Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a water bag with a wide opening, and more particularly, to a sealing handle for a outdoor use water bag and the handle seals the opening of the water bag.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional outdoor use water bag generally includes an annular opening which is cooperated with a cap so as to close the opening. Two hanging holes are designed to allow two strings or strips in the backpack to extend so as to hang the water bag in the backpack. The other type of the outdoor use water bag has a handle connected to the opening of the water bag for convenience of carry. However, these two conventional way cannot seal the opening properly and the water in the water bag leaks when pressing the water bag. A latest way for the handle of the water bag is to have two ridges extending from inside of the opening and the handle includes a clamp groove, wherein the clamp groove includes two ribs on two insides thereof so as to be cooperated with the ridges in the opening to seal the opening. The handle is designed to cooperate with the water bag that has a wide opening. Nevertheless, the latest handle cannot provide satisfied sealing function.

The present invention intends to provide a handle for an outdoor use water bag and the handle is cooperated with a sealing rod which includes axial ridges at different heights so as to properly seal the opening of the water bag regardless of the thickness of the water bag.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a water bag which comprises an opening and a handle is connected to the water bag and seals the opening. The handle includes a clamp slot defined in an underside thereof and the clamp slot includes a guide opening in one end and a closed end on the other end. A through hole is defined through the closed end. An elongate slit is defined between two parts of the clamp slot. A sealing rod is clamped in the clamp slot and has two connection parts on a first end thereof. The connection parts are engaged with the through hole and movable in radial direction of the sealing rod. A first axial ridge extends radially from an outer surface of the sealing rod and is located corresponding to the elongate slit. Two second axial ridges, two third axial ridges and two fourth axial ridges extending radially from the sealing rod at different heights when viewed from any one of the first and second ends of the sealing rod. The first axial ridge is located between the second, third and fourth ridges. A part having the opening of the water bag is inserted into the clamp slot and goes around the sealing rod and extends beyond the clamp slot. The second axial ridges contact two respective lower insides of the two parts of the clamp slot, the two third axial ridges contacting two respective mediate insides of the two parts of the clamp slot, or the two fourth axial ridges contacting two respective upper insides of the two parts of the clamp slot depending the thickness of the water bag.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the sealing handle of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is an exploded view to show the sealing handle of the present invention viewed from another angle;

FIG. 3 shows the water bag is connected to the sealing handle of the present invention;

FIG. 4-A shows a cross sectional view taken along line A-A in FIG. 3, wherein the water bag has a minimum thickness;

FIG. 4-B shows a cross sectional view taken along line A-A in FIG. 3, wherein the water bag has a mediate thickness;

FIG. 4-C shows a cross sectional view taken along line A-A in FIG. 3, wherein the water bag has the most thickness, and

FIG. 5 shows the water bag connected with the sealing handle and a hose is connected to the outlet frame on the water bag.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3 and 5, the water bag 3 includes an opening 31 and the sealing handle 1 is connected to the water bag 3 and seals the opening 31. Two snap members 311 are connected to one side of the water bag 3 and located close to the opening 31.

A carry hole 12 is defined through the sealing handle 1 for convenience of carrying the water bag 3. The sealing handle 1 further includes two engaging holes 13 defined therethrough which are used to positioning the hose as shown in FIG. 5. The sealing handle 1 also includes two hanging holes 14 defined therethrough so that ropes can be extended through the hanging holes 14 to hang the water bag 3. A clamp slot 11 is defined in an underside of the sealing handle 1 and includes a guide opening 111 in one end and a closed end on the other end. A through hole 112 is defined through the closed end. An elongate slit 113 is defined between two parts of the clamp slot 11.

A sealing rod 2 is clamped in the clamp slot 11 and has two connection parts 22 on a first end thereof. The connection parts 22 are engaged with the through hole 112 which are larger than the two connection parts 22 such that the two connection parts 22 are movable in radial direction of the sealing rod 2. A guide tapered end 21 is formed on a second end of the sealing rod 2. A first axial ridge 23 extends radially from an outer surface of the sealing rod 2 and located corresponding to the elongate slit 113.

Referring to FIGS. 4A to 4C, the sealing rod 2 includes two second axial ridges 24, two third axial ridges 25 and two fourth axial ridges 26 extending radially from the sealing rod 2 at different heights when viewed from any one of the first and second ends of the sealing rod 2. The first axial ridge 23 located between the second, third and fourth ridges 24, 25, 26. The part having the opening 31 of the water bag 3 is inserted into the clamp slot 11 and goes around the sealing rod 2, and extends beyond the clamp slot 11. The two snap members 311 are snapped to each other to form a loop in which the sealing rod 2 is located. When the water bag 3 has a thin wall, the second axial ridges 24 contact two respective lower insides of the two parts of the clamp slot 11 so as to seal the opening 31. If the water bag 3 has a wall of mediate thickness, the two third axial ridges 25 contact two respective mediate insides of the two parts of the clamp slot 11 to seal the opening 31. If the water bag 3 has a wall of thick thickness, the two the two fourth axial ridges 26 contact two respective upper insides of the two parts of the clamp slot 11 to seal the opening 31. In other words, the sealing handle can seal the opening 31 regardless the thickness of the water bag 3.

As shown in FIG. 5, the hose 33 has one end connected to the outlet frame 32 on the water bag 3 and the other end of the hose 33 is connected with a connector 34 so as to be connected with different component.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
