including a card storage portion which stores one or more cards used for a card game and the like. The configuration of the card storage portion, in this case, is the same as described above. The frame member includes a card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores a card pack with or without cards enclosed therein. The configuration of the card pack storage portion is the same as described above. Alternatively, the frame member may be disposed only on one of the two base plates and no frame member may be disposed on the other base plate. Thus, when the two base plates are connected with the base plate connecting mechanism to allow the two base plates to be opposed to each other, the storage case for cards and the like can be configured in the shape of a binder or a book.
Whether or not the storage case for cards and the like is configured in the shape of a binder or a book, it is preferred that a plurality of the card storage portions and a plurality of the card pack storage portions are arranged in a one-for-one relation in the frame member. The one-for-one relation means it is clear that one card storage portion is positionally associated with one card pack storage portion. Preferably, one card storage portion and one card pack storage portion are disposed laterally (side by side) or longitudinally or diagonally with each other. With these arrangements, how the stored cards and card packs are associated with each other can be shown more clearly. In addition, the plurality of card storage portions may be arranged in a straight row, and the plurality of card pack storage portions may be arranged in a straight row side by side with the row of card storage portions. With this arrangement, it is not necessary to provide some space in the frame member, and the dimension of the frame member (or the dimension of the storage case for cards and the like) can be made minimal. Or the plurality of card storage portions and the plurality of card pack storage portions may be alternately disposed. With this arrangement, it is also possible to arrange the plurality of card storage portions and the plurality of card pack storage portions in a one-for-one relation.
There is a problem that the cards cannot easily be taken out from the card storage compartment because the cards are thin. Then, it is preferred to provide a recess for finger access in an inner wall portion, which defines the card storage compartment, of the card storage portion and the recess is formed continuously with the opening for card insertion and the card storage compartment respectively. By providing the recess for finger access, the thin cards can be easily taken out from the card storage compartment.
The depths of the card storage compartment and the card pack storage compartment are determined arbitrarily. In order to increase storage capacity, the card storage compartment may be deep enough to store a plurality of cards, and the card pack storage compartment may be deep enough to store a plurality of card packs.
When the storage case for cards and the like of the present invention also comprises a cover member which covers the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and is configured to allow the card stored in the card storage compartment and the card pack stored in the card pack storage compartment to be viewed from the outside, the card and the card pack can be seen for confirmation after they have been stored. In addition, the cover member may prevent the stored card and card pack from falling out from the frame member even though the storage case for cards and the like is placed in any position. Thus, the storage case for the cards and the like may readily be handled.
When the cover member is provided, the cover member is preferably configured to be detachably attached to the frame member. If the cover member can be detached from the frame member, the cards and the card packs can be smoothly inserted into and taken out from the storage case for cards and the like without being disturbed by the cover member.
An arbitrary mechanism may be employed to detachably attach the cover member to the frame member. For example, the cover member includes an engaging portion, and the frame member includes an engaged portion to be engaged with the engaging portion. Then, the cover member is attached to the frame member with the engaging portion being engaged with the engaged portion. With this configuration, the cover member can be attached to or detached from the frame member merely by engaging or disengaging the engaging portion and the engaged portion.
It is preferred that the engaging portion and the engaged portion are respectively configured to be engaged with each other by making the cover member face the frame member and bringing the cover member toward the frame member. With this configuration, the cover member may be attached to or detached from the frame member merely by bringing the cover member straight toward the frame member, or by pulling the cover member straight apart from the frame member. Accordingly, the cover member may be attached to the frame member more easily.
An arbitrary material may be used for the cover member. For example, if the cover member is made of a material flexible enough to be deformed to disengage engagement of the engaging portion with the engaged portion when the cover member is detached from the frame member, the engaging portion and the engaged portion may be easily engaged and disengaged.
The cover member may be configured arbitrarily. For example, the cover member may be an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, including an opposed wall portion and a cover-member's peripheral wall portion. The opposed wall portion is opposed to the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is continuous with a peripheral edge portion of the opposed wall portion and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a frame-member's peripheral wall portion when the cover member is attached to the frame member. Such integrally-molded component can be mass-produced and contributes to reduce costs. In order to make the card and the card pack visible from the outside after the cover member has been attached to the frame member, some parts of the integrally-molded component need to be transparent or semi-transparent, which are opposed at least to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion.
It is preferred that the opposed portions, opposed to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion of the cover member, are bulged to fit into the card storage compartments or the card pack storage compartments when the cover member is attached to the frame member. Since the opposed portions are thus bulged, when the storage case for cards and the like is shaken while it is being carried with the cover member being faced downwardly, the card stored in the card storage compartment and the card pack stored in the card pack storage compartment may be prevented from slipping into a gap between the cover member and the frame member. Therefore, the storage case for cards and the like may be securely carried regardless of the position in which the storage case is placed. Thus, the storage case for the cards and the like may be more easily handled.
When an outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion is approximately rectangular in shape, the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is formed by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents, and the paired peripheral wall constituents are opposed to each other with the frame member being sandwiched therebetween. In this case, it is preferred that one or more engaging raised portions are integrally formed with one of the pairs of peripheral wall constituents to partially constitute the engaging portion, and one or more engaged recess portions are provided on the frame-member's peripheral wall portion to partially constitute the engaged portion and to be engaged with the one or more engaging raised portions. With this arrangement of the engaging portion and the engaged portion, even if the cover member is configured to be a simple integrally-molded component, the cover member may be firmly attached to the frame member.
It is preferred that two engaging raised portions are provided on one peripheral wall constituent at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portion, and two engaged recess portions are provided on one frame-member's peripheral wall portion that is opposed to the one peripheral wall constituent, at an interval in a peripheral direction of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion, to be engaged with the two engaging raised portions. If the two engaging raised portion and the two engaged recess portions are respectively engaged at an interval, the cover member does not come off easily even when the cover member is big in size, or even when the card pack is heavy, or even when the storage case for cards and the like is carried around with the cover member being faced downwardly. With this configuration, the cover member may be detached relatively easily from the frame member merely by holding with fingers a part of the peripheral wall constituents between the two engaging raised portions and pulling the cover member apart from the frame member.
It is preferred that an external surface of the engaging raised portion includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion and get smoothly into the engaged recess portion. With this configuration, the cover member may be attached to the frame member more easily merely by making the cover member face the frame member and bringing the cover member toward the frame member.
It is preferred that the cover member integrally includes a flange portion formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portion and extending outwardly along the base plate. The nail of a finger can be hooked on the flange portion in order to detach the cover member. Thereby, when removing the cover member from the frame member, the cover member can be pulled apart from the frame member by the nail hooked on the flange portion, and the cover member is detached more easily.
When providing the above-described storage case for cards and the like in the shape of a binder or a book, the connecting mechanism is configured to allow the opposed wall portions of the cover members to be in contact with each other and to allow the two base plates to be arranged substantially in parallel to each other when the two base plates are opposed to each other with the cover members being attached to the two frame members. With this arrangement, even if an external force is applied to the storage case for cards and the like in a thickness direction of the case when the storage case for cards and the like is stored in some place, being closed like the binder or the book, the external force is dispersed into the two cover members and the two frame members that are respectively in contact with each other, thereby reducing the external force applied to the base plate connecting mechanism. As a result, the base plate connecting mechanism is less subject to damage.
It is preferred that the storage case for cards and the like further comprises a base plate separation preventing mechanism which selectively prevents the two base plates from being separated when the base plates are opposed to each other. Such a base plate separation preventing mechanism may effectively prevent the two base plates from being separated, and the storage case for cards and the like in the shape of the binder or the book may be easily handled.
The base plate separation preventing mechanism includes a belt member of which one end is connected to one of the two base plates and that is long enough to extend to a rear side of the other base plate; a connecting member arranged on the other end of the belt member; and a connected member arranged on the other base plate to be detachably connected to the connecting member of the belt member. Since the two base plates are connected via the belt member in this configuration, the base plate separation preventing mechanism may be formed with a simple configuration and with small number of parts. In addition, it is preferred that the base plate separation preventing mechanism is configured to cause the connecting member and the connected member to be connected by means of magnetic force of a permanent magnet. With this arrangement, the connecting member and the connected member may be configured simply, and the base plate and the belt member may also be configured simply.

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The two frame members 13, 15 are formed of an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, or of an integrally-processed component made of a paper-based material. It is needless to say that the surfaces of the two frame members 13, 15 may be subjected to treatment to obtain a good sense of touch and a high-quality looking. Or the surface may be covered with a sheet of shaggy cloth. The frame members 13, 15 are attached with an adhesive onto the two base plates 5, 7 respectively. Each of the frame members 13, 15 integrally includes three card storage portions 19 for storing one or more cards and three card pack storage portions 21. As shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, base walls 19C, 21C of the card storage portions 19 and the card pack storage portions 21 are attached onto the base plates 5, 7 with an adhesive. The card storage portion 19 includes an opening for card insertion 19A opposed to the base plates 5, 7 and a card storage compartment 19B, formed continuously with the opening 19 A for card insertion, which stores one or more cards C. The card pack storage portion 21 has an opening 21A for card pack insertion, opposed to the base plates 5, 7 and a card pack storage compartment 21B, formed continuously with the opening 21A for card pack insertion, which stores one or more card packs P. Since the length and width of the card pack P are larger than those of the card C, the length and the width of each part of the card pack storage portion 21 are defined larger than those of the card storage portion 19.
The frame members 13, 15 include frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A and top-plate walls 13B, 15B respectively. Outlines of the frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A are approximately rectangular in shape. The frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A include two pairs of peripheral wall constituents 13C, 13D and 13E, 13F, or 15C, 15D and 15E, 15F respectively, facing each other on both sides of the frame members. Two engaged recess portions 23, 23 and 25, 25 are provided on the pair of frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13E, 13F and 15E, 15F of the frame members 13, 15 respectively to partially constitute an after-mentioned engaged portions and are engaged with after-mentioned two engaging raised portions of the cover member. The opening portion of these two engaged recess portions 23, 23 and 25, 25 is elongated-elliptical in shape, or elongated-rectangular in shape and both corners are arc-shaped.

As described above, the depths of the card storage compartment 19B and the card pack storage compartment 21B are arbitrary. In order to increase storage capacity, the depth of the card storage compartment 19B may be deep enough to store a plurality of cards, and the depth of the card pack storage compartment 21B may be deep enough to store a plurality of sets of card packs.
One end of the belt member 11 is connected to the base plate 5, and the belt member 11 is long enough to extend to a rear side 7a (a surface opposite to a surface on which the frame member 15 is disposed) of the base plate 7. A connecting member 27, which is made of a permanent magnet, is disposed on the other end of the belt member 11. A connected member 29, which is made of a magnetic substance or a permanent magnet, is embedded in the base plate 7 in the vicinity of the rear side 7a to be detachably connected to the connecting member 27 of the belt member 11. The base plate separation preventing mechanism is constituted by the connecting member 27 and the connected member 29 that are mutually connected by means of magnetic force of a permanent magnet.
In this embodiment of the present invention, transparent cover members 31, 33, which are integrally-molded components made of a synthetic resin, are attached to the frame members 13, 15 respectively. The cover members 31, 33 may be semi-transparent, or only a portion thereof opposed to the openings 19A for card insertion and the openings 21A for card pack insertion may be transparent while the rest portions may be opaque or semi-transparent. The cover members 31, 33 are disposed in order to cover the openings 19A for card insertion and the openings 21A for card pack insertion so that the card C stored in the card storage compartment 19B and the card pack P stored in the card pack storage compartment 21B are visible from the outside. When such cover members 31, 33 are attached, it is not only possible to confirm the card C and the card pack P after they have been stored, but also to prevent the stored card C and card pack P from falling out from the frame members 13, 15 regardless of in what position or how the storage case 1 for the cards and the like is placed.
The Cover members 31, 33 include opposed wall portions 31A, 33A and cover-member's peripheral wall portions 31B, 33B. The opposed wall portions 31A, 33A are opposed to the openings 19A for card insertion and the openings 21A for card pack insertion when the cover member is attached to the frame members 13, 15 respectively. The cover-member's peripheral wall portions 31B, 33B are formed continuously with peripheral edge portions of the opposed wall portions 31A, 33A respectively, and opposed to the outer peripheral surfaces of the frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A of the frame members 13, respectively. A plurality of opposed portions 32, 34 of the cover members 31, 33 are opposed to the openings 19A for card insertion and the openings 21A for card pack insertion. The plurality of opposed portions 32, 34 are formed in such a manner to bulge to fit into the card storage compartments 19B or the card pack storage compartments 21B when the cover members 31, 33 are attached to the frame members 13, 15. Since the opposed portions are thus bulged, even when a shock is applied to the storage case 1 for cards and the like while it is being carried with the cover members 31, 33 being faced downwardly, the card C stored in the card storage compartment 19B and the card pack P stored in the card pack storage compartment 21B may be prevented from slipping into a gap between the cover members 31, 33 and the frame members 13, 15. Therefore, the storage case 1 for cards and the like may be carried regardless of in what position and how the case is placed.
The cover members 31, 33 are configured to be detachably attached to the frame members 13, 15. The mechanism for detachably attaching the cover members 31, 33 to the frame members 13, 15 is arbitrary. Since the outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A of the frame members 13, 15 are approximately rectangular in shape according to this embodiment of the present invention, the cover-member's peripheral wall portions 31B, 33B are constituted by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents respectively (31C, 31D and 31E, 31F: 33C, 33D and 33E, 33F), and each pair is mutually faced on both sides of the frame members 13, 15. One pair of the peripheral wall constituents 31E, 31F, or 33E, 33F integrally include two engaging raised portions 35, 37 that constitute a part of the engaging portion respectively. One peripheral wall constituent includes two engaging raised portions (35, 35, and 37, 37) at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portions (31B, 33B). If the two engaging raised portions (35 and 37) and the two engaged recess portions (23 and 25) are engaged respectively in positions apart from each other, the cover members 31, 33 are not disengaged easily even if the cover members 31, 33 are bigger in size, or even if the storage case 1 for cards and the like is carried around with the cover members 31, 33 being faced downwardly when the card pack P is heavy. The cover members 31, 33 can be detached relatively easily from the frame members 13, 15 by holding with fingers the peripheral wall constituents between the two engaging raised portions 35, 35 and 37, 37 and pulling the cover members 31, 33 apart from the frame members 13, 15. An external surface of the engaging raised portions 35, 37 includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portions 13A, 15A and get smoothly into the engaged recess portions 23, 25.
The cover members 31, 33 integrally include flange portions 31G, 33G respectively that are formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portions 31B, 33B and extending outwardly along the base plates 5, 7. With such arrangement, the flange portions 31G, 33G can be hooked by nail of a fingertip when the cover members 31, 33 are detached from the frame members 13, 15. When the cover members 31, 33 are detached from the frame members 13, 15, the cover members 31, 33 may be pulled apart from the frame members with the nails hooked on the flange portions 31G, 33G.
In this embodiment of the present invention, when the above-mentioned engaging mechanism is adopted, the cover members 31, 33 may be attached to and detached from the frame members 13, 15 merely by engagement and disengagement operations between the engaging portions (35, 37) and the engaged portions (23, 25). Particularly, in this embodiment of the present invention, the engaging portions (35, 37) and the engaged portions (23, 25) are respectively configured to be engaged with each other by making the cover members 31, 33 face the frame members 13, 15 and bringing the cover members 31, 33 toward the frame members 13, 15. With this configuration, the cover members 31, 33 may be attached to or detached from the frame members 13, 15 by bringing the cover members 31, 33 toward the frame members 13, 15 with the cover member being faced to the frame member, or by pulling the cover members 31, 33 apart from the frame members 13, 15. Accordingly, the cover members are attached to the frame members more easily.
In addition in this embodiment of the present invention, the cover members 31, 33 are integrally formed of a synthetic resin material (such as polypropylene), which is flexible enough so that the cover members 31, 33 may be deformed to disengage engagement of the engaging portions (35, 37) and the engaged portions (23, 25) when the cover members 31, 33 are detached from the frame members 13, 15.
In addition, in the storage case 1 for cards and the like according to the present embodiment, which is formed in the shape of a binder or a book, the base plate connecting mechanism 9 is configured to allow the opposed wall portions 31A, 33A of the cover members 31, 33 to be in contact with each other and to allow the two base plates 5, 7 to be arranged substantially in parallel to each other when the two base plates 5, 7 are opposed to each other when the cover members 31, 33 are attached to the frame members 13, 15. In using the storage case for cards and the like as a part of the set of card goods, it is preferred that the card C stored in the card storage portion 19 and the card pack P stored in the card pack storage portion 21 are associated with each other in some manners. For example, a card belongs to a group which exists the least among a plurality of groups of cards available for a card game, and is determined as a card C to be stored in the card storage portion 19. A group of cards which exists the least among the cards means a group composed of the smallest number of cards when the plurality of cards available for a card game can be divided into a plurality sorts of groups. A card belonging to the group which exists the least among the groups of cards is a precious card or an important card in a sense. In other words, such a card is the most interesting card for buyers. If such a card is visible from the outside, not only buyers' attention can be easily drawn thereto but their motivation for buying may be raised.
The card C stored in the card storage portion 19 may be arranged to be a card belonging to the same group as a group to which the cards of the card pack stored in the card pack storage portion 21 belong. In this manner, buyers may know a part of the contents (the kind) of the cards in the card pack P. Therefore, it is advantageous that buyers' expectation is not betrayed and, what is more, their buying motivation is enhanced. In this case, if the card stored in the card storage portion 19 is a card belonging to a group which exists the least among the card groups and is classified into the same group of the cards for the card pack P stored in the card pack storage portion 21, buyers' attention can be easily drawn thereto and what is more, their motivation for buying can be enhanced, as described above.

Although the cover member is provided in some of the above-mentioned embodiments, the cover member is not always necessary unless the storage case for cards and the like is turned upside down when in use.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITYIn the present invention, since a card storage portion and a card pack storage portion are arranged side by side with each other on a frame member, a card stored in the card storage portion and a card pack stored in the card pack storage portion may be stored in association with each other. As a result, it is advantageous that how the stored card and card pack are associated with each other is not forgotten even after time has passed. In addition, it is also advantageous that card collectors' taste may be enhanced.
Claims
1. A storage case for cards and the like comprising:
- two base plates;
- a base plate connecting mechanism which connects the two base plates to allow the base plates to be laterally juxtaposed to each other and also to allow the two base plates to be opposed to each other with a gap therebetween; and
- two frame members disposed on the two base plates in a one-for-one relation and including a card storage portion which stores one or more cards used for a card game and the like,
- the card storage portion including an opening for card insertion, opposed to the base plate, and a card storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card insertion, which stores the one or more cards, the frame member further including a card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores a card pack with or without cards enclosed therein,
- the card pack storage portion including an opening for card pack insertion, opposed to the base plate, and a card pack storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card pack insertion, which stores the card pack.
2. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 1, further comprising:
- a cover member which covers the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion and is configured to allow the card stored in the card storage compartment and the card pack stored in the card pack storage compartment to be viewed from the outside,
- the cover member being configured to be detachably attached to the frame member.
3. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 2, wherein
- the cover member includes an engaging portion;
- the frame member includes an engaged portion to be engaged with the engaging portion; and
- the cover member is attached to the frame member with the engaging portion being engaged with the engaged portion.
4. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 3, wherein the engaging portion and the engaged portion are respectively configured to be engaged with each other by making the cover member face the frame member and bringing the cover member toward the frame member.
5. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 4, wherein the cover member is flexible enough to be deformed to disengage engagement of the engaging portion with the engaged portion when the cover member is detached from the frame member.
6. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 5, wherein the cover member is an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, including an opposed wall portion and a cover-member's peripheral wall portion, the opposed wall portion being opposed to the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and the cover-member's peripheral wall portion being continuous with a peripheral edge portion of the opposed wall portion and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a frame-member's peripheral wall portion when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
7. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 6, wherein the integrally-molded component includes a plurality of opposed portions opposed at least to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion, the opposed portions being transparent or semi-transparent.
8. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 7, wherein the plurality of opposed portions are bulged to fit into the card storage compartment or the card pack storage compartment when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
9. The storage case for cards, card packs, and the like according to claim 6, wherein
- an outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion is approximately rectangular in shape;
- the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is formed by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents, the peripheral wall constituents which are paired being opposed to each other with the frame member being sandwiched therebetween;
- one or more engaging raised portions are integrally formed with one of the pairs of peripheral wall constituents to partially constitute the engaging portion, and one or more engaged recess portions are provided on the frame-member's peripheral wall portion to partially constitute the engaged portion and to be engaged with the one or more engaging raised portions.
10. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 9, wherein
- two of the engaging raised portions are provided on one of the peripheral wall constituents at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portion; and
- two of the engaged recess portions are provided on a portion of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion that is opposed to the one peripheral wall constituent, at an interval in a peripheral direction of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion, to be engaged with the two engaging raised portions.
11. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 9, wherein an external surface of the engaging raised portion includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion and get smoothly into the engaged recess portion.
12. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 6, wherein the cover member integrally includes a flange portion formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portion and extending outwardly along the base plate.
13. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 2, wherein the connecting mechanism is configured to allow the opposed wall portions of the cover members to be in contact with each other and to allow the two base plates to be arranged substantially in parallel to each other when the two base plates are opposed to each other with the cover members being attached to the two frame members.
14. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 2, wherein the cover member is an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, including an opposed wall portion and a cover-member's peripheral wall portion, the opposed wall portion being opposed to the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and the cover-member's peripheral wall portion being continuous with a peripheral edge portion of the opposed wall portion and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a frame-member's peripheral wall portion when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
15. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 14, wherein the integrally-molded component includes a plurality of opposed portions opposed at least to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion, the opposed portions being transparent or semi-transparent.
16. The storage case for card and the like according to claim 15, wherein the plurality of opposed portions are bulged to fit into the card storage compartment or the card pack storage compartment when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
17. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 14, wherein
- an outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion is approximately rectangular in shape;
- the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is formed by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents, the peripheral wall constituents which are paired being opposed to each other with the frame member being sandwiched therebetween;
- one or more engaging raised portions are integrally formed with one of the pairs of peripheral wall constituents to partially constitute the engaging portion, and one or more engaged recess portions are provided on the frame-member's peripheral wall portion to partially constitute the engaged portion and to be engaged with the one or more engaging raised portions.
18. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 17, wherein
- two of the engaging raised portions are provided on one of the peripheral wall constituents at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portion; and
- two of the engaged recess portions are provided on a portion of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion that is opposed to the one peripheral wall constituent, at an interval in a peripheral direction of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion, to be engaged with the two engaging raised portions.
19. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 17, wherein an external surface of the engaging raised portion includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion and get smoothly into the engaged recess portion.
20. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 14, wherein the cover member integrally includes a flange portion formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portion and extending outwardly along the base plate.
21. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 3, wherein the cover member is an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, including an opposed wall portion and a cover-member's peripheral wall portion, the opposed wall portion being opposed to the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and the cover-member's peripheral wall portion being continuous with a peripheral edge portion of the opposed wall portion and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a frame-member's peripheral wall portion when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
22. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 21, wherein the integrally-molded component includes a plurality of opposed portions opposed at least to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion, the opposed portions being transparent or semi-transparent.
23. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 22, wherein the plurality of opposed portions are bulged to fit into the card storage compartment or the card pack storage compartment when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
24. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 21, wherein
- an outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion is approximately rectangular in shape;
- the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is formed by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents, the peripheral wall constituents which are paired being opposed to each other with the frame member being sandwiched therebetween;
- one or more engaging raised portions are integrally formed with one of the pairs of peripheral wall constituents to partially constitute the engaging portion, and one or more engaged recess portions are provided on the frame-member's peripheral wall portion to partially constitute the engaged portion and to be engaged with the one or more engaging raised portions.
25. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 24, wherein
- two of the engaging raised portions are provided on one of the peripheral wall constituents at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portion; and
- two of the engaged recess portions are provided on a portion of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion that is opposed to the one peripheral wall constituent, at an interval in a peripheral direction of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion, to be engaged with the two engaging raised portions.
26. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 24, wherein an external surface of the engaging raised portion includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion and get smoothly into the engaged recess portion.
27. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 21, wherein the cover member integrally includes a flange portion formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portion and extending outwardly along the base plate.
28. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 4, wherein the cover member is an integrally-molded component made of a synthetic resin, including an opposed wall portion and a cover-member's peripheral wall portion, the opposed wall portion being opposed to the opening for card insertion and the opening for card pack insertion, and the cover-member's peripheral wall portion being continuous with a peripheral edge portion of the opposed wall portion and opposed to an outer peripheral surface of a frame-member's peripheral wall portion when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
29. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 28, wherein the integrally-molded component includes a plurality of opposed portions opposed at least to the openings for card insertion and the openings for card pack insertion, the opposed portions being transparent or semi-transparent.
30. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 29, wherein the plurality of opposed portions are bulged to fit into the card storage compartment or the card pack storage compartment when the cover member is attached to the frame member.
31. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 28, wherein
- an outline of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion is approximately rectangular in shape;
- the cover-member's peripheral wall portion is formed by two pairs of peripheral wall constituents, the peripheral wall constituents which are paired being opposed to each other with the frame member being sandwiched therebetween;
- one or more engaging raised portions are integrally formed with one of the pairs of peripheral wall constituents to partially constitute the engaging portion, and one or more engaged recess portions are provided on the frame-member's peripheral wall portion to partially constitute the engaged portion and to be engaged with the one or more engaging raised portions.
32. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 31, wherein
- two of the engaging raised portions are provided on one of the peripheral wall constituents at an interval in a peripheral direction of the cover-member's peripheral wall portion; and
- two of the engaged recess portions are provided on a portion of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion that is opposed to the one peripheral wall constituent, at an interval in a peripheral direction of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion, to be engaged with the two engaging raised portions.
33. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 31, wherein an external surface of the engaging raised portion includes a curved surface so that it may slide on an outer peripheral surface of the frame-member's peripheral wall portion and get smoothly into the engaged recess portions.
34. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 28, wherein the cover member integrally includes a flange portion formed continuously with the cover-member's peripheral wall portion and extending outwardly along the base plate.
35. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of the card storage portions and a plurality of the card pack storage portions are arranged in a one-for-one relation in the frame member.
36. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 35, wherein the plurality of card storage portions are arranged in a straight row, and the plurality of card pack storage portions are arranged in a straight row side by side with the row of card storage portions.
37. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 35, wherein the plurality of card storage portions and the plurality of card pack storage portions are alternately arranged.
38. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 1, wherein a recess for finger access is provided in an inner wall portion, which defines the card storage compartment, of the card storage portion, and is formed continuously with the opening for card insertion and the card storage compartment respectively.
39. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 1, wherein the card storage compartment is deep enough to store a plurality of the cards, and the card pack storage compartment is deep enough to store a plurality of card packs.
40. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 1, further comprising a base plate separation preventing mechanism which selectively prevents the two base plates from being separated when the base plates are opposed to each other.
41. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 40, wherein the base plate separation preventing mechanism includes: a belt member of which one end is connected to one of the two base plates and that is long enough to extend to a rear side of the other base plate; a connecting member arranged on the other end of the belt member; and a connected member arranged on the other base plate to be detachably connected to the connecting member of the belt member.
42. The storage case for cards and the like according to claim 41, wherein the base plate separation preventing mechanism is configured to cause the connecting member and the connected member to be connected by means of magnetic force of a permanent magnet.
43. A storage case for cards and the like comprising a frame member including a card storage portion which stores one or more cards used for a card game and the like,
- the card storage portion including: an opening for card insertion, being open to one direction; and a card storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card insertion, which stores the one or more cards,
- the frame member further including a card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores a card pack with or without cards enclosed therein,
- the card pack storage portion including an opening for card pack insertion, being open to one direction; and a card pack storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card pack insertion, which stores the card pack.
44. A storage case for cards and the like comprising a base plate and a frame member disposed on the base plate and including a card storage portion which stores one or more cards used for a card game and the like,
- the card storage portion including an opening for card insertion, opposed to the base plate, and a card storage compartment formed continuously with the opening for card insertion, which stores the one or more cards,
- the frame member further including a card pack storage portion adjacent to the card storage portion, which stores

- two base plates;
