UNDERWEAR FOR WOMEN, DESIGNED TO REVEAL THE CONTOUR OF ANATOMICAL PARTS EVEN WHEN THEY ARE COVERED BY A NON TRANSPARENT GARMENT

Women's underwear fashion and particularly one of panties and tights are combined with trousers. Women's underwear (for example, panties or tights), include on the external surface, contour borders of buttock line and/or thigh line, that are in strong relief with respect to the surface of the garment and are designed to determine in this garment, through structural interaction, markings highlighting the buttock line and/or thigh line.

Description

This application is claims benefit of Serial No. TO-2008-U-000132, filed 9 Oct. 2008 in Italy and which application is incorporated herein by reference. To the extent appropriate, a claim of priority is made to the above disclosed application.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention refers to the field of woman underwear fashion and particularly to the one of panties and tights particularly when combined to trousers.

It is evident, in light of the inquiries that we have carried out on the web through Google and Yahoo search engines in relation to the background technique—and, more specifically, in relation to models of panties or other underwear available in the field of woman underwear fashion and in the field of the related patents—that until now the market of woman garments does not put at the disposal of its commercial target what is the content of the present patent and limits itself to offer panties and tights or other underwear provided with hems that sometimes are completed by contour borders that, however, have an exclusively ornamental or sanitary character, but not the purpose of being sufficiently thick in relief in order to mark the superimposed adherent garment. Therefore, to this kind of underwear, belong also those loincloths, tanga, and so on, that have on the rear part—and, precisely, between the crotch and the belt—one or more than one central stripes of stuff or other very thick material, as can be a pendant, and that has uniquely embellishment purposes.

Said applications, as a matter of fact, owing to their central position, do not have neither the purpose, nor the material possibility to create, on the underwear, a contour border for the anatomical parts (for example, buttock and thigh) designed to mark the superimposed garment in such a way as to allow the perception of the contour of the above mentioned anatomical parts.

Also the existing garters, owing to their large and plane geometry, do not neither provide for nor have physically the possibility of marking the superimposed garment.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is therefore to cover these gaps.

The result is obtained by proposing woman underwear such as, for example, panties and tights, provided with thick external contour borders for anatomical parts such as buttocks and thighs. These external projecting up borders that are in relief have a function completely different from the one of the eventual finishing hem of the stuff of which the underwear are constituted and from the one of any other enrichment, and, for this purpose, they present a thickness and a consistency that permit to obtain the new functional effect of interacting with the superimposed garment by marking it, and making therefore evident the contour of the underwear for what concerns the above mentioned anatomical parts. If it is present, the hem of the underwear becomes a complement of the border in question.

These contour borders, that are in relief, can:

a) be vertically arranged (as it is natural for panties, loincloths, tanga) or horizontally arranged (as it is natural for culottes, shorts, tights);

b) be single or multiple, with the first (unique) border coincident to a contour line of the anatomical parts that are to be highlighted (for example buttocks and thighs);

c) be movable or fixed;

d) be parallel or not;

e) be continuous or intermittent and have a regular and irregular progress;

f) have any shape;

g) have a section of round, rectangular, triangular and so on shape;

h) have a full or hollow section, and, in this last case, have possible cores;

i) be bare or coated;

l) be reconstituted by many superimposed parts or parts obtained by a unique part;

m) be realized in any material available on the market provided that it is soft, elastic, compressible, washable;

n) have a thickness chosen from the group consisting of “mini” (3 mm), “small” (5mm), “medium” (8 mm) , “extra” (10 mm).

In order to efficiently underline the anatomical parts according to the above description, the thickness of the contour borders will be advantageously chosen in proportion to the thickness and the opacity of the superimposed garment. Therefore, in combination to a heavy and dark superimposed garment, the thickness of the contour borders must be such to ensure the desired interaction with the garment itself and the consequent marking of the above mentioned anatomical parts.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will be made evident with reference to the figures of the attached table, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a pair of trousers (99) which—as the new functional effect of the invention—present markings (108 and 110) given by the interaction of the thick contour borders (101, Figures from 2 to 5) of the panties (100) according to the invention and of the contour borders (97, Figures from 2 to 5) of the tights according to the invention (96). Furthermore, it can be noticed that in FIG. 1 the pocket (98) of the trousers (99) advantageously presents the structural and functional characteristics of being substantially central positioned with respect to the rear part of the trousers themselves, so that not to interfere with, or even only partially hide, the above mentioned markings (108) of the contour borders (101);

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the rear part of culottes and tights. It shows the contour borders (101) of the panties (100) according to the invention and the contour borders (97) of the tights (96) according to the invention. These borders (101 and 97) present a thickness designed to determine the desired markings on the garment (99) that covers them (as shown in FIG. 1), so that to highlight the buttock line (108) and the thigh line (110) respectively;

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the rear part of a loincloth and of a pair of tights. It shows the contour borders (101) of the panties (100) according to the invention and the contour borders (97) of the tights (96) according to the invention. These contour borders (101 and 97) present a thickness designed to determine the desired markings on the garment (99) that covers them (as shown in FIG. 1) so that to highlight the buttock line (108) and the thigh line (110) respectively;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the rear part of a panties and of a pair of tights. It shows the contour borders (101) of the panties (100) according to the invention, and the borders (97) of the tights (96) according to the invention. These contour borders (101 and 97) present a thickness designed to determine the desired markings on the garment (99) that covers them (as shown in FIG. 1) so that to highlight the buttock line (108) and the thigh line (110) respectively;

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the rear part of a tanga and of a pair of tights. It shows the lateral tie rods that work also as contour borders (101) of this panties and the contour borders (97) of the tights (96). These elements present a thickness designed to determine the desired markings on the garment (99) that covers them (as shown in FIG. 1) so that to highlight the buttock line (108) and the thigh line (110) respectively. As shown in the drawing, the structure of the tanga comprises also a central tie rod (109) that connects—passing under the crotch—the rear and the front part of the garment and is often provided with thick enrichments, but they have only an embellishment purpose and do not delineate the buttocks;

FIG. 6 is a cutaway view of the section line A-A of FIG. 4 of the external contour borders of the underwear for women and shows their structure characterized by a strong thickness designed to determine the desired markings on the superimposed garment (99). The structure of the contour borders (101 and 97), in its elementary composition, (shown in FIG. 6), is constituted by a base element preferably with a round section or with a bare border (103) eventually covered by a lining (102) and eventually fixed to the underwear itself with the aid of seams (106) and sizing (1061).

With reference to the description and to the above mentioned figures, the following nomenclature can be found:

96 tights/socks

97 thick contour border of the thighs on the tights (constituted as element 101)

98 central rear pocket of the trousers

99 trousers

100 panties (in many tanga the panties are only composed by tie rods and by the belt) or upper part of the tights

101 thick contour border of the buttocks on the panties or on the tights (it can be constituted by only one element 103 or by more than one element such as for example the elements 103-102-107)

102 sheathing or lining of the bare border 103

103 thick bare border (preferably with round section)

105 belt of the panties or tights

106 seams for the eventual fixing of the elements of the border 101 to the underwear

107 external finishing hem of the panties (it is nearly always a component of the border)

108 marking of the trousers (99) by means of the borders of the panties (101)

109 central tie rod of the tanga that (passing under the crotch) connects the front part with the rear part of the underwear. Said central tie rod can be constituted by a pendant

110 marking of the trousers (99) by means of the borders of the tights (97)

1061 sizing for the eventual fixing of the elements of the border (101) to the panties and to the tights

120 belt of the trousers (99)

130 border of the shirt or blouse

For the sake of clarity, it is to be remarked that the belt 105 in the panties and the rear vertical central tie rod 109 in the tanga are not to be confounded with the contour borders 101 and 97 in question.

It is also to be said that even if the use of underwear according to the invention has been described particularly in combination to a pair of trousers, the underwear of the invention can be equally combined to a skirt, a pair of shorts, and so on.
