Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a modification of manufacturing mugs by providing replaceable patterns for manufacturing different kinds of mugs in its outside appearance (hereinafter also referred to as outlook) to improve mug pattern manufacturing efficiency.

2. Descriptions of the Related Art

Conventional processes of mug making include building-integrated then printing patterns on the surface thereof. Therefore, most mugs in the market are made with flat patterns or flat designs and do not have the option of variable design.

If patterns of notch or tridimensional patterns of outlook of mug are required, molds of manufacturing mugs have to be re-designed with particular configurations for different mugs respectively. For manufacturing decades of different mugs with patterns of notch or tridimensional patterns, many different molds are needed, which mean high costs.

Inventor of the present invention considered the drawbacks of the high cost of molds of conventional methods for making mugs, and accumulated many years of experience in relative industries, then developed a mug with replaceable pattern to change the conventional methods of manufacturing mugs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a new way of manufacturing mugs by assemble configurations of the outlook design to reduce the cost of molds and to make mugs with an outstanding outlook.

The present invention is a mug with a replaceable pattern, which mainly comprises of a mug body, a pattern jacket, and a bottom base. By simple assembly, the mug body, the pattern jacket, and the bottom base are combined. The pattern jacket is designed and made with the desired outlook Then the pattern jacket is configured to cover the mug body and is locked to the bottom portion of the mug by the bottom base to prevent the pattern jacket from departing from the mug body.

The present invention provides a mug with replaceable pattern. By providing pattern jackets with different designs, such as patterns of notch or tridimensional patterns, in the outlook, mugs made in the same model can be modified in the outlook. Therefore, manufacturers can make mugs with different patterns and reduce the cost of molds of mugs by developing new pattern jackets and covering mugs made in previous models by the new pattern jackets rather than making new molds.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The drawings disclose an illustrative embodiment of the present invention which serves to exemplify the various advantages and objects hereof, and are as follows:

Following paragraphs provide for a detailed specification and figures of preferred embodiments of the present invention for further explaining technical contents and objectives of the present invention. Figures of the preferred embodiments are as follows.

FIG. 1A is an explosive diagram of a mug with replaceable pattern of the present invention;

FIG. 1B is a combination diagram of the mug with replaceable pattern of the present invention;

FIG. 1C is an integrated diagram of the mug with replaceable pattern of the present invention; and

FIG. 2 illustrates embodiments of the mug with replaceable pattern of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Refer to FIGS. 1A and 1B, the mug with replaceable pattern of the present invention comprises:

a mug body (1), as a main portion of the mug;

a pattern jacket (2) with a surface configured to be printed with a plurality of patterns or colors; and

a bottom base (3), being configured to fix the pattern jacket (2) to the mug body (1).

First, the mug body (1) is made by certain molds with proper size and a handle (11) at upper portion of the mug body (1), as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B. The handle (11) is designed for holding the mug. The handle (11) is connected to upper portion of the mug body (1) at the upper portion thereof, thus the mug body (1) is able to be covered by the pattern jacket (2). Also refer to FIGS. 1A and 1B, the mug body (1) is set with screw lines for screwing the bottom base (3) to the mug body (1), as shown in FIG. 1C.

The desired outlook for manufacturing is designed and made on the pattern jacket (2) in advance, as kinds of patterns shown in FIG. 2. For example, the patterns may be a pattern of notch or a drawing that is carved on the pattern jacket (2) by carving machines and is colored by coloring machines. Or the surface of the pattern jacket (2) is designed in gradations or processed in convex outlook to present the pattern jacket (2) with tridimensional and vivid ensemble. Or aesthetic flat pictures may be directly printed on the surface of the pattern jacket (2) to simplify design and manufacturing of the pattern jacket (2).

Finally, the accomplished pattern jacket (2) is assembled to cover the mug body (1) by assembly machines, and the bottom base (3) is assembled to fix the bottom portion of the mug. The bottom base (3) abuts upon the pattern jacket (2) to prevent the pattern jacket (2) departing from the mug body (1). Besides, since the pattern jacket (2) directly encloses the mug body (1), following designs is provided to prevent the pattern jacket (2) from rotating around the mug body (1).

1. The pattern jacket (2) is adhered to the mug body (1). For example, the adhesion can be achieved through high frequency processes.

2. The pattern jacket (2) is made of high friction coefficient materials, such as rubber materials.

3. The pattern jacket (2) is rough and uneven in an internal surface thereof, and the mug body (1) is rough and uneven in a surface thereof.

4. The upper portion of the bottom base (3) is designed to lock the lower portion of the pattern jacket (2) to provide rotation resistance to the bottom base (3).

Also, as shown in FIG. 2, other than assisting in fixing the pattern jacket (2) at the mug body (1), the bottom base (3) is set with a rectangular fillister for placing a logo or a nameplate. Thus the mug can be used for advertising and promotional purposes.

The aforementioned detail description is for explaining a particular embodiment of the present invention, and the embodiment is not applied to limit the present invention. The equivalent embodiment of modification after understanding the present invention shall be within the scope of the invention.

Many changes and modifications in the above described embodiment of the invention can, of course, be carried out without departing from the scope thereof. Accordingly, to promote the progress in science and the useful arts, the invention is disclosed and is intended to be limited only by the scope of the appended claims.
