Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a cosmetic box with a rotatable mirror which can be flipped to protect the surface when not in use.

(2) Description of the Prior Art

A conventional cosmetic box generally includes a cover which is opened by lifting one side of the cover and closed to directly mount onto the main part of the cosmetic box. The cover includes a mirror connected to an inside of the cover and the mirror cannot be adjusted its angle relative to the main part of the cosmetic box. If the user wants to adjust the angle of the mirror, the main part will be tilted and the cosmetic items may drop from the base part.

Some users prepare an individual mirror so as to avoid the situation mentioned above. Some cosmetic boxes include a mirror which is fixed on the outside of the cover but the mirror is easily got scratch and dirty.

The present invention intends to provide a cosmetic box which includes a rotatable mirror which is rotatably connected to a collar and the collar is rotatable relative to the cosmetic box, so that the mirror can be adjusted to desired angle as needed. The reflection surface can be faced downward when not in use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a cosmetic box that comprises a first part, a second part, a collar and a frame with a mirror connected thereto. The first part has a first pivotable portion which is pivotably connected to a second pivotable portion on the second part, and a first connection portion which is removably connected to a second connection portion on the second part. A positioning portion is connected to the second part and the collar is connected to the positioning portion. The frame is located between the second part and the collar. The frame is pivotably connected to the collar and sized to close the central hole of the collar.

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic box with a rotatable mirror which can be adjusted to desired angle and closes the first part in which the cosmetic items are received when not in use.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show the cosmetic box of the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view of the cosmetic box of the present invention while the second part is located on the first part, and

FIG. 3 is a perspective view to show that the second part is swung away from the first part and the mirror is rotatable to a desired angle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the cosmetic box of the present invention comprises a ring-shaped first part 1, ring-shaped second part 2, a ring-shaped collar 3 and a circular frame 4 which has a mirror 41 connected to a surface thereof.

The first part 1 has a first pivotable portion 11 and a first connection portion 12, wherein the first pivotable portion 11 and the first connection portion 12 are located diametrically in opposite on the first part 1.

The second part 2 has a second pivotable portion 21 and a second connection portion 22, wherein the first and second pivotable portions 11, 21 are pivotably connected to each other by a pin 5 and the first and second connection portions 12, 22 are removably connected to each other. A ring-shaped positioning portion 23 is connected to the second part 2. The position portion 23 includes two recesses 231 defined in an inner periphery thereof. The collar 3 is connected to the positioning portion 23 and has a central hole 31. A space 6 is defined between the first and second parts 1, 2 when the second part 2 is overlapped on the first part 1, cosmetic items (not shown) are received in the space 6.

The frame 4 is located between the second part 2 and the collar 3. The frame 4 includes two pivots 42 which are rotatably engaged with the recesses 231 in the positioning portion 23, so that the frame 4 can be pivoted within the collar 23. The frame 4 is sized to close the central hole 31 of the collar 3 when not in use.

The collar 3 has at least one stop 32 extending from an inner periphery thereof and the frame 4 includes two protrusions 43 which are stopped by the at least one stop 32 on the collar 3 when the frame 4 is rotated.

The cosmetic box is compact and the second part 2 can be swung away from the first part 1 about the pin 5 so that the cosmetic items in the space 6 can be easily accessed. The mirror 41 on the frame 4 can be pivoted to a desired angle when in use and because the second part 2 is pivotable relative to the first part 1 so that the mirror 41 can be adjusted to any desired angle. When not in use, the space 6 is closed by the frame 4 and the mirror 41 can be faced downward such that the mirror 41 does not get scratched.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
