Abstract: Bag trapping apparatus includes a housing, a cord attached to the housing for enabling the housing to be suspended in a position elevated from an underlying horizontal surface, trapping structure on the housing for removably fixing an open upper end of a bag to the housing, and a slotted membrane through which the bag passes when the open upper end of the bag is trapped by the trapping structure. A bottom closed end of the bag is below the membrane so that waste is insertable into the bag through the membrane. The membrane provides odor control and a barrier. If a drawstring bag is used, a raised ridge may be provided on the housing to secure the drawstring.

Abstract: A case for a lens or telescope has a generally cylindrical side wall attached to a top wall and a bottom wall defining a compartment accessed by an opening extending across the top wall away from a belt mounting sleeve and down the side wall opposite the belt mounting sleeve. The top wall and the side wall are deformable to permit the opening to be enlarged by hand for insertion or removal of the lens or telescope. A zipper secures the opening. An additional opening may be provided at a juncture of the top wall and the side wall.

Abstract: A flexible package for storing and transporting bulk goods. Such flexible package can have material-impermeable connections for spreading out sections of the flexible package wall so as to correspond to a predefined shape. One or more docking connections for filling and discharging can be included. The flexible package can have a square bottom and adjacent to the sides thereof triangular stubs as lateral walls. Together, such lateral walls can form an upwardly open pyramid shape. Opposite the bottom, a coupling element can be connected in such a manner that it presents the flexible package so as to be sealable in a standardized manner on open-sided ends of the lateral walls.

Abstract: Provided are pouches with rigid handles and/or internal supports and methods of making such pouches. In one aspect, a pouch with internal support includes a flexible pouch including a fitment coupled to a flexible pouch body and at least one inner support piece coupled to the fitment and extending into the inside of the pouch through the interior of the fitment. The fitment includes a fitment inner engagement feature and the at least one inner support piece includes an inner support engagement feature and at least one inner support extending from the inner support engagement feature. The fitment inner engagement feature and inner support engagement feature are interlocked to keep the at least one inner support piece from falling into or out of the flexible pouch body.

Abstract: A container has a box shape and comprises a bottom wall, side walls forming a circumferential wall of the container and a strap. One or more straps form four lifting loops at the upper side of the container and are fixed to the side walls diagonally such that the strap forms a V-shape on each of said side walls between two adjacent lifting loops. The strap can be free from the side walls at lower ends of the V-shapes so as to form fastening loops.

Abstract: A hanging pail comprising a hanger pocket comprising an aperture for a hook portion of a clothes hanger, a mouth portion comprising an arcuate edge, a top half and a bottom half, wherein the top half overlaps the bottom half at a center of the mouth portion, a front body portion comprising a semi-rigid frame that extends around the arcuate edge of the mouth portion, a bottom portion comprising a top edge, a zipper that extends around a portion of the top edge of the bottom portion and connects the bottom portion to the front body portion and the rear body portion, and a connecting portion that connects the bottom portion to the rear body panel when the zipper is fully unzipped.

Abstract: A flexible container includes a bottom wall, a plurality of side walls, each extending upwardly from the bottom wall and each having a top end defining an opening into an interior of the container, and a top wall connected to the top end of at least one of the side walls. The top wall covers the opening. A continuous mesh layer is connected to the top end of at least one of the side walls and provides ventilation to the interior of the container. A flexible handle is attached to an exterior surface of at least one of the side walls. The handle includes multiple layers of flexible thermoplastic material connected together, with a first end of the handle being attached to (i) the at least one side wall near the top end thereof, and (ii) the continuous mesh layer.

Abstract: An air gill bag of a debris collection and disposal system (or lawn care leaf and debris collection system) for receiving a leaves, yard debris and other types of suitable debris for containment for subsequent disposal. The air gill bag comprises an elongated bag body which includes an open top, a closed bottom, a plurality of air gill cut strips, and a plurality of strength strips. In the preferred embodiment, the air gill cut strips and the strength strips form columns of perforated and non-perforated surface material. Such a configuration allows the propelled air directed into the bag to be ventilated through the bag and debris directed into the bag to be trapped, with the bag still retaining much of its durability and tear resistance despite presence of extensive perforations. The air gill bag is typically attached to the vacuum bag outlet of a machine blower using a dual attachment strap.

Abstract: A plastic trash bag, which may be reusable or disposable, has a zipper that requires a multi-direction opening/closing motion. The opening/closing direction of the zipper is reversed along the zipper track by an obtuse angle (90°-180°. Since the zipper closure has an obtuse reverse bend, the opening of the sealed bag requires a degree of dexterity beyond that of an animal attempting to tear the bag open.

Abstract: A flexible packaging container is provided. The container is formed of a first flexible film. The container comprises a cavity for receiving a dispensable product, a first sidewall and a second sidewall opposite the first sidewall. The container also comprises at least one strap formed of a second flexible film, the strap located within the cavity. The strap has a first end connected to the first sidewall and a second end connected to the second sidewall.

Abstract: The present invention provides an aesthetically pleasing portable wine bottle carrier that folds into something with the general size, shape, and appearance of a wallet. The invention comprises a tote bag having a semi-rigid bottom and non-rigid front, rear, and side sections, and an open top, along with creases in the material to facilitate easy folding into what has an outward appearance of a wallet.

Abstract: A method is provided for storing a cooked food in a flexible-walled container having an opening. The method includes placing a quantity of food in a flexible-walled container and submerging at least a portion of the container in a liquid with the opening being located so that liquid does not enter the opening. At least the lower portion of the container is maintained in the liquid and the food is maintained in the container below the surface of the liquid. The liquid collapses the container to seal the container. The temperature of the liquid may be maintained at a non-ambient temperature to heat or cool the food as it is stored. The method may also include storing the food adjacent a work surface, or at a remote main vat and transporting the rack to the work surface at which a serving that includes the food is prepared.

Abstract: A bag capable of moving between a flattened generally planar condition to an open generally parallelepipedal shape has in the flattened condition closely juxtaposed flat rectangular front and back face panels. A rectangular top panel has front and back edges joined to the top edges of the respective front and back face panels and side edges bridging ends of the respective front and back edges. The top panel has a crease between the respective front and back edges and is folded inward therefrom to lie between the face panels. A similar rectangular floor panel is secured to the lower edges of the face panels. A pair of rectangular side gusset panels each have vertical front and back edges respectively joined to the side edges of the front and back panels and upper and lower edges joined to the side edges of the top and bottom panels.

Abstract: A bulk bag apparatus provides a bag having a bottom wall, a top portion, side walls and seams joining each side wall to another side wall, and bag corners at the seams. First and second lifting slings are rigged to the bag, the slings being spaced apart and not intersecting, preferably parallel to each other. A portion of the bottom wall of the bag is exposed in between the slings so that the bottom wall can be cut such as for discharging the contents of the bag. Bottom guides are provided on the bag bottom portion. Side guides are provided on the bag side walls. Corner guides are provided that each extend from the bottom wall to a side wall and across a bottom corner of the bag. Each guide provides an open ended channel that is receptive of a lifting sling. Each corner has an eyelet attached to the bag top portion at the corner.

Abstract: A multi-purpose, reusable dumpster bag with a large capacity consisting of an open top, a flat bottom, and four walls including reinforced strapping with four loops attached to the top sidewalls for lifting of the bag and four loops attached to the bottom sidewalls of the bag used for tipping and dumping of the contents into the collection vehicle. Whereas the top set of four loops may be used to raise and lower the bag, the bottom set of four loops intrinsically distinguish the present invention from current single use dumpster gabs and reusable dumpster bags industry-wide, as they enable, without the aid of a discharge mechanism, this reusable dumpster bag to be easily lifted and turned upside down for dumping purposes.

Abstract: A closable tarp allows a user to put household items, such as grass clippings, leaves, clothes and the like, on the tarp. The user can fold the tarp in half and close it to create an interior storage and transportation section. Handles can be provided to allow for easy transportation of the closed tarp. The closable tarp of the present invention is easy to clean and completely reusable.

Abstract: A bag includes an organ transporter compartment to contain an organ transporter disposed in the transporter compartment. The bag may include openings to access portions of the organ transporter, such as a battery or power cable, when the organ transporter is disposed in the bag. The bag may also include a frame and handles. The handles may include structure adapted to mate with handles on the organ transporter. The bag may also include a single cover that provides access to multiple compartments with their own internal covers. Also, the bag may include windows to view documents stored in the bag and/or to view and/or display control panels on the organ transporter.

Abstract: A disposable yard waste bag with integrated funnel is a biodegradable paper bag for yard waste with a tubular base, a funnel portion, a pair of handles, and an adhesive liner. The funnel portion is connected to the open end of the tubular base and is flared outward from the tubular base for easy loading of yard waste into the bag. The adhesive pull-and-stick liner at the top of the funnel portion allows the user to seal the funnel portion after filling the bag. The pair of handles is positioned on the tubular base for convenient carrying and handling purposes.

Abstract: Provided are pouches with rigid handles and/or internal supports and methods of making such pouches. In one aspect, a pouch with internal support includes a flexible pouch including a fitment coupled to a flexible pouch body and at least one inner support piece coupled to the fitment and extending into the inside of the pouch through the interior of the fitment. The fitment includes a fitment inner engagement feature and the at least one inner support piece includes an inner support engagement feature and at least one inner support extending from the inner support engagement feature. The fitment inner engagement feature and inner support engagement feature are interlocked to keep the at least one inner support piece from falling into or out of the flexible pouch body.

Abstract: A catch device for collecting ejected cartridges and other spent brass from an automatic fire machine gun or the like mounted on a platform includes: (a) a frame portion including an open mouthed, rigid bag frame, and a latch assembly on the bag frame; and (b) a catch bag portion including a collection bag with a hollow interior, a zipper, or a bottom flap with hook and loop strip, closing a bottom slot of the collection bag, at least one attachment mechanism at the top of the collection bag, and at least one flexible cross member extending across the collection bag interior, the catch bag portion being attachable to the frame portion by the attachment mechanism. This simplified abstract is not intended to limit, and should not be interpreted as limiting, the scope of the claims.

Abstract: Present invention provides for self attachment of a sustainable fabric t-shirt bag to a usually stationary support frame by means of tabs that are secured across the midsection of the continuous integral looped handles that are laterally spaced and extending upward from the base. A hole is thereby created for the threading onto the rode supports of the check out frames. The four sides that project upwards from the base of said bag, form a front and back wall along with two sides created by a gusset, creating an open mouth between the bases of the pair of handles by which articles can be received, retained and carried within. This invention can replace the stacks of plastic grocery bags that are presently found on many store check out frames today and end up as liter all over our planet as garbage.

A flexible handle is disposed external to the mesh material layer. The mesh material layer, the thermoplastic layer, and the flexible handle are joined by a set of stitching disposed therethrough.

Abstract: A multi-purpose, two-ply plastic bag is proposed that may be converted from a shopping bag to a garbage bag. The production process is also disclosed.

Abstract: A stand-up bag for pourable goods includes a front wall, a back wall coupled to the front wall at a first side edge and an opposite second side edge, and a base fold, wherein the front wall, the back wall, and the base fold are manufactured from a film, and wherein the base fold provides a standing base and is coupled to lower edges of the front wall and the back wall. The bag further includes a bag top situated opposite from the base fold, a closure device, wherein the closure device is attached proximate the bag top, and a carrying handle on the first side edge between the base fold and the bag top, the carrying handle positioned a distance from the base fold and the bag top.

Abstract: A foldable bag comprising a compartment for holding articles including first and second opposing body panels constructed of a foldable material and connected to each other along a pair of sides and a bottom bridging the pair of sides to define an open mouth formed opposite the bottom. The sides and the bottom of the compartment are foldable to collapse the compartment, and the compartment is maintained in the collapsed configuration in a variety of ways. In one embodiment, fastening straps can be provided proximate the mouth and extend outward beyond the sides to releasably engage fastening members on the first panel proximate the bottom. Alternatively, a reclosable flap member can be coupled to a panel and include a strap defining a retention loop, wherein the compartment is maintained in the collapsed configuration when the sides are disposed within the retention loop.

Abstract: A bottom gusset bag includes a gusset connecting a front and rear panel. The side regions of the front and rear panels are sealed to each other in a pair of side seams in a manner such that when the bag is unfilled it is flattened and when the bag is filled it is substantially a six-sided cubic shape with the bottom of the filled bag formed of the bottom gusset being substantially flat. The bottom gusset bag further includes a side handle that includes a strip of material exterior of the gusset with the ends of the handle joined to each pair of side seams. The handle extends along an exterior surface of the bag from a first side seam along an exterior surface of the rear or front panel to a second side seam.

Abstract: A storage pocket (9) having a front panel (19), a rear panel (20), an inner surface (10), an outer surface (11), an upper edge (12), a lower edge (13) and side edges (22). A pliable attachment ring (14) extends through two apertures (15) located along the lower edge of the storage pocket. An opening (21) located along the upper edge allows access to the inner surface of the storage pocket. A loop (16) located on the inner surface may be used in conjunction with the attachment ring to attach multiple storage pockets together while storing articles. The storage pocket may be integral to an article, such as a foldable shopping bag (1), poncho, article of clothing, etc, attached to an existing article, or used as a separate storage device.

Abstract: A flexible bag holds flexible top opening suitable for inserting typical yard waste debris. The bag is typically attached at hip level. A flexible ring within the top opening assists in one handed operation. In order to lessen injury to the user, the flexible ring within the bag deforms at a steep linear rate such that pressure to the user's hip area is greatly decelerated and spread over a deflected length flexible ring covered in bag fabric. The disclosed bag is typically used by gardeners for holding trimmings. The hip level attachment aids in the ergonomic proprieties of the invention.

Abstract: A bulk bag includes a shell and a gate valve assembly and is configured to retain a material. The gate valve assembly includes a gate which is slidable to selectively prevent and facilitate variation of rate of dispensation of material from the bulk bag and, more particularly, through an aperture defined by the shell of the bulk bag. The gate valve assembly has a configuration which, during movement of the gate to restrict dispensation of material through the aperture in the shell, renders the gate unlikely to snag with other portions of the bulk bag such as, for example, portions of the shell which define the aperture. Methods are also provided.

Abstract: A dry bag harness system for use with a roll top dry bag. The harness system allows for stitch free construction of a waterproof bag to provide use of compression straps around the perimeter of the bag. The webbing or strap is one continuous piece, and is free moving within the contained area. The containment system includes a patch that is sealed or welded to the bag to provide for a waterproof and airtight construction. The patch includes a passageway for the strap to allow the strap to slide within the patch while the strap is being tightened around the bag. The dry bag is constructed without any stitched areas and this arrangement allows the strap to apply even pressure to the bag when cinching the web type strap.

Abstract: A bag, such as a grocery bag, a gift bag, etc., is formed of bamboo, and other fabric preferably bio-degradable fabric or non-woven material. The bamboo bag is foldable or can be rolled. It includes a continuous panel of bamboo that extends from the top of one side, downwards and then back up to the top of the other side should then form a somewhat U-shape. The bottom of this “U” will form a somewhat semi-rigid bottom that will fold inwards which allows the bag to be rolled up. The space is enclosed by two side panels and the inside of the bag may be covered with a fabric or non-woven material.

Abstract: A closure system for a flexible bag. The flexible bag includes a plurality of panels defining an interior compartment of the bag, and a mouth portion for accessing the interior compartment of the bag. The closure system is implemented in two opposing panels of the plurality of panels. Specifically, each one of the two opposing panels further includes a first portion defining a handle and a second portion including an aperture. The first portion of each opposing panel is positioned at a top edge of the panel proximate to the mouth portion, and the second portion of each panel is positioned adjacent to and below the first portion. The handles of the two opposing panels are configured to be drawn together, inserted successively through each of the apertures, and then cinched in order to close the mouth portion of the bag.

Abstract: A container which includes a container shell defining an interior therein and having an opening for accessing the interior. A first grommet and a second grommet each are located on the container shell and each include a perimeter that defines an aperture through the grommet. The second grommet including a magnetic or a ferromagnetic material. A first magnet is within the first grommet. The first grommet and the second grommet are positioned on the container shell to assist in closing the opening by magnetic attraction between the first magnet and the magnetic or ferromagnetic material, when the opening is closed the grommets are held in a position wherein the apertures are in general alignment.

Abstract: A bag for enclosing a handheld electronic device (HED) comprises a flexible sheet material such as a flexible or stretchy fabric. The material is formed into a bag having a main body and a mouth. The mouth has a periphery smaller than the periphery of the main body. The mouth can elastically stretch to allow passage of the HED. First and second loops are attached to and project from the bag adjacent to the mouth to allow a user to support the bag with thumb and forefinger while inserting the HED. In one embodiment, an elastic structure comprises the periphery of the mouth. The unstretched length of such an elastic structure may be adjusted to compensate for the size of the HED.

Abstract: A bag having both a support system and a closure system is provided. The closure system of the bag provides structural support to the bag. In at least one embodiment, the bag includes at least one sheet of flexible material assembled to form a semi-enclosed container, an opening within the semi-enclosed container defined by a generally circular periphery of the semi-enclosed container at an unenclosed end of the at least one sheet of flexible material, and a flexible support rim disposed around the generally circular periphery of the semi-enclosed container at an unenclosed end. The support rim is sufficient to support the opening within the semi-enclosed container in an open position.

Reinforcing straps may be connected to opposing side panels and extend across the side panels from a top portion of the side panel to a bottom portion of the side panel for providing support to the housing. The bag is formed to be symmetric about central vertical planes, and a pair of flaps are provided to cover a pair of symmetrical outer pockets.
