Supporting structure for a chair
A supporting structure for a chair, the supporting structure is a seat, a back support or a headrest. A nylon mesh is fixed on the annular upper surface of an inwardly projecting flange of the frame, and then the plastic-injection-molded engaging layer is integrally formed on the exterior surface of the frame, enabling the mesh to be firmly fixed on the frame. The elasticity of the mesh provides a comfortable and adequate support for the user's buttocks, back and head, providing comfortable seating and preventing muscle soreness. Further, the heat caused by the user's body can be vented off via the apertures of the mesh, so that the user will feel cool when sitting on or leaning against the supporting structure.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a supporting structure for a chair, and more particularly to a supporting structure for a chair that comprises a frame and a nylon mesh fixed on the frame. The elasticity of the mesh provides a comfortable and adequate support for the user's buttocks, back and head, providing comfortable seating and preventing muscle soreness. And the user will feel cool when sitting on or leaning against the supporting structure since the mesh is breathable.
2. Description of the Prior Art
A conventional chair 100 (as shown in
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary objective of the present invention is to provide a supporting structure for a chair, the support structure is a seat, a back support or a headrest. A nylon mesh is fixed on the annular flange of the frame, and then the plastic-injection-molded annular engaging portion is integrally formed on the outer periphery of the frame, enabling the mesh to be firmly fixed on the frame.
The present invention will be more clear from the following description when viewed together with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
Referring to
When the user sits on or leans against the mesh 23, the elasticity and the tension of the mesh 23 is used to absorb the impact force (or the load) caused by the user's buttocks, back and head, providing comfortable seating. Further, the apertures 24 make the mesh 23 breathable and the heat caused by the user's body can be vented off via the apertures 24, providing a cooling effect.
Therefore, the present invention has the following advantages as compared to the prior art:
The support structure 20 is a seat 20A, a back support 20B or a headrest 20C. The nylon mesh 23 is fixed on the annular flange 22 of the frame 21, and then the plastic-injection-molded annular engaging portion 25 is integrally formed on the outer periphery of the frame 21, enabling the mesh 23 to be firmly fixed on the frame 21. The elasticity of the mesh 23 provides a comfortable and adequate support for the user's buttocks, back and head, providing comfortable seating and preventing muscle soreness. Further, the heat caused by the user's body can be vented off via the apertures 24, so that the user will feel cool.
While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Claims
1. A supporting structure for a chair comprising:
- a frame, forming an outer periphery of said supporting structure, having an inwardly projecting flange with an annular upper surface;
- a mesh fixed at an outer periphery thereof to said annular upper surface of said flange, a plurality of apertures being formed in the mesh; and
- an engaging layer, integrally formed on the mesh-covered upper annular surface and on an exterior surface of the frame, thereby firmly fixing the mesh to the frame.
2. The supporting structure for a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting structure is a seat.
3. The supporting structure for a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting structure is a back support.
4. The supporting structure for a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting structure is a headrest.
5. The supporting structure for a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mesh is made of nylon.
6. The supporting structure for a chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein said engaging layer is an injection-molded plastic layer covering the mesh-covered upper annular surface and the exterior surface of the frame, thereby firmly fixing the mesh to the frame.
