Pillow Porter

Abstract

Inspired by the many people carrying their pillows with them when they travel, we decided that the Pillow Porter would fulfill a need. It is a 32 inch wide, 22 inch high, 2.5 inch deep fabric bag for the express purpose of conveniently transporting a bed pillow without tying up your hands. It has an attached strap which can be used over the shoulder or across the chest, leaving hands free for more important tasks.

Description

The Pillow Porter is a fabric carrier for a pillow. Our objective was to create a solution for those who travel with their own pillow. The design is a sensible way to travel with your pillow and allow the hands to be free. The pillow porter is useful and convenient yet looks fashionable and is lightweight and comfortable.

A trademark application has been submitted for the Pillow Porter. The dimensions are 32×22×3 inches and has an overlapping flap in the front approximately 16 inches. The carry strap which measures 70 inches total is attached at the bottom of each side of the bag and runs up both sides. The strap is designed to wear across the chest with the pillow resting on your back. The fabric is not exclusive to the product and it is made in many different patterns, colors and combinations.

FIG. 1 is the front view of the Pillow Porter. The dimensions are 32 inches wide by 22 inches high. This particular pillow porter has a standard sized pillow inside of it to demonstrate the shape, size and form only. The pillow is not included with the Pillow Porter. The pattern of the fabric will vary and is for reference purposes only.

FIG. 2 is a view of the Pillow Porter hanging by the strap which is 70″ in length from the bottom of one side of the bag and continuing to the bottom of the other side of the bag. The strap is attached at both sides of the bag from the bottom to the top and measures 22 inches on each side. The free portion of the strap measures 26 inches and represents the portion of the strap that sits across the chest or over the shoulder.
