Description
BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present disclosure is related to protectors, and particularly to a protector for a portable electronic device.

2. Description of Related Art

Mobile phones are widely used as communication tools. However, electromagnetic radiation, which affects people's health, are emitted by the mobile phones in use. In order to reduce electromagnetic radiation affecting users, earphones are usually adopted to act as output devices of the mobile phones.

The earphones are detachably attached to the mobile phones. When the mobile phones are not in use., the earphones are generally detached from the mobile phones and stored. Sometimes the earphones are wound around the mobile phones, this is not tidy. If the earphones are detached from the mobile phones, it is not convenient to store and/or carry.

What is needed, therefore, is a protector for a portable electronic device to overcome the described limitations.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a protector in accordance with an exemplary embodiment.

FIG. 2 is a schematic view of the protector in FIG. 1 in its using state.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a protector 100 for an electronic device 200 having an earphone 300 is illustrated. In other embodiment, the earphone 300 can be replaced by other peripheral device used with the electronic device 200 together, such as power supply connector, USB connector and so on.

The protector 100 includes a first accommodating portion 110, a second accommodating portion 120 adjacent to the first accommodating portion 110, and a winding mechanism 140 received in the second accommodating portion 120. The first accommodating portion 110 and the second accommodating portion 120 are separated by a partition wall 130.

The first accommodating portion 110 cooperates with the partition wall 130 to form a first rectangular housing for receiving and protecting the electronic device 200. The first accommodating portion 110 includes a casing 112 connecting with the partition wall 130, a cover 114 connected to the casing 112, and two first magnetic button 116 disposed on the casing 112 and the cover 114 correspondingly.

The casing 112 cooperates with the partition wall 130 to form a first receiving space for receiving the electronic device 200. The cover 114 is capable of rotating relative to the casing 112. The two first magnetic button 116 have opposing magnetic poles so they attract each other and fasten the cover 114 to the casing 112 when the cover 114 is folded over the casing 112.

The second accommodating portion 120 cooperates with the partition wall 130 to form a second rectangular housing for receiving and protecting the earphone 300. The second accommodating portion 120 includes a housing 122 and a lid 124 connecting with the partition wall 130, and two second magnetic buttons 126 disposed on the housing 122 and the lid 124 correspondingly.

The housing 122 cooperates with the partition wall 130 to form a second receiving space for receiving the earphone 300. The housing 122 defines an opening 1220 for the earphone 300 to pass through. The opening 1220 can receive a listening end 320 of the earphone 300. The lid 124 can rotate relative to the housing 122. Two second magnetic buttons 126 have opposing magnetic poles so they attract each other and fasten the lid 124 to the housing 122 when the lid 124 is folded over the housing 122, thus the earphone 300 is received in the second accommodating portion 120.

The partition wall 130 is a board separating the first accommodating portion 110 and the second accommodating portion 120. The partition wall 130 defines a hole 132 corresponding to an earphone jack (not shown) of the electronic device 200, thus a plug (not shown) of the earphone 300 is insertable into the earphone jack of the electronic device 200 after passing through the hole 132 of the partition wall 130.

The winding mechanism 140 is used for winding a cable 330 of the earphone 300. In this embodiment, the winding mechanism 140 is mounted on the partition wall 130. The winding mechanism 140 includes a spool 142 extended perpendicularly from the partition wall 130 and a rim 144. In other embodiment, the winding mechanism 140 can be mounted on the second accommodating portion 120.

The cable 330 of the earphone 300 is wound around the spool 142. The rim 144 protrudes from a periphery of the spool 142 at the end of the spool 142 away from the partition wall 130, for preventing the cable 330 of the earphone 300 from sliding out of the spool 142. As such, the cable 330 of the earphone is tidily held in the second accommodating portion 120.

Although certain inventive embodiments of the present disclosure have been specifically described, the present disclosure is not to be construed as being limited thereto. Various changes or modifications can be made to the present disclosure without departing from the scope and spirit of the present disclosure.
