  • Patent number: 10897941
Abstract: The undergarment with an integral sanitary liner is an article of loin wear. A patient wears the undergarment with an integral sanitary liner when the patient anticipates liquid discharge in the loin region. The undergarment with an integral sanitary liner is an absorbent structure that absorbs liquid discharges in the loin region. The undergarment with an integral sanitary liner comprises an anterior panel, a posterior panel, an inferior panel, an elastic webbing, a liner, and a plurality of seams. The plurality of seams interconnect the anterior panel, the posterior panel, the inferior panel, and the elastic webbing to form the article of loin wear. The inferior panel forms the absorbent structure of the undergarment with an integral sanitary liner of the article of loin wear. The liner is a sheeting that protects the patient from the liquids in the inferior panel.

  • Patent number: 10548356
Abstract: A swimming garment formed from a stretchable elasticated fabric that, in use, covers at least part of the wearer's thighs, hips and glutes. The garment includes at least two tension bands that have a higher modulus of elasticity than adjacent regions of the stretchable elasticated fabric so that, in use, the tension bands offer greater resistance to stretch than the adjacent regions. A first one of said tension bands follows a path that extends along the outside of a left thigh region of the garment to a left hip region of the garment and inwardly from the left hip region across a left upper glute region of the garment towards a mid-line of the garment. A second one of said tension bands follows a path that extends along the outside of a right thigh region of the garment to a right hip region of the garment and inwardly from the right hip region across a right upper glute region of the garment towards a mid-line of the garment.

  • Patent number: 9808649
Abstract: The problem of securing the position of an internally placed medical device that extends out of the body during targeted high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy is solved by a uniquely configured immobilization system that can be utilized to stabilize medical devices placed, for example, within the uterus or cervix. During the process of transporting a patient from the location where the HDR applicator is emplaced, for example, where the tandem and ring is placed within the cervix of a patient, to the location where the treatment is actually applied to the tissue, the medical device can move out of place and in so doing cause discomfort, pain, or an ineffective treatment for the patient. The embodiments of this immobilization system can include a strap apparatus, a straddling girdle, and bracket that can be attached to a patient. This immobilization system ensures the position of an internally placed medical device during targeted HDR brachytherapy.
