Device for preventing creases and wrinkles
A plurality of devices for preventing creases and wrinkles in articles of clothing best suited for hanging onto the horizontal arm, or the side arms of a clothes hanger and in combination of the two, that connects to, and disconnects from the horizontal arm of the clothes hanger, and quickly and efficiently becomes two devices that connect to, and disconnect from the two side arms of the clothes hanger via a fitting adjustment in the center of the device. The plurality of devices can be reinstalled and used again on the horizontal arm as a single device without compromising the integrity of the functionality of the device. A plurality of fitting Adjustments occur at each end of the device producing a longer length than the horizontal arm of the clothes hanger, and thus allowing installation onto horizontal arms and side arms varying in length resulting from differently manufactured clothes hangers.
1. Field of the Invention
This invention relates mainly to a device used to prevent unwanted creases and wrinkles for a portion of clothing resting on a clothes hanger.
2. Description of the Prior Art
As a result of the standard wire, plastic, and wooden clothes hangers currently manufactured, many people are discouraged by the prospect of having to re iron already ironed pieces of clothing, in order to straighten out unwanted creases and wrinkles, resulting from the ironed pieces being placed onto a standard manufactured clothes hanger for future use. Over the years there have been several clothes hangers developed, as well as several attachments developed to be used in combination with a clothes hanger in an effort to counteract this problem, however at the same time overlooking several prevalent concerns that some consumers have. For instance, U.S. Pat. No. 6,012,620 to Murray addresses the crease and wrinkle problem for articles of clothing best suited for hanging onto the side arms of a clothes hanger such as coats, blouses, and shirts, by mounting to the side arms, a removable attachment having a larger surface for the article of clothing to rest on than that of the side arms. Murray does not address the crease and wrinkle problem, for articles of clothing best suited for hanging onto a horizontal arm of a clothes hanger such as pants, dress slacks, and shorts. Murray's device fails to solve the problem that consumers have, of how to make the existing clothes hangers in their vast collection completely crease and wrinkle proof, and when the two types of clothing are hung onto the same hanger in combination, as many consumers do with regularity. U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,126,049 and 6,213,359 B1 to Gish addresses the crease and wrinkle problem for articles of clothing best suited for hanging onto a horizontal arm of a clothes hanger such as pants, dress slacks, and shorts, by gluing an attachment having a larger cylindrical surface for the article of clothing to rest on, to the smaller cylindrically surfaced horizontal arm. The device does not address the crease and wrinkle problem for articles of clothing best suited for hanging onto the side arms of a clothes hanger such as coats, blouses and shirts. Gish creating a modified clothes hanger that is partially effective, when the two types of clothing are hung onto the same hanger in combination. Gish also fails to solve the problem that consumers have of how to make the existing clothes hangers in their vast collection crease and wrinkle proof. The Gish device made available without the hanger, would make clothes hangers in existing collections partially crease and wrinkle proof, for consumers who hang the two types of clothing onto the same hanger. Neither Murray or Gish providing for any type of fitting adjustment for their devices, when mounting them to side or horizontal arms varying in length, resulting from clothes hangers from different manufactures in existing collections. U.S. Pat. No. 6,840,413 to Cameron having a plurality of devices solving the problems of hanging articles of clothing in combination onto the horizontal and side arms of the clothes hanger at the same time, and providing a single fitting adjustment, thus allowing consumers the opportunity of making the side or horizontal arms varying in length, of existing clothes hangers from different manufactures in their vast collection, crease and wrinkle proof. Gish, or Cameron failing to provide a fitting adjustment in the center of their devices allowing conversion of the single device primarily used on the horizontal arm, into two devices for use on the side arms of the clothes hanger, or two fitting adjustments, one on each end of the device, in the event that a fitting adjustment would be needed on the two devices for the side arms, resulting from differently manufactured clothes hangers, and fail to show or teach that the two devices can be reinstalled onto the horizontal arm and again used as a single device without compromising the integrity of the functionality of the device.

Our invention comprises an innovated light weight crease and wrinkle prevention device that quickly and efficiently connects to, and disconnects from a horizontal arm of a clothes hanger, and quickly and efficiently becomes a plurality of devices that in the same fashion connect to, and disconnect from a plurality of side arms of a clothes hanger via a fitting adjustment in the center of the device. The plurality of devices can be reinstalled and used again on the horizontal arm as a single device without compromising the integrity of the functionality of the device. A plurality of fitting Adjustments occur at least at each end of the device producing a longer length than the horizontal arm of the clothes hanger, and thus allowing installation onto horizontal arms varying in length in existing collections resulting from differently manufactured clothes hangers, and providing a fitting adjustment on the two devices for the side arms should it be needed, also resulting from differently manufactured clothes hangers. The device is used for preventing unwanted creases and wrinkles in articles of clothing best suited for individually hanging onto the horizontal arm, and the side arms of the clothes hanger. And is further suited for hanging articles of clothing onto the horizontal arm, and onto the side arms of the clothes hanger at the same time. Such creases and wrinkles caused by a smaller cylindrical surface, or a non-cylindrical surface of a standard manufactured clothes hanger. Our device is effectively capable of solving the problem that consumers have, of how to easily make existing clothes hangers in their vast collections, completely crease and wrinkle proof. Various other advantages and features of novelty which characterize our invention are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed hereto and forming a part hereof.
