AIRTIGHT CONTAINER

An airtight container includes a base and a cover mounted on the base. The cover includes a recess defined in a peripheral thereof. A through hole is defined in a bottom of the recess and at least one air channel is defined adjacent to the through hole. The cover includes an airtight device having a button and an anchor clip. The button includes a protrusion and at least one resilient member formed integrally. The protrusion extends into the through hole and fixedly mounts with the anchor clip for simultaneously moving with the button and interacting with the through hole and the at least one air channel to switch an airtight status. When pushing the button, the airtight status is dismissed. When releasing the button, the airtight status is restored due to the reposition of the button by a restitution force of the resilient member.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to an airtight container, and more particularly to an airtight container which can be opened/closed easily.

2. Description of Related Art

A conventional airtight container in accordance with the prior art comprises a cylindrical inner container, a cylindrical outer container, and a cover member. The cylindrical inner container has a bottom portion provided with a first check valve which can discharge air to an outside only is slidably inserted into an inner cylindrical portion of the cylindrical outer container having a bottom portion provided with a second check valve which can discharge air to the outside only. The inner container is hermetically sealed by attaching the cover member to a cylindrical upper end opening portion of the inner container via a sealing member which is slidably contactable. The air left inside the inner container can be discharged by pushing and pulling the inner container and the outer container with respect to each other, therefore the operation of the conventional airtight container is complicated and it is difficult to open/close the conventional airtight container. Since the conventional airtight container has multi-parts, the production cost is rising.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional airtight container.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved airtight container, in that an easy use airtight container with a simple-structure is obtained.

To achieve the objective, the airtight container includes a base and a cover mounted on the base. The cover includes a recess defined in a peripheral of the cover. A through hole is defined in a bottom of the recess and at least one air channel is defined adjacent to the through hole. The cover includes an airtight device having a T-shaped button and an anchor clip. The button includes a protrusion which forms the T-shape and at least one resilient member formed in one piece by injection. The protrusion extends into the through hole and fixedly mounts with the anchor clip for simultaneously moving with the button and interacting with the through hole and the at least one air channel to switch an airtight status. When pushing the button, the airtight status is dismissed. When releasing the button, the airtight status is restored due to the reposition of the button by a restitution force of the resilient member.

Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-2, an airtight container 10 in accordance with the present invention comprises a hollow base 20 adapted to contain objects and a cover 30 mounted on the base 20 for sealingly closing the hollow base 20.

The hollow base 20 is a cylinder with an opening top end. An annular shoulder 21 is formed on a peripheral of the top end of the base 20 for stopping the cover 30.

The cover 30 is a cylinder with an opening bottom end. The bottom end is sleeved on the top end of the hollow base 20. The cover 30 includes a recess 31 defined in a peripheral thereof. A through hole 311 is defined in a bottom of the recess 31 and at least one air channel 312 is defined in the bottom of the recess 31 adjacent to the through hole 311 for providing a ventilated function.

The cover 30 includes an airtight device 40 mounted therein. The airtight device 40 has a T-shaped button 41 and an anchor clip 42 formed with an anchor 421 on a free end of the anchor clip 42. The button 41 includes a button face 410, a hollow protrusion 411 perpendicularly extending from the button face 410 to form the T-shape, and at least one resilient member 413 formed in one piece by injection with a first end longitudinally connected to the button 41 and a second end abutting against the bottom of the recess 31. The button face 410 is in a shape matching the peripheral of the cover 30 for uniform appearance. The protrusion 411 includes a groove 412 defined in a peripheral of the protrusion 411. The protrusion 411 extends into the through hole 311 and the anchor 421 engages with the groove 412. After the anchor clip 42 engaged with the button 41, the through hole 311 and the at least one air channel 312 are sealed by the anchor clip 42 to achieve the airtight purpose. The button face 410 has at least one cutout 414 defined therein for providing a ventilated function.

Referring to FIG. 3, the airtight device 40 is in an airtight status. A restitution force of the at least one resilient member 413 acts between the bottom of the recess 31 and the button 41 to retain the anchor clip 42 for sealing the through hole 311 and the at least one air channel 312. Referring to FIG. 4, the operation of the airtight device 40 is illustrated. When pushing the button 41, the anchor clip 42 moves with the button 41 simultaneously. The through hole 311 and the at least one air channel 312 aren't sealed by the anchor clip 42, therefore the airtight status is dismissed and the cover 30 can be easily opened/closed. After operating the cover 30 and releasing the button 41, the button 41 is repositioned by the restitution force of the at least one resilient member 413. The through hole 311 and the at least one air channel 312 are sealed again, therefore the airtight status is restored.

Referring to the FIG. 5, a second embodiment of the airtight container in accordance with the present invention is illustrated. The airtight container in accordance with the present invention comprises a hollow base 50 and a cover 60 mounted on the base 50 for sealingly closing the hollow base 50.

The hollow base 50 is a cylinder with an opening top end. An annular shoulder 51 is formed on a peripheral of the top end of the base 50 for stopping the cover 60. The base 50 includes a recess 52 defined in a peripheral thereof. A through hole 521 is defined in a bottom of the recess 52 and at least one air channel 522 is defined in the bottom of the recess 52 adjacent to the through hole 521 for providing a ventilated function.

The base 50 includes an airtight device 40 mounted therein. The airtight device 40 has a T-shaped button 41 and an anchor clip 42 with an anchor 421 on a free end of the anchor clip 42. The button 41 includes a button face 410, a hollow protrusion 411 perpendicularly extending from the button face 410 to form the T-shape, and at least one resilient member 413 formed in one piece by injection with a first end longitudinally connected to the button 41 and a second end abutting against the bottom of the recess 31. The button face 410 is in a shape matching the peripheral of the base 50 for uniform appearance. The protrusion 411 includes a groove 412 defined in a peripheral of the protrusion 411. The protrusion 411 extends into the through hole 521 and the anchor 421 engages with the groove 412. After the anchor clip 42 engaged with the button 41, the through hole 521 and the at least one air channel 522 are sealed by the anchor clip 42 to achieve the airtight purpose. The button face 410 has at least one cutout 414 defined therein for providing a ventilated function.

The cover 60 is a cylinder with an opening bottom end. The bottom end is sleeved on the top end of the hollow base 50.

The operation and effects of the second embodiment of the airtight container are the same with those of the first embodiment of the airtight container, and therefore the detail description is omitted.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

Claims

1. An airtight container comprising:

a base; and
a cover airtightly mounted on the base and including an airtight device having a T-shaped button mounted therein, the button having at least one resilient member formed in one piece by injection;
whereby an airtight status is dismissed by pushing the button during operating the cover, the button is repositioned by a restitution force of the resilient member and the airtight status is restored as releasing the button.

2. The airtight container as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cover includes a recess defined in a peripheral thereof for mounting the button, a through hole is defined in a bottom of the recess and at least one air channel is defined in the bottom of the recess adjacent to the through hole, a protrusion formed on the button extends into the through hole to form the T-shape, the airtight device includes an anchor clip mounted with the protrusion for simultaneously moving with the button and interacting with the through hole and the at least one air channel to switch the airtight status.

3. The airtight container as claimed in claim 1, wherein the button includes at least one cutout for providing a ventilated function.

4. An airtight container comprising:

a cover; and
a base airtightly mounted on the cover and including an airtight device having a T-shaped button mounted therein, the button having at least one resilient member formed in one piece by injection,
whereby an airtight status is dismissed by pushing the button during operating the cover, the button is repositioned by a restitution force of the resilient member and the airtight status is restored as releasing the button.

The airtight container as claimed in claim 4, wherein the base includes a recess defined in a peripheral thereof for mounting the button, a through hole is defined in a bottom of the recess and at least one air channel is defined in the bottom of the recess adjacent to the through hole, a protrusion formed on the button extends into the through hole to form the T-shape, the airtight device includes an anchor clip mounted with the protrusion for simultaneously moving with the button and interacting with the through hole and the at least one air channel to switch the airtight status.

6. The airtight container as claimed in claim 4, wherein the button includes at least one cutout for providing a ventilated function.
