ERGONOMIC CHAIR
An improved ergonomic chair, including a chair base, a chair cushion and a chair back located to the rear of the chair base. Support strength of cushion pads on the chair back assumes a fan-shape extending from a lower end towards the upper end, thereby dispersing the compressive stress on the lower back and supporting the back of a person. A support cushion is located on the chair back corresponding to the cervical vertebra of a person, and a head cushion, provided with a plurality of depressions, is located on the chair back above the support cushion. Accordingly, the design of the support cushion and the head cushion facilitating the dispersal of the compressive stress on the lower back and support of the back and cervical vertebra provide the chair back with the ability to appropriately support the cervical vertebra, thereby enabling neck pains to be avoided when sitting.
(a) Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an improved ergonomic chair, and more particularly to an ergonomic chair which enables a chair back to appropriately support the cervical vertebra, and thereby avoid neck pains when sitting.
(b) Description of the Prior Art
Chairs of the prior art are usually structured from a chair base, a chair cushion and a chair back, wherein the chair cushion is disposed on the chair base, and the chair back is joined to the chair cushion at an appropriate angle of inclination, thereby enabling the back of the user to lean against the chair back when sitting on the chair cushion.
However, chair backs of chairs of the prior art are unable to effectively support the cervical vertebra, resulting in poor head postures when sitting, thereby causing pressure on the peripheral nerves of the cervical vertebra when sitting or sleeping on chairs of the prior art for long periods of time and affecting development of the central nervous system.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONHence, in light of the shortcomings of the aforementioned chairs of the prior art, the inventor of the present invention, having accumulated knowhow and manufacturing experience of a diverse range of chairs, attentively researched various methods to resolve the shortcomings, which, following continuous research and improvements, culminated in the design of a completely new improved ergonomic chair of the present invention.
One objective of the present invention is to provide an improved ergonomic chair which enables a chair back to appropriately support the cervical vertebra, thereby enabling avoiding neck pains when sitting.
According to aforementioned objective, the ergonomic chair of the present invention comprises a chair base, a chair cushion and a chair back, wherein the chair base is fitted with front and rear chair feet, the chair cushion is located above the chair base, and the chair back is located to the rear of the chair base. Support strength of cushion pads on the chair back assumes a fan-shape extending from a lower end thereof towards the upper end, thereby dispersing the compressive stress on the lower part of the trunk and supporting the back of a person. A protruding support cushion is located on the chair back corresponding to the position of the cervical vertebra of a person, thereby supporting the cervical vertebra of the person when sitting. A head cushion is located on the chair back above the support cushion, and a plurality of equally spaced depressions are arranged on the head cushion, thereby providing support for the rear portion of a head of the person when sitting. Furthermore, the lower end of the chair back close to the lower part of the trunk of a person is a center point, and two sides of the support cushion gradually slant towards the center point to assume a fan-shape extending from the upper end to the lower end, and each of the depressions are also arranged to gradually slant towards the center point to assume a fan-shape extending from the upper end to the lower end. Accordingly, the design of the support cushion and the head cushion facilitating the dispersal of the compressive stress on the lower part of the trunk and support of the back and cervical vertebra of a person provide the chair back with the ability to appropriately support the cervical vertebra, thereby enabling neck pains to be avoided when sitting, at the same time, the slanting design enabling the support cushion and each of the depressions to assume a fan-shape appropriately supports the cervical vertebra regardless of how the user changes sitting posture, thereby avoiding neck pains from occurring due to poor sitting postures.
To enable a further understanding of said objectives and the technological methods of the invention herein, a brief description of the drawings is provided below followed by a detailed description of the preferred embodiments.
