DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

First embodiment: Now referring to FIGS. 1-6, a roll holder comprises a body 1 and a shaft 2, and the body 1 comprises a left stop-plate 3, a right stop-plate 4 and a wall plate 5. A pair of runners 6 symmetric with each other are disposed on the left stop-plate 3 and the right stop-plate 4; and the front portion 21 of the runner 6 is higher than the end portion 22 thereof. Both ends of the shaft 2 are rotably or rollingly attached to the runners 6 at both sides of the body 1, respectively. A protrusion 7 parallel to the shaft 2 is disposed on the body 1.

As shown in FIG. 4, the runner 6 comprises a slideway 8 and a connector 9, and an angle between a centerline of the connector 9 and that of the slideway 8 is greater than or approximately equal to 90 degrees, so as to prevent the shaft 2 from detaching from the body 1, which may cause the roll 11 to drop when a rolled material is pulled out of the roll holder. The shaft 2 is capable of being detached from or attached to the body 1 via the connector 9. As shown in FIG. 16, the roll 11 is disposed on the shaft 2, a width of the roll 11 is less than a distance between the left stop-plate 3 and the right stop-plate 4, and the shaft 2 passes through a hollow tube 20 on the roll 11, and is fixed on the body 1 via the connector 9.

As shown in FIGS. 16 and 17, a protruding portion of the protrusion 7 is contacted with a part of the outer edge of the roll 11. Referring to FIG. 6, a pair of supporting plates 12 is disposed on the left stop-plate 3 and the right stop-plate 4, respectively. The distance between a front of the supporting plate 12 and the wall plate 5 is less than that between the connector 9 and the wall plate 5. The cover 13 is disposed in front of the roll holder. Both ends of a cover shaft 14 of the cover 13 are rotably attached to a pair of shaft holes 15 at both sides of the front of the supporting plate 12.

The first embodiment of the invention operates as follows: as the rolled material is inserted, the shaft 2 passes the hollow tube 20 of the roll 11, and then both ends of the shaft 2 are disposed into the slideway 8 via the connector 9 at both sides of the body 1. It should be noted that a head of the roll 11 is disposed in an outward direction of the body 1. As the rolled material is drawn, the head is pulled in the horizontal direction; at this time the outer edge of the rolled material is not contacted or releasingly contacted with the protrusion 7, which makes it easy to pull out the rolled material to a required length. As the rolled material is to be cut or torn, the roll 11 is vertically pulled down; at this time the roll 11 forces the shaft 2 to generate a downward and inward component force, which causes an outer edge of the roll 11 to be tightly contacted with the protrusion 7, and thereby the roll 11 is fastened and the rolled material is easily torn or cut. The process of pulling and tearing or cutting the rolled material from the roll 11 may be done with one hand only.

Second embodiment: As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, in a second embodiment of the invention, the runner comprises no connector, and a pair of circularly closed grooves 10 symmetrical to each other is disposed on the left stop-plate and the right top-plate. Both ends of the shaft 2 are capable of smoothly sliding on the grooves 10. Meanwhile, the shaft 2 employs a similar telescopic shaft as in prior art solutions for inserting rolled material. In other aspects this embodiment is the same as the first embodiment.

Third embodiment: Referring to FIGS. 9, 10 and 11, in the third embodiment of the invention, a stop slideway 19 is disposed at the top of the body 1, the left stop-plate 3 and the right stop-plate 4 are respectively appended on the stop slideway 19, and slide thereon. The shaft 2 is divided into a left half-shaft 17 and a right half-shaft 18, and a hollow tube 20 of the roll 11 is received between the two half-shafts (not shown). The runner 6 is an inner groove 16, and an end portion of the shaft 2 is rollingly attached to and fastened in the inner groove 16. As shown in FIG. 9, in other aspects this embodiment is the same as the first embodiment.

Fourth embodiment: As shown in FIGS. 12-15, in this embodiment, the left stop-plate and the right stop-plate of the body are two tubes (sticks) with a U-shaped runner 6. The protrusion 7 is disposed between bottoms (namely back ends 22) of the two U-shaped runners 6. In other aspects this embodiment is the same as the first embodiment

The invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and may be embodied in different forms, such as combinations of the aforesaid embodiments, according to the teachings of the invention.
