At least one fill entry of said plurality is in an elastomeric portion of said package, and the at least one fill entry has a largest cross sectional area which is equal to or less than 25% of a largest cross sectional area of the compartment having the respective void space for which the fill entry forms the fluent entry. Each void space delimiting surface follows an outline of a separate 3D pill shape.

A method of making a multi-layer film structure and a packaging structure are also provided.

Disposed within the passageway is a plug which exhibits more resistance to thermal energy migration than other portions of the frame that define the adjacent receptacles.

A method of using a vacuum carrier module includes planarizing a gel film by passing an alignment material through a hole in a substrate to contact a first surface of the gel film, positioning at least one chip on a second surface of the gel film opposite the first surface. The method further includes encasing the at least one chip in a molding material and applying a vacuum to the first surface of the gel film.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a disposable cap for an eye imaging apparatus with an optical window and related methods. The disposable cap can comprise an optically transparent window cover, a ridge, a side wall and a locking element. The window cover can comprise a convex back surface to match a concave shape of the optical window. The ridge of the disposable cap can extend distally and radially outward from the window cover and the side wall can extend proximally and radially outwardly from the ridge. The locking element can comprise one or more radially inward projections and one or more radially outward releasing tabs. A disposable packaging shell of the disposable cap also disclosed. Disclosed herein is also a plug-in disposable system comprising the disposable cap and the disposable packaging shell, configured to enable the disposable cap to be attached to and detached from the eye imaging apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pellicle frame of a pellicle for use in photolithography, comprising: a coating of a layer containing a para-xylylene-based polymer. The invention can inhibit release of sulfate ions, ammonium ions and so on from the pellicle frame and thereby reduce the occurrence of haze under exposure environment.

Abstract: A nail polish display system includes a case, which may take the form of a shelving system or platform, sized to hold and display multiple bottles of nail polish. The bottles are attached to coupling devices, such as clamps, sleeves, magnetic couplers, etc. to an agitator, which preferably takes the form of a rotatable rod. A motor operates the agitator to move, rotate or otherwise agitate the bottles and therefore sufficiently and continuously mix the nail polish within the bottles. The system may include one or more sensors configured to detect the presence of a patron, configured to detect a position of the motor or agitator, and/or configured to detect when a door to the case is being opened. Further, the motor may be programmable and receive instructions from either a controller or control logic using input from one or more of the sensors.

Multiple packages can be stacked such that portions of adjacent steering wheel locks nest partially within one another and reduce otherwise wasted space between adjacent packages.

Abstract: Techniques for providing cost effective and tamper evident prepaid card packaging are described. By containing a relatively wide glued area by gluing two relatively tin side panels together, the resulting package is highly resistant to being slit open on an edge without the effort to open the package being highly evident. A foldover magnetic stripe panel provides additional thickness to a portion of the package typically read by a magnetic strip reader while allowing very thin side panels.

The mountable receptacle has a clamshell for receiving, for example, one or more blister cards. The clamshell has a first portion having a first edge and a second portion having a second edge, which opposes the first edge. The mountable receptacle has an extension connected at least to the second edge through a breakable mechanism. The extension is attached to a surface of the paperboard, such that the clamshell can be detached from the paperboard by breaking the breakable mechanism.

Abstract: A reclosable package well suited for holding pre-curved beam-type wiper blades in a package cavity formed in a base that releasably engages with a cover via a reclosable closure arrangement that includes an arrangement of bar snaps each formed of a bar with an elongated bulbous head received in a complementarily configured bar snap pocket during package closure. Each bar includes inclined endwalls that facilitate location and entry of the head into a narrower mouth of the pocket until the head is received in a head-anchoring chamber releasably clamping the bar head in place. The closure arrangement can include an interlocking rib-and-channel arrangement having a rib segment extending along a hinge joining the cover to the base and rib sections extending along end flanges and part of an outer flange that stiffen and strengthen the package while guiding bar snaps into snap-fit engagement during package closure.

Abstract: A clamshell packaging system having a first side portion, a second side portion, and a base portion is provided with a three-dimensional hinge structure and a standing feature. The first side portion is attached to the base portion via a first hinge joint and the second side portion is attached to the base portion via a second hinge joint wherein the second side portion is closeable upon the first side portion to provide an enclosed clamshell. The base portion further includes a third hinge joint and a fourth hinge joint each of which extends between the first hinge joint and the second hinge joint in a direction that is generally transverse to at least a portion of each of the first hinge joint and the second hinge joint. The base portion additionally has at least one flat portion disposed between the third hinge joint and the fourth hinge joint upon which the clamshell packaging system is standable.

Abstract: An implant storage and insertion system for a shape memory orthopedic implant allows the implant to be constrained in a deformed state, protected, insulated, held for insertion, and properly positioned in bone. The implant storage and insertion system includes a restraining block having an impact surface. The restraining block engages an implant at a first end, and further a medical instrument engages the restraining block and positions the restraining block at a bone such that the impact surface may be impacted to insert a second end of the implant into the bone.

Abstract: A packaging assembly for enclosing a wiper assembly includes a base having a bottom, a first side, a second side opposing said first side, and an accommodation space to receive the wiper assembly between the first side and the second side. The packaging assembly also includes a cover connected pivotally to the second side of the base, the cover having a top, opposing first and second sides, and an accommodation space to receive the wiper assembly between the opposing first and second sides. The base having a recess in the second side near a center thereof to receive a portion of the wiper assembly to center the wiper assembly in the packaging assembly white providing optimal curvature for the wiper assembly.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a package which allows a product to be displayed and retains structural integrity so that it can stand independently on a shelf or reside in a low sidewall display tray. In one embodiment, the package of the present invention can stand alone independently on an integrated cardboard base. In another embodiment, the package of the present invention can use the integrated cardboard base in conjunction with a low profile display tray.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing multiple transaction cards in a single package are described. According to one aspect, a carrier package arrangement includes a holder and a plurality of transaction cards. The transaction cards are retained on the holder, and are arranged to be transitioned form an unactivated state to an activated state using a first activation code. The carrier package arrangement can also include a case that can contain the holder and the plurality of transaction cards.

Abstract: A package for enclosing a product includes front and back cards and a cut resistant band or cap anchored between the cards. The cut resistant band or cap prevents lifting the product away from the cards or sliding the product out of the package.

Abstract: A method of packaging a product includes heating a film of plastic material to a forming temperature until it is thermoformable. At least one of the heated film and at least one product to be packaged are moved in relation to each other until the at least one product deforms the heated film and forms at least one pocket in the heated film that at least partially encapsulates the at least one product. The deformed film with the at least one product at least partially encapsulated in the at least one pocket is then cured.

A shaving aid retention guard is positioned between the pair of primary guards. Abstract: An electronic device packaging system that allows customer access, through a side accessible opening, to a connector of an enclosed electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device packaging system includes a front member and a back member that cooperate to form a device-accommodating compartment to enclose the electronic device. The device-accommodating compartment has at least one side configured with the side accessible opening through which the electronic connector is graspable by the customer through the accessible opening disposed on the side of the front member. The side placement of the “try it” feature allows full utilization of the front and back of the package for advertising graphics or information, or product display, thus resulting in a compact, efficient package, with advantages for both retailers and customers.

Abstract: A packaging structure for restraining an object comprises a panel and a film. The panel comprises a platform portion, an end flap portion, and a hinge portion. The end flap portion is foldably connected to the platform portion along an end flap fold line. The hinge portion comprises top and bottom hinge sections foldably connected to each other along a first hinge fold line between the top and bottom hinge sections. The film extends across the end flap fold line and is attached to the end flap portion and is also attached to the panel outside of the end flap portion. The packaging structure is foldable to an engaged position in which the object may be restrained between the film and the platform portion of the panel.

The carrier may also take on a variety of forms, including forms having a main surface and a device for elevating the transaction card off the main surface to create a visual effect that the transaction card is floating within the encasement. The packaging may further include a panel that at least partially obscures the transaction card from view.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a bubble package which allows a product to be displayed independently standing alone or hanging from a bracket/shelf, and also provides the ability to separate the paper and plastic portions of the package into at least two separate environmentally recycled portions. The paper based portion of the package operates as a display card and/or as a stiffener. The sides of the one or more display cards are bonded to one another to enclose the product within the plastic and prevent tampering with the product. The plastic portion, in addition to containing and displaying the product therein, optionally incorporates a base near the bottom of the package. The base protrudes from the bottom of the package and secures back onto the plastic portion via a securing mechanism. This arrangement allows the package to stand independent. Optionally, a corrugated plastic insert can be used to provide additional support to the unit.
