Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bag having a mosaic graphic of novel visual effect and particularly to a bag coupling with a mosaic art to provide a special visual effect such as artistic, good looking and amusing to enhance aesthetic appeal and added-value of the bag.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

Handbag is an indispensable container for many people in their daily life. It can hold a lot of personal articles for ready use when going outdoors. With increasing rise of living standard and advance of technology these days the handbag not only provides holding function but has become a stylish goods to indicate owner's social status and match clothing to enhance aesthetic appeal. Thus it is widely procured or collected by the general public. To improve the appeal of profile or provide a unique style, some designers try to make a special pattern design on the handbag surface, such as relievo, embossed traces, drawn creases, embedded ornaments, and the like. How to set apart from the conventional design to incorporate with more aesthetic and innovative ideas is an issue constantly challenging the designers.

Mosaic inlaying technique has a long history. In the earlier time it is mainly adopted on building decoration. It gradually evolves to become an art form. Initially, mosaic painting mostly contains simple traces or patterns with monotonous color. As more novel materials have been discovered and craftsmanship improved, mosaic making is more delicate and coloring is richer. However to fully create a desired mosaic effect still is quite difficult. There is no much restriction on material selection. For instance, rocks and shells can present a rustic and natural flavor. Glass, glazed tiles, enamels and the like also may be used to give mosaic a contemporary feel. These days the art of mosaic has departed from ancillary of buildings and is adaptable to a wide variety of household goods. The application potential is wide open and huge.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention to provide a bag having mosaic graphics that couple the bag with the art of mosaic so that the bag has a special visual effect such as artistic, good looking and amusing to enhance aesthetic appeal and added-value of the bag. The invention includes a bag and an image presenting layer attached to the surface of the bag. The bag may be a commonly used container for holding goods, such as a shopping bag, handbag, backpack, fanny pack, wallet or the like. The image presenting layer includes a base layer and a plurality of image presenting units fastened to the base layer. The surface of each image presenting unit has a single selected color. When multiple image presenting units are laid on the base layer, the single selected color on the surface thereof can form a desired graphic.

The foregoing, as well as additional objects, features and advantages of the invention will be more readily apparent from the following detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The above and other objects of the present invention will become readily apparent by reference to the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the invention.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the image presenting layer of the invention.

FIG. 3 is a schematic view of an embodiment of the invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please referring to FIG. 1, the invention mainly includes a bag 10 and an image presenting layer 20 attached to the surface of the bag 10. The bag 10 may be a container for holding goods such as a shopping bag, handbag, backpack, fanny pack, wallet or the like.

The image presenting layer 20 (referring to FIG. 2) is attached to at least one side of the bag 10, and has a base layer 21 and a plurality of image presenting units 22 fastened to the base layer 21. The base layer 21 is made from a flexible material such as fabrics, leathers, rubber or the like to be fastened by the image presenting units 22. The number of the image presenting units 22 is preferably more than 600 and less than 4000. The image presenting units 22 are rectangular and made of glazed tiles or shaped plastics. Each of the image presenting units 22 has a single selected color on the surface thereof. The image presenting units 22 fastened to the base layer 21 are equally spaced from one another at a selected gap. Because each of the image presenting units 22 has the single selected color on the surface, a desired graphic can be formed by the total arranged image presenting units 22.

By means of the construction set forth above, with the base layer 21 and the image presenting layer 20 consisting of a plurality of image presenting units 22 attached to one side of the bag 10, the image presenting layer 20 can show a desired graphic in a mosaic fashion. The graphic on the image presenting layer 20 is divided into a plurality of segments longitudinally and transversely (each segment representing the position of one image presenting unit 22). And each segment contains at least 50% of the representing color. The position of each segment shows the single selected color represented by the image presenting unit 22. Thus the desired graphic can be shown on the surface of the bag 10. It is to be noted that (also referring to FIG. 3), every two neighboring image presenting units 22 are spaced from each other by a gap. Hence while the overall graphic looks like being divided when looking at a close distance, and the color of each image presenting unit 22 is highlighted so that the graphic looks blurred without showing a crisp image. But looking from a distance the gap between every two image presenting units 22 is negligible. And the colors of the two neighboring image presenting units 22 are merged visually. Hence the graphic can be better recognized and looks more natural (referring to FIG. 3 for the visual effect from a close distance and a longer distance).

In short, the bag 10 according to the invention provides a mosaic graphic which presents two different visual effects at a close distance and a longer distance. It creates a special visual effect such as artistic, good looking and amusing, and can enhance aesthetic appeal and added-value of the bag.

While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been set forth for the purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiment of the invention as well as other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention.
