Description

The preferred embodiment of the invention is a flexible plastic cylindrical bag 1 as shown in FIG. 1. When the bag is placed around a beer keg 2 and filled with ice and water as shown in pictorial view FIG. 3 and cross section view FIG. 4, the water pressure results in surrounding contact of the inside bag wall with the surface of the beer keg, thus ensuring quick cooling and maintenance of the temperature of the keg and contents near zero degrees Celsius so long as the ice remains. Before and after use the device may be folded flat for compact storage and reuse.

It may readily be envisioned that the preferred embodiment of the invention is not limited to use with only five liter beer kegs, but also may be designed for use with other sizes and types of containers.

FIG. 2 is a pictorial view of a beer keg object to be cooled by the invention.

FIG. 3 is a pictorial view of the invention in FIG. 1 containing ice and water installed around the beer keg of FIG. 2

FIG. 4 is a cross section view of the invention in FIG. 1 containing ice and water installed around the beer keg of FIG. 2

Claims

1. A keg cooler comprised of a cylindrical bag, the purpose of said bag to contain ice and water in surrounding pressure contact with a keg thus cooling the keg and its contents.

2. A bag made from a length of extruded plastic tubing, one end of which is pulled up inside itself to the other end of the tube thus forming a cylindrical container which is closed at one end and open at the other end, the container thus formed being capable of supporting ice and water in surrounding pressure contact with a keg, thus cooling the keg and contents.
