Description
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

This invention is about irrigation & drainage pipe used in drip irrigation system, which especially involves an irrigation & drainage pipe apparatus which has non-uniformly arrayed irrigation & drainage holes.

2. Description of Related Arts

Traditional irrigation & drainage pipe conducts drainage through drainage hole scattered on pipe wall, or through pore on filter cloth, letting water flow in water drainage pipe and then drainage through the main water drainage pipe. This method is easy to block the penetrating drain hole, and the main water drainage pipe gives a very poor drainage effect. Furthermore, when water pass through the penetrating drainage hole or filter cloth, most times, it will leave some sand or earth components. Day after day, it will block the penetrating drainage hole or the filter pore, which will thus fail to drain. If to extend the diameter of the penetrating drainage hole on the pipe wall, it will result in a reduced pressure-resistance of water drainage pipe, and thus lead to a breakdown of the pipe body. Besides, when the large particles of sand or earth grain pass through the expanded penetrating drainage holes and enter into the pipe, they will accumulate on the pipe bottom, which reduce the drainage area inside the pipe, and even block the pipe. When the irrigation & drainage pipe in used on slope, the discharge outlet on the drainage pipe is located near air plants, which will block the outlet when they grow up. This phenomenon is also mainly caused by a vast number of sand or earth near the outlet of the drainage pipe, which is carried by water and is accumulate at the bottom of the pipe. If the accumulated sand is near the outlet of the pipe, it becomes hotbed for plants. When these plants grow up, they will block the outlet of the pipe. On the other possibility, the currently used drainage pipe has evenly distributed drainage holes on the diameter of the pipe wall, so plant seeds on places with little sand or earth can stretch their radicle into the drainage hole opened at the pipe bottom, and root near the bottom of the drainage hole. When they grow up with flourished branches and leaves, they will block the outlet of the pipe.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

The purpose of this invention is to provide a type irrigation and drainage pipe, with arranging irrigation & drainage holes on different level attitude on both inner and outer pipe walls, which form a pressure difference between fluids to make drip irrigation. It prevents sand or earth from blocking the outlet of the irrigation & drainage pipe, which overcomes the insufficiency of current irrigation & drainage pipe apparatus.

To achieve the above purpose, this invention adopts the following technological scheme:

This type of irrigation & drainage pipe shall consist of outer pipe and numerous outer wall irrigation & drainage holes opened on outer pipe wall; inside the outer pipe, there is a main waterway, which houses numerous inner wall irrigation & drainage holes on places above outer wall irrigation & drainage holes.

Said main waterway is a gutter, which fixedly connects to the inner wall of the outer pipe through the bottom and the top ears where equipped with inner wall irritation & drainage holes.

Said outer pipe cross section is in round shape, or in similarity to the corresponding outer pipe cross section of the cross section of the gutter which forms the main waterway.

Said gutter cross section is in shape of horse's hoof or in U or V shape, and the said gutter should be at a height of about ½ pipe body.

Said main waterway is an inner pipe, which houses irritation & drainage holes on either side of the inner wall; the said inner wall irritation & drainage holes are located at height about ½ of the inner wall, and said pipe surface consists of inner pipe surface and outer pipe surface with concaves and convexes.

Said outer pipe consists of numerous inconsecutive sections, and each of said sections comprises two gradually diminished ends to be connect to inner pipe.

Said outer pipe top houses numerous tiny micro-seep pores.

Said inner wall irrigation & drainage hole is in round, oval or square shape.

There also may set one or more secondary waterways between said inner and outer pipe.

The inner wall of said inner pipe is formed with numerous division bars between inner and outer pipe.

According to the above technological scheme, this invention boasts the following benefits:

1. Since the irrigation and drainage holes of the outer pipe are designed near the bottom, when the earth around the pipe is soaked, the water level outside the pipe is higher than the inner irrigation & drainage holes, which are near the central level position inside the pipe. The water level difference produces a pressure difference. The pressure difference, together with penetrating power, will push the water outside the pipe into the outer irrigation & drainage holes at the bottom of the pipe, and will further push water through the inner irrigation & drainage holes into the main waterway, and then through the main waterway to drain out of the pipe. Therefore, the pipe is very unlikely to be clogged.

2. Since the drainage is only based on self-filtering effect of sand or earth, the pressure difference and penetrating power penetrate the water into the irrigation & drainage holes at the pipe bottom. During the draining operation, water will not produce a flushing pressure. Therefore, it will not carry vast quantity of sand or earth grains into the irrigation and drainage holes or pipes to cause clog.

3. Besides, this type of irrigation & drainage pipe is washable using special high-pressure water cleaning tools, regular maintenance and cleaning will prolong the functions of drainage or irrigation as well as the working life.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

As FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 illustrate, the first example on operation of this irrigation & drainage pipe consists of round outer pipe 1 and numerous outer wall irrigation & drainage holes opened at the bottom of the outer pipe 2. A main waterway is resided at pipeline of the outer pipe. The main waterway is gutter 4. On the wall of the gutter higher than the bottom irrigation & drainage holes, there are numerous inner wall irrigation & drainage holes 3. The gutter is fixedly connected to the inner wall of outer pipe through ears 5 located both the bottom and the top of the gutter. Ear 5 is set up on inner wall irrigation & drainage holes 3. Said outer pipe cross section is round, and said gutter has a height of about ½ of the pipe. The cross section of the gutter is in the shape of horse hoof.

In comparison with existing technology, this invention requires to first mix water with fertilizer to make irrigation fluid. Then, based on the required quantity for crops and daily irrigation orders, the irrigation fluid is lead in the irrigation & drainage pipe placed in the filed. When the irrigation fluid enters into the horse's-hoof-shaped main waterway, the level attitude of the irrigation fluid will also rise up into the pipe, near central level position of inner irrigation & drainage holes. When the inner water level is higher than the outer one, it produces a pressure difference from two different levels, which will further push the irrigation fluid at inner pipe into the inner irrigation & drainage holes near central level position. The irrigation fluid will then take advantage of the penetrating pressure, to drip to the earth in the outer irrigation & drainage holes opened near the pipe bottom through the horse-hoof-shaped main waterway and the inner irrigation & drainage holes, letting the earth directly absorb water and nutrition, avoiding evaporation and efflorescence, which realizes water saving and stated and quantified irrigation targets. This type of irrigation pipe also serves another purpose. When heavy rainfall could flood the fields, the irrigation & drainage pipe will become a drainage system to drain out seeper.

Since the irrigation & drainage pipe is imbedded in earth, moisture in the earth will penetrate in the horse-hoof-shaped main waterway, through the act of pressure difference, from a higher-level position outside the pipe through the outer irrigation & drainage holes opened on pipe bottom. During the penetration, moisture must pass through the soil and sand-earth, which is in similarity to the self-filter effect of sand-earth. The larger particles of soil or sand-earth will be self-filtered outside the bottom of the outer irrigation & drainage holes. The foresaid penetrating effect will prevent the soil and sand-earth around the pipe not be directly carried by water into the outer irrigation & drainage holes to cause clog. During experiments, it is discovered that when water penetrates in the irrigation & drainage holes, it will display in a distinct two-section type. The section with more soil components will stay at the lower reach of the hole-way of the irrigation & drainage holes, while the section with less soil components will foremost enter in the main waterway due to the effect of the volume. This indicates that all the water that passes through inner irrigation & drainage holes and then enter into the horse-hoof-shaped main waterway, will contain only very tiny soil components without big-sized soil or sand-earth to clog the pipe. It facilitates the drainage. When soil and sand-earth outside the pipe is self filtered, there is only very tiny soil components left mixing in water into the main waterway, which is designed as horse-hoof-shaped, which is a known shape for the biggest water-carrying area, the best drainage volume, and one of very strong structure shapes. Therefore, when the water with tiny soil components is led to the horse-hoof shaped main waterway, it is easy to run through of the pipe under the powerful flow, which means the irrigation & drainage pipe also has self-cleaning functions.

Besides, this type of irrigation & drainage pipe is cleanable and maintainable with special high-pressure-water cleaning tools at a regular basis, so as to enhance the pipe efficiency and to extend its working life.

FIGS. 3-4 are the second example on operation of this invention. The difference between this and the first example on operation is that said gutter 4a cross section is similar with the corresponding outer pipe 1a cross section, which is also in horse-hoof-shape.

FIGS. 5-7 are the third example on operation of this invention. Said main waterway is an inner pipe 4b. The inner wall irrigation & drainage holes 3b are set on either side of the inner wall of inner pipe. The said inner wall irrigation & drainage holes are set on the place at a height of about ½ of the inner pipe. The said pipe surface consists of inner pipe surface and outer pipe surface with concaves and convexes, with outer pipe irrigation & drainage holes 2b set on the bottom.

FIGS. 8-10 are the fourth example on operation of this invention; said outer pipe 1c consists of numerous inconsecutive sections, and each of the section comprises two gradually diminished ends to be connected to inner pipe 4c. Same as the above examples, there are outer wall irrigation & drainage holes 2c set on the outer pipe, and the inner pipe houses inner wall irrigation & drainage holes 3c.

FIGS. 11-12 are the fifth example on operation of this invention; the difference between this and the first example on operation is that said inner wall irrigation & drainage holes 3d are in square shape.

FIG. 13 is the sixth example on operation of this invention; the difference between this and the first example on operation is that the said outer pipe 1e and the top opposite to outer wall irrigation & drainage holes are equipped with tiny micro-seep pores.

FIG. 14 is the seventh example on operation of this invention. There are still two secondary waterways between the inner and outer pipe. The inner wall of the said inner pipe is formed with numerous division bars 8 between inner and outer pipe. As the inner part is composed of two layers of vacuum structure, it is divided as one part for main waterway part and the other part for irrigation & drainage holes. When materials requiring cooling circulate are flowing inside one of the vacuum structures, they may conduct heat exchange with materials flow in the other layer in the irrigation & drainage holes at the same time, such as water, engine oil, gas, etc.

According to the above examples on operation of this invention, this invention is applicable not only in irrigation field, but also in breast wall and slope drainage on lawn; or it may used for drainage on airport traffic zone, highway and the road surface of cloverleaf junction; it may also used for grass field drainage, such as football court and tennis court; besides it may be applied to internal leaking monitoring apparatus for architectures; it may be used as horizontal forcing pipe for grouting; it may also be placed at garbage piling & filling area, and sea-filling piling & filling area; and it may be used as main body drainage for stone dam; it may be set at the bottom of the concrete dam, as the high-efficiency water-saving sub-irrigation system, or as box-type irrigation system.
