Baby Bottle Pillow Holders

Abstract

A pillow is used and attached with durable elastic bands supporting a baby bottle. As an infant or disabled child lay and nurse, the baby bottle pillow supports the contents and the bottle. Many times the contents of the bottle will dislodge the bottle, hence the straps that balance the bottle on the pillow. Babies are not capable of keeping stable when feeding, especially if they are disabled, consequently, the design has been careful to compensate for nursing situations.

This patent application claims priority to application U.S. patent application Ser. No. 12/776,403 filed on May 9, 2010.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to supports and, more particularly, to supports for a bottle.

2. Description of the Related Art

There are many different types of supports for a bottle, such as a nursing bottle. Several examples of supports are disclosed in U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,354,568 and 4,895,327. However, these types of supports can be unsafe because they apply weight to the infant's chest to achieve stability for holding the baby bottle in place. These types of supports lack safety and comfort for the child. The importance of having safety and manipulation of the bottle is of great concern. The support should not be place on a child's torso or anywhere upon a child when feeding. Hence, it is desirable to provide a support that is safer for the child to use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present disclosure is generally directed to a support for supporting a bottle, and a method of manufacturing and using the support. The invention will be best understood from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a support for feeding a nursing baby and disabled child directed to a Baby Bottle Pillow Holder. The support includes a small pillow and the body of the pillow has a single or double elastic band strap for wrapping around a baby bottle so that the bottle is support substantially on the side of the baby. While the baby is lying down the pillow is placed beside the baby and the formula/nursing bottle held in place by strong durable elastic bands. This gives a caregiver free time to move about during feeding time. The body contains the pillow that moveable for comfort during feedings, but versatile to end feedings once the child has finished. The invention allows safety and versatility during nursing feedings. The pillows can be made of soft fleece cotton designs with figures that attract the developmental attention of a child.

This invention is useful because it allows for the safer feeding of nursing infants and disabled children. An infant and disabled child nursing is vital and critical to provide nutrition for their developmental growth, health, and wellness. Thus, a need continues to exist for adequate baby bottle holders. Disabled children and young infants usually lack coordination and ability to support a baby bottle during extended periods. However, the baby bottle must be held in position by a caregiver remaining in place at all times. The present invention will allow freedom of movement by caregivers while the child feeds with Baby Bottle Pillow Holder.

With reference now to the figures, wherein like reference characters indicate corresponding elements throughout the several views, a baby bottle 10 is held by elastic bands 14 and/or 16 to a pillow body 18. Pillow body 18 corresponds to a baby bottle pillow holder. Durable elastic bands 14 and 16 are for holding glass or plastic baby bottle 10 in place. The pillow body 18 is the pillow and arranges from size small, medium, and large.

In FIG. 1, the small and medium pillow includes a single durable elastic band 14 sewn into the pillow body 18 . Each elastic band is centered in the body sewn ½-inch seam allowance secure to the pillow body 18. The pillow body 18 has four-side square shaped and sewn ½-inch seam allowance 12 and 20. The baby bottle 10 is secure between the elastic bands 14 holding in place the bottle 10 for feeding.

In use, the pillow is place beside the child the pillow body 18. Then the bottle 10 is filled with contents to be fed to the infant. The bottle 10 is then placed on the pillow body 18 insert between the strong durable elastic bands attached to the pillow.

FIG. 2 shows the double elastic bands 14 and 16 holding baby bottle 10 in place.

FIG. 4 shows horizontal view single durable elastic band 14 holding baby bottle 10 on top of pillow body 18 attached.

FIG. 5 shows vertical criss-crossed durable elastic bands 14 and 16 holding baby bottle 10 in place on pillow body 18. Bands 14 and 16 are attached to pillow body 18 by sewing a 1/2 inch seam allowance 12 and 20. The pillow body 18 can be made of soft fleece colorful designs and animal prints to correspond to a child's personality. The pillows are rectangular shaped small, medium, and large.

Wherein to further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, form, shape, function and manner of operation assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention. Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling with in the scope of the invention.

While particular embodiments of the invention have been shown and described, numerous variations and alternate embodiments will occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, it is intended that the invention be limited only in terms of the appended claims.

Claims

1. A baby bottle pillow holder for supporting a bottle on a support, comprising: a elastic band strap across a pillow sewn single or double elastic banned providing safety and security for feeding mechanism to an infant and disabled children; and a single or doubled elastic band strap and secured on each end to the pillow and adapted to keep stationary a baby bottle in placement for feeding; wherein the bottle securing means including an elastic band and compressible pillow; wherein the baby bottle holder of claim 1 The bottle securing means further comprises gripping means securing baby bottle.

2. A baby bottle pillow holder claim 1 where in the body portion is flexible to bend upon application of force and adapted to hold a position.

3. A method as set forth in claim 1 wherein in the stuffing material means includes a pillow.
