Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to target blocks of a dartboard and its formation mechanism, particularly to target blocks of a dartboard which can be formed quickly through a formation mechanism. When said target blocks are disposed in the dartboard frame, the target blocks in the same concentric ring and in the same fan-shaped radial strip have two different colors at intervals to distinguish the blocks from each other.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Generally, in a conventional dartboard as shown in FIG. 1, a dartboard frame 10 has a plurality of gradually decreased concentric circles and radially extending ribs which are intersected to define the sectional target areas 11. A plurality of sectional dartboard blocks 12 are disposed in the sectional target areas 11. The surface of sectional target blocks 12 located in the same fan-shaped radial strip have the same color, while the surface of sectional target blocks 12 located in different fan-shaped radial strips have different colors. Accordingly, the target blocks located in the same fan-shaped radial strip represent the same score, and the target blocks located in different fan-shaped radial strips represent different scores. However, the fan-shaped radial strips which are separated and distinguished according to two different colors and the scores shown thereon may be misjudged and thus cause some inconvenience.

Moreover, crevices may occur or increase in a conventional dartboard after darts are hit and removed from the dartboard over a long period of time, which may cause the dart tip cannot be fixed when it hits the dartboard and ultimately impacts on the score calculation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problem occurring in the prior art and obviate the disadvantage of the conventional dartboard.

A purpose of the present invention is to provide target blocks of a dartboard, wherein the internal of said target blocks can be made of sisals or similar materials by disposing a predetermined amount of sisals at the bottom of the mounting seat applied with adhesive in advance through a formation mechanism, so that the sisals can be adhered to the mounting seat as a whole. Moreover, when said target blocks are disposed in the dartboard frame, the target blocks in the same concentric ring and the same fan-shaped radial strip are separated from each other by two different colors.

In accordance with the purpose described above, the dartboard in the present invention comprises a dartboard frame, which is composed of a plurality of dartboard concentric ribs and radially extending rectilinear ribs which are intersected with the concentric ribs, which define a plurality of receiving recesses in different shapes. A sectional target block can be disposed in each receiving recess. Each sectional target block includes a mounting seat which defines a receiving space for disposing of target materials such as a bundle of sisals or straws. The internal bottom of said mounting seat is applied with the adhesive that the target materials can be adhered onto the mounting seat; said target materials are made of a bundle of sisals which are bonded by the sisal materials and run through an assemble machine to cut the sisals into a predetermined shape (i.e. circular, trapezoid, triangular, etc.) and extrude it to a proper tightness using the pressure plate of the assemble machine, and compress it into the mounting seat, then joint into a sectional dartboard block through the adhesive on the mounting seat; said bundle of sisals of the sectional target blocks shall have at least a color for the scoring on the surface, and make the color on the sectional target blocks of the fan-shaped radial strip with the same score different.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3A, the dartboard 21 of the present invention comprises a dartboard frame. Said dartboard frame is composed of a plurality of concentric ribs 22 and radially extending rectilinear ribs 23 which are intersected with the concentric ribs 22, which define a plurality of receiving recesses 24 formed on the dartboard frame. A sectional target block 25 can be disposed in the receiving recesses 24. The sectional target blocks 25 includes a mounting seat 26 which defines a receiving space for disposing of target materials 27 such as a bundle of sisals and straws. The internal bottom of mounting seat 26 is applied with adhesive so that the target materials 27 can be adhered to the mounting seat; said target materials 27 are made of sisals which are bonded by the sisal material and run through an assemble machine 31 to cut the sisals into a predetermined shape (i.e. circular, trapezoid, triangular, etc.) and extrude it to a proper tightness using the pressure plate 351 of the assemble machine 31, and compress it into the mounting seat 26, then joint into a sectional target blocks 25 through the adhesive on the mounting seat 26; the target materials 27 of the sectional target blocks 25 must have colors 251 and 252 for the scoring on the surface, for distinguishing different scoring blocks (as shown in FIG. 3B).

The color design of the dartboard in the present invention is to distinguish the target blocks 25 in the isosceles triangle and target blocks 25 in the isosceles trapezoid which have the same number target blocks by different colors 251 and 252, so that the internal circular target blocks composed by the internal target blocks 25 and external circular target blocks 25 composed by the external target blocks 25 can have interlaced colors of different combination. This presents a more vivid visual reception than the conventional dartboard.

Moreover, the target blocks 25 in the present invention add more than 3 centric circles on the circular target blocks which are radially, equally extended outward from the center. The composed block target areas are colored in contrast between the inner circular areas and outer circular areas, and between each radial block of the circles. The basic color combination is: using colors 251 and 252 between each radial blocks; using a number of colors in the radially extending circular blocks to make each block have different colors.

The surface of a plurality of sectional target blocks 25 described above is colored respectively. When the target blocks are fitted in with each receiving recess, they are located in the same centric circles and the same target blocks 25 of the fan-shaped radial strip. There are different colors in the vicinity. When the different colors of sectional target blocks 25 are positioned in the same fractional areas, the surface colors are different from each other; and the sectional target blocks 25 having relatively the same shape which are not positioned in the same fractional areas have different surface colors at intervals to distinguish the blocks from each other.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3A, the sectional target blocks 25 are formed in accordance with the following procedures (herein, sisal is used as target materials):

(201) firstly, comb the sisal materials used for the target material to smooth and pick the bad sisal;

(202) using the bind strip to bundle the sisal with proper amount into chunk;

(203) put the bundle of sisals in the mounting machine 31, cut said sisals into a predetermined shape (i.e. circular, trapezoid, triangular, etc.), and extrude it into proper tightness using the pressure plate 351 of the mounting machine 31, and extrude it into mounting seat 26 (as shown in FIGS. 4, 5, and 6), so that it can be jointed into a sectional target blocks through the adhesive in the mounting seat 26;

(204) trim the deckle edge on each sectional target block to avoid the partial lengthy sisals from protruding;

(205) apply different colors on each sectional target blocks (e.g. applying red color on the red target blocks) to distinguish the different scoring blocks;

(206) assemble each sectional target blocks into the receiving recess 24 of the dartboard frame, which forms a dartboard 21.

In the embodiment of the present invention, the sisal tightness impacts the dart shooting and pulling. If the sisal is too tight, the dart cannot be shot and pulled easily; if the sisal is too loose, the shot dart can not station at the target blocks. The moderate sisal can make the dart shoot and pull easily. It can expand to fill in the hole that is shot by the dart when the dart is pulled out so that the ugly hole won't show up. The present invention can produce the target blocks with proper tightness via the mounting machine 31 for easy shooting and pulling.

Referring to FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, the mounting machine 31 has a material mount trough 32, trim knife 33, X-axis push rod 34, plurality set bevel angle push rod 35, at least a Y-axis push rod 36 and a turntable 37. Among these, the mount trough 32 is set vertically to stack the bundles of sisals so that each bundle of sisals are produced into sectional target blocks; the trim knife 33 is connected to the retractable arm of the cylinder 41, which enables the cylinder 41 to drive the trim knife 33 to trim the bundles of sisals; the X-axis push rod 34 is connected to the retractable arm of the cylinder 41, which was driven by the cylinder 41 to push the bundles of sisals. Equal bevel angle push rod 35 has a pressure plate 351; the bevel angles are set according to the producing shape (i.e. triangular, circular, trapezoid, etc.) of the target blocks. The equal bevel angle push rod 35 is connected to the retractable arm of the cylinder 41, which was driven by the cylinder 41 to extrude the bundles of sisals. The Y-axis push rod 36 is set on the turntable 37 and connected to the retractable arm of the cylinder 41. It was driven by cylinder 41 to position the sisal into the mounting seat 26 of the turntable 37. The turntable 37 connected to a servo motor. The servo motor can drive the turntable 37 to rotate intermittently (i.e. turn around of 90 degrees per 4 sec). The turntable 37 has several fixing tools. The fixing tools include a mounting seat 26 which is pre-applied with the adhesive for the sisals positioning and adhering.

According to the construction described above, when the mounting machine 31 is moving, the X-axis push rod 34 pushes the lowest sisals in the material mount trough to the bottom of the trim knife 33 so that the trim knife 33 trims the sisals into a predetermined shape. Then, the cylinder 41 drives the pressure plate 351 of the bevel angle push rod 35 to the vicinity of the mounting seat 26. It makes the X-axis push rod 34 push the completed trimming sisals to the pressure plate 351. By using the pressure 351, the bundles of sisals are extruded into a predetermined shape (i.e. triangular, circular, trapezoid, etc.) with proper tightness. It then positions the formed bundles of sisals into the mounting seat 26 via the cylinder 41 by driving the Y-axis push rod 36 to joint it with the sectional target blocks. The servo motor drives the turntable 37 to rotate and make the next mounting seat 26 upper the Y-axis push rod 36 to proceed with the next sectional target blocks assembling. The continuous cycling to move and assemble the sectional target blocks can produce target blocks with proper tightness to have the dart shoot and pull easily.

As described above, the target blocks of the dartboard and its formation mechanism in the present invention certainly has the unprecedented structure. Also, the present invention has not yet been made public, which is consistent with relevant Innovation Patent Low.

Although a preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
