LATTICE BAND WITH A CROCHET BAND STYLE

Abstract

The present invention provides an improved lattice band structure of a crochet band style. There is a front crochet band, rear crochet band and connecting line element. The connecting line element is made of braided lines arranged at intervals along the extension direction of front and rear crochet bands. Both ends of the braided line are incorporated onto front and rear crochet bands. Due to the predefined length of braided lines, no braided line between front and rear crochet bands is required to be cut off. So, the front and rear crochet bands can be directly spread to a preset parallel state thus simplifying the structure and reducing the cost and chances of defect with improved economic efficiency.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a lattice band, and more particularly to an innovative lattice band with a crochet band structure as a component of a louver for window shade.

2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98

Said lattice band refers to a banding product for positioning of louver vanes in shades. As said lattice band is generally woven by cloth, it provides a unique texture and aesthetic feeling. Thus, this product currently has a larger share of the window curtain market.

The typical structure of a semi-finished lattice band is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, wherein the typical lattice band is generally a plane weave band. Such a weave band has a very compact texture without a visible gap or aperture between woven lines. The lattice band 10 is provided with front and rear strips 11, 12. With the incorporation of braided lines, the first connecting line element 21 and second connecting line element 22 are formed to connect the front and rear strip 11, 12. The braided lines of the first and second connecting line elements 21, 22 are positioned in the same weave area in an alternative state (shown in FIG. 2), and the first connecting line element 21 is much longer than the second connecting line element 22. After the semi-finished lattice band 10 is manufactured, the shorter second connecting line element must be manually cut off to form a finished lattice band as shown in FIG. 3 (a plane view with spreading of front and rear strip). The longer first connecting line element 21 is used for positioning of louver vanes.

However, there are shortcomings observed during actual applications. The typical lattice band 10 has misaligned first and second connecting line elements 21, 22, so the shorter second connecting line element must be manually cut off to form a finished lattice band, resulting in a stub 220 on the lattice band 10 (shown in FIG. 2). Since a single set of lattice bands is available with dozens of second connecting line elements 22, numerous manpower is required to cut off the line elements in a time-consuming process, making it difficult to save the production costs and to improve economic efficiency. Moreover, since the first and second connecting line elements 21, 22 are arranged in an alternative state, there is a high probability of cutting the first connecting line element 21 accidentally, leading to a higher defect rate.

Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement in the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve efficacy.

Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate design and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention discloses an improved lattice band structure of a crochet band style, which enables both ends of braided lines of said connecting line element to be woven onto the front and rear crochet band. The braided lines of predefined length can be directly spread to a preset spreading state without the need of cutting off any braided line between front and rear crochet band (without stubs). As compared with the prior art, the present invention may eliminate the need of said second connecting line element (the connecting line to be cut off), thus simplifying the structure and reducing the cost and defect with improved economic efficiency.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The features and the advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIGS. 4-5 depict preferred embodiments of improved lattice band of crochet band style of the present invention. The embodiments are provided for only explanatory purposes. The scope of the invention is set by the patent claims.

Said lattice band A of crochet band style comprises a front crochet band 30, rear crochet band 40 and connecting line element 50 for linking the front and rear crochet bands 30, 40. Said crochet band of the present invention, unlike typical plane weave band, is characterized by its loose texture represented by braided lines of the crochet band. From the perspective of the people's vision and touch, the gaps or apertures between braided lines could be visibly observed.

FIGS. 4 and 5 depict a unique structure of crochet band. The core of the present invention lies in the connecting line element 50 being made of braided lines 51 arranged at intervals along the extension direction (upper and lower direction shown in the figure) of front and rear crochet bands 30, 40. Both ends 511, 512 of said braided line 51 are incorporated onto front and rear crochet bands 30, 40 via the crocheting process of crochet band. Due to a predefined length of braided line 31, no braided line between front and rear crochet bands 30, 40 is required to be cut off, so the front and rear crochet bands 30, 40 can be directly spread to a preset parallel state, namely, said braided line 51 of predefined length is used for spanning of louver vanes. Thus, there are no stubs 220 on the surface of front and rear crochet bands 30, 40 of the present invention (shown in FIG. 2).

Referring to FIG. 5, the braided lines 51 of connecting line element 50 may align with each other (note: front crochet band 30 is removed in this figure).

Referring to FIG. 7, the braided lines 51 of connecting line element 50 may misalign with each other (note: front crochet band 30 is removed in this figure).

The braided lines 51 of said connecting line element 50 are made of a plurality of yarns.

Claims

1. A lattice band structure of a crochet band style, comprising:

a front crochet band;

a rear crochet band; and

a connecting line element, linking the front and rear crochet bands and being comprised of braided lines arranged at intervals along an extension direction of the front and rear crochet bands, said braided line having both ends incorporated onto the front and rear crochet bands and having a predefined length, no braided line between the front and rear crochet bands being cut off, the front and rear crochet bands being directly spread to a preset parallel state.

2. The structure defined in claim 1, wherein braided lines of said connecting line element are aligned with each other.

3. The structure defined in claim 1, wherein braided lines of said connecting line element are misaligned with each other.

4. The structure defined in claim 1, wherein braided lines of said connecting line element are comprised of a plurality of yarns.
