Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present utility model relates to a fastener for cord. In particular, it relates to a fastener for fastening the cord(s) of an article (such as a headphone or a headphone line of a portable music player).

PRIOR ART

Conventionally, various kinds of portable music players are provided with headphones or headphone lines. Users usually put the portable music players in the pockets of their apparel or in their knapsacks. While using the players, the user draws the headphones and headphone lines out of the pockets or the knapsacks to a stretched state and then insert the headphones into their ears. While leaving the players unused for a time, the user has to, as the headphone lines are relatively long, roll them up and put them back into the pockets or the knapsacks. The user has to draws out the headphones and headphone lines to the stretched state again if they want to reuse the players. Hence, it is very inconvenient for the users.

Summary of the Utility Model

The present utility model aims to provide a fastener for cord so as to fasten such cord(s) as a headphone and headphone line(s) or the like (for example, to apparel or a knapsack). In this way, even if the cord is relatively long, while being out of use, it can be simply fastened by means of the fastener to retain its stretched state and it needn't to be rolled up. Therefore, it is much more convenient for the users to use the cord again.

For this purpose, the present utility model provides a fastener for cord, wherein said fastener comprises a base body and a holding portion connected thereto, the holding portion has a through hole for receiving said cord, a slit is arranged in the side wall of the through hole, and the side wall of the through hole is separated into a first part and a second part by means of said slit.

The fastener according to the present utility model may further contain the following technical features:

Said holding portion may be of a cylindrical shape, and the inner wall thereof defines said through hole. Said base body is preferably flat. The middle section of said slit is preferably larger in width than both end sections thereof.

Said base body may be firmly connected to apparel. Preferably, said base body and the holding portion are integrated.

Said fastener is preferably made of elastic materials, such as plastics, rubber or the like.

With the fastener of the present utility model, the cord(s) of an article (such as headphones and headphone lines of a portable music player) can be fastened (for example, to apparel or a knapsack) so as to retain the cord(s) in the same position. In this way, even if the cord is relatively long, it can be simply fastened by means of the fastener to retain its stretched state. It needn't to be rolled up while being out of use. Therefore, it is much more convenient for the users to use the cord again.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Hereinafter the present utility model will be described in detail in combination with the drawings showing the embodiments of the faster.

FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing an embodiment of a fastener for cord according to the present utility model;

FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing the use state of the fastener shown in FIG. 1, wherein the cord is disposed inside the through hole of the holding portion of the fastener;

FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing the use state of the fastener shown in FIG. 1, wherein the fastener is sewed on apparel;

FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing the use state of the fastener shown in FIG. 1, wherein a headphone is disposed inside the holding portion of the fastener.

FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing the use state of the fastener shown in FIG. 1, wherein a headphone is disposed inside the though hole of the holding portion of the fastener.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

FIG. 1 shows a fastener for cord. The fastener comprises a base body 1 and a holding portion 2 connected thereto, the holding portion 2 has a through hole 3 for receiving said cord, a slit 4 is arranged in the side wall of the through hole 3, and the side wall of the through hole 3 is separated into a first part 8 and a second part 9 by means of said slit 4. The cord 5 can be disposed inside or taken out from the through hole 3 through the slit 4.

As can be seen from FIG. 2 to FIG. 5, with the fastener, the cord 5 of an article (such as headphone(s) or headphone line(s) of a portable music player) can be disposed inside the through hole 3 through the slit 4 so as to fasten the cord 5 (such as on the apparel or knapsack 12, as shown in FIG. 3) to hold the cord 5 in the same position. In this way, even if the cord 5 is relatively long, it can be simply fastened by means of the fastener to retain its stretched state and it needn't to be rolled up while being out of use. Therefore, it is much more convenient for the users to use the cord 5 again.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, said holding portion 2 is of a cylindrical shape, and the inner wall thereof defines said through hole 3. It is appreciated that other shapes such as a prismatic shape are also available for the holding portion 2.

The base body 1 shown in FIG. 1 is substantially flat so that it is convenient to sew it on apparel, knapsack or the like. Of course, the base body 1 may be of any other suitable shape such as a column shape.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the middle section 10 of said slit 4 is larger in width than both end sections 11 thereof. In this way, the cord 5 can be easily and conveniently disposed inside or taken out from the through hole 3 through the slit 4.

Said base body 1 may be firmly connected (such as by sewing) to such an article as apparel or knapsack 12 etc. Thereby, the cord 5 can be fastened directly on apparel or knapsack.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the base body 1 and the holding portion 2 are made to be integral, e.g., by means of molding. Other known manners (such as welding etc.) can also be adopted to connect the base body 1 and the holding portion 2.

Said fastener is made of elastic materials (such as rubber, plastics or the like). Thereby, while the user hopes to put the cord 5 into the through hole 3 or take it out of the hole 3, the first part 8 and the second part 9, which are separated by the slit 4, are subject to elastic deformation under the force of fingers of the user and then the edges of the slit 4 move away from each other to make the slit 4 wider. In this way, the cord 5 is disposed inside or taken out from the through hole 3 much easier.

The fastener of the present utility model is suitable for fastening the cord of an article (such as headphones or headphone lines of a portable music player) so as to hold it in the same position. The fastener, due to its small dimension, can be sewed on such an article as apparel or the like. For example, the fastener can be sewed on the neckband of a jacket without affecting its appearance.

The fastener of the present utility model can have various dimensions. When if is small, it can be used for fastening headphone lines, as shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, to retain the headphone lines in a stretched state when the user is enjoying a portable music player. When it is big, it can be used for fastening a headphone, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, to fasten the headphone of a portable music player when the user leaves it unused.
