Latest Patents:
The field of invention relates to the Handbag/Purse Industry and more importantly a handbag with interchangeable/convertible parts. Although the above patents show removable parts and pieces they all contain a base bag to which these pieces belong to. The Interchangeable/Convertible Handbag System for which this application pertains to has bag bottoms that are used to build upon and can be changed while allowing all parts to be interchangeable. For example U.S. Pat. No. 6,029,723, Ser. No. 11/370,551 refer to a base bag with a slip cover part for the cover flap which is already attached to the bag base. The invention here has a separated base for each bag to further add pieces too. The base bag for U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,029,723, 7,028,730, Ser. No. 11/637,436, U.S. Pat. No. 6,237,660, have the option to change by placing a slip cover (also referred to as the inner and outer bag) from the bottom to cover the bag while changing the appearance.
In comparison, the application being filed, the flap closure attachment is completely removable and interchangeable as is the bag bottom interchangeable with other bag bottoms where one does not slip into the other as shown in other patents. As cited in the above patents the base bag pertains to a certain shape while this application does not refer to a specific shape or size because this can be changed as shown in
U.S. Pat. No. 4,263,951 refers to an interchangeable accessory system for handbags where parts are already attached for simplicity in organization as this application pertains to the bag, the closure and the accessories which fit within this scope and can be put together as need be.
Many inventions have been addressed before in regards to interchangeable/convertible bags and accessories. Where this current invention is an expansion upon such designs which will allow the consumer to build a bag that pertains to the functions of their choice and alter the amount of storage, change the colors, change the materials and add or remove accessories to meet their daily needs. Daily needs may pertain to style choice, size choice, coordinating to ones fashion choice for the day, storage choice, etc.
