Abstract

A package for an article is provided. The package comprises a housing and a board. The housing is used for receiving the article. The housing comprises a first portion, a second portion and a protrusion. The first portion and the second portion are assembled together to receive the article therein, and the protrusion is fastened to the first portion. The board is fastened with the protrusion. Thereby, the second portion is free from the board, the first portion and the second portion can be unlocked by a consumer to access the article, the housing detached from the board is reusable, and the board can be decorated.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a package, in particular to a package for an article for sale.

2. Descriptions of the Related Art

The package for articles for sale is very important in business, which has very important influence on the aspiration of a consumer to buy the articles. Therefore, most of the sellers place great importance on the designs of the packages for the articles for sale.

One conventional package 1 for the article for sale is illustrated in FIGS. 1A to 1D. The package 1 comprises a housing 11 and a board 13. The housing 11 comprises a first portion 111 and a second portion 112, and the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 are assembled to form a receiving space to receive the article therein for sale. The two sub boards 13a, 13b are folded to clamp the flange of the first portion 111 and the flange of the second portion 112 to permanently fasten the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 together. Each of the sub boards 13a, 13b further comprises a through hole 113 to expose the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 after the first portion 111 and the second portion 112 are clamped by the sub boards 13a, 13b. Then, the sub boards 13a, 13b are permanently fastened together. The housing 11 is transparent to show the article packaged therein. The board 13 is decorated with descriptions for the article and patterns to attract the consumer to buy the article therein. However, the consumer can not access the article by hand without damage to the board 13 or even the housing 11 before buying the article. After the consumer damage the package 1 for using the article bought, the whole damaged package will become trash. Moreover, the housing is not reusable for the user to preserve the article therein.

Another conventional package 2 for the article for sale which is reusable is illustrated in FIGS. 2A to 2D. The conventional package 2 comprises a cover 211 and a housing 212 assembled with each other to receiving the article for sale therein. The cover 211 can be detached from the housing 212, such that the article for sale is accessible to the consumer by hand without damaging the package 2 before buying the article. However, the package 2 does not have sufficient area for printing the descriptions and patterns for the article for sale. Even worse, the cover 211 of the conventional package 2 is opaque usually. It makes the package 2 harder to display the article for sale.

It is desired in the field to provide a package for the article for sale which overcomes the abovementioned problems of the conventional packages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of this invention is to provide a package that a consumer can access an article packaged therein by hand without damage to the package while the package can have sufficient area to be decorated.

Another objective of this invention is to provide a package that has a reusable housing for preserving an article while the package can have sufficient area to be decorated.

To the end, a package for an article is provided. The package comprises a housing and a board. The housing is used for receiving the article therein. The housing comprises a first portion, a second portion and a protrusion. The first portion and the second portion are assembled together to receive the article therein, and the protrusion is fastened to the first portion and the board. Thereby, the second portion is free from the board, the first portion and the second portion can be unlocked by a consumer to access the article by hand, the housing detached from the board is reusable, and the board can be decorated.

The detailed technology and preferred embodiments implemented for the subject invention are described in the following paragraphs accompanying the appended drawings for people skilled in this field to well appreciate the features of the claimed invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Please refer to FIGS. 3A to 3D, the package for an article of this invention is illustrated. The package 3 comprises a transparent housing 31 and a board 33. The housing 31 is used for receiving the article. The housing 31 comprises a first portion 311, a second portion 312 and at least a protrusion 313. Therein, the first portion 311 is a box having a space for receiving the article and the second portion 312 is a cover. In FIGS. 3A to 3D, the housing 31 comprises a plurality of the protrusions 313. The article for sale is adapted to be received within the housing 31 between the first portion 311 and the second portion 312, and the protrusion 313 is fastened to the first portion 311 and further to the board 33. That is the first portion 311 is fastened with the board 33 by use of the protrusion 313. The second portion 312 is free from the board 33 and is not permanently fastened with the board 33. Thereby, the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 can be unlocked by a consumer to access the article by hand without damage to the board 33, and the board 33 can be decorated with descriptions for the article and patterns to attract the customer to buy the article by use of the package 3 of this invention.

In the example illustrated in FIGS. 3A to 3D, the board 33 comprises two sub boards 33a, 33b, and the protrusions 313 are tabs to be clamped between the two folded sub boards 33a, 33b to fasten the first portion 311 to the board 33. Moreover, each of the sub boards 33a, 33b may has a through hole 33c for receiving the housing 31. In other examples, the protrusions 313 may be simply glued, stapled, riveted, welded or fastened by other means to the board 33.

Further, in this example, the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 are formed integrally and rotatable with respect to each other, and the housing 31 further comprises at least a lock 314 to temporarily lock the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 together. In this embodiment, the housing 31 comprises two the locks 314. Therein, in reference to FIGS. 3C and 4C, each of the locks 314 comprises a first snap-fitting portion 314a and a second snap-fitting portion 314b, and the first snap-fitting portion 314a and the second snap-fitting portion 314b are integrally formed on the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 respectively. The first snap-fitting portion 314a and the second snap-fitting portion 314b are for locking with each other to temporarily lock the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 together.

Moreover, as shown in FIGS. 4A to 4C, the board 33 may comprise at least one through hole 33d to expose the at least one lock 314 for the user to access the locks 314 and unlock the locks 314 easily. In this embodiment, the board 33 comprises two the through holes 33d to expose the two locks 314 respectively for the user to access the locks 314. In further detail, in reference to FIGS. 3A and 3B, each of the sub boards 33a, 33b comprises two sub holes 33e. The two sub holes 33e formed on the sub board 33a are assembled with the two sub holes 33e formed on the sub board 33b into the two through holes 33d when the sub boards 33a, 33b are assembled into the board 33. Thereby, the user may unlock the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 to access and observe the article by hand easily and then decide to buy the article or not.

In the package 3 of this invention, not only the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 can be unlocked by the consumer to access and observe the article for sale by hand, but also the board 33 has sufficient area to be decorated with descriptions for the article and patterns to attract the consumer to buy the article packaged by the package 3 of this invention. Further, when the consumer detaches the housing 31 from the board 33 by cutting the protrusions 313 or other means, the housing 31 changes to a reusable housing for preserve the article therein. Therefore, the housing 31 of the package 3 of this invention is also very friendly to the environment. For the ease of printing descriptions for the article and patterns to the board 33, the board 33 is a paper board preferably in this example. In addition, the article for sale packaged by the package 3 of this invention as shown in FIGS. 4B and 4C maybe a diving mask, a pair of swimming goggles, a pair of sun glasses, a pair of safety glasses, a pair of reading glasses or a ski mask.

Please refer to FIGS. 5A to 5D, the protrusions 313 of this invention may be fastened to the first portion 311 by various means. As shown in FIG. 5A, the housing 31 may contain a plurality of the protrusions 313 of small pieces of tabs and these protrusions 313 are formed integrally with the first portion 311 into one piece. As shown in FIG. 5B, the housing 31 may contain only one the protrusion 313 of larger flange formed integrally with the first portion 311 into one piece. As shown in FIG. 5C, the protrusions 313 may be glued or snap-fitted to the first portion 311. As shown in FIG. 5D, the protrusions 313 may be assembled to the first portion 311 and the second portion 312 with a loop 315 for enclosing the first portion 311 and the second portion 312.

The package 3 of this invention comprises a reusable housing 31, which can be unlock by the consumer to access the article for sale by hand, meanwhile, the board has sufficient area to be decorated. Thereby, the package 3 of this invention is very convenient and attractive to the consumer, and is also very friendly to environment. The package 3 of this invention overcomes the shortcoming of that the articles for sale in the conventional packages are not accessible to the consumer by hand or that the conventional packages do not have sufficient area for printing the descriptions and patterns for the articles for sale.

The above disclosure is related to the detailed technical contents and inventive features thereof. People skilled in this field may proceed with a variety of modifications and replacements based on the disclosures and suggestions of the invention as described without departing from the characteristics thereof. Nevertheless, although such modifications and replacements are not fully disclosed in the above descriptions, they have substantially been covered in the following claims as appended.

Claims

1. A package for an article, comprising:

a housing for receiving the article, in which the housing comprises a first portion, a second portion and a protrusion, the article is adapted to be received within the housing between the first portion and the second portion, and the protrusion is fastened to the first portion; and

a board fastened with the protrusion;

wherein the second portion is free from the board, and the first portion and the second portion can be unlocked for a consumer to access the article.

2. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing further comprises a lock to temporarily lock the first portion and the second portion together.

3. The package as claimed in claim 2, wherein the board comprises a through hole to expose the lock for the user to access the lock.

4. The package as claimed in claim 2, wherein the lock comprises a first snap-fitting portion and a second snap-fitting portion formed on the first portion and the second portion respectively, and the first snap-fitting portion and the second snap-fitting portion are for locking with each other to temporarily lock the first portion and the second portion together.

5. The package as claimed in claim 2, wherein the board comprises two sub boards to clamp the protrusion therebetween.

6. The package as claimed in claim 5, wherein each of the sub boards comprises a sub hole, and the sub holes are assembled with each other into a through hole to expose the lock for the user to access the lock.

7. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the board is decorated with descriptions for the article and patterns.

8. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the protrusion is a tab.

9. The package as claimed in claim 8, wherein the housing comprises a plurality of the tabs.

10. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the protrusion is integrally formed with the first portion into one piece, glued to the first portion, snap-fitted to the first portion or assembled to the first portion with a loop.

11. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the protrusion is glued, stapled, riveted or welded to the board.

12. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first portion and the second portion are formed integrally and rotatable with respect to each other.

13. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the article is a diving mask, a pair of swimming goggles, a pair of sun glasses, a pair of safety glasses, a pair of reading glasses, or a ski mask.

14. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the board is a paper board.

15. The package as claimed in claim 1, wherein the housing is transparent.
