Sports-themed toilet and plunger set
The sports-themed toilet and plunger set includes a toilet that is inscribed with a favored team's logo and is painted in that team's basic colors. The set also includes a plunger that is inscribed with a rival team's logo and is painted in the rival team's basic colors.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention generally relates to sports-themed paraphernalia, and particularly to a sports-themed toilet and plunger set representative of rival sports teams.
2. Description of the Related Art
Vast amounts of money are spent by loyal and rabid sports fans to acquire themed merchandise pertinent to a favorite team. Jerseys, jackets, hats, beverage vessels, china, bed linen, automotive accessories (the list is endless) are included in merchandise that generates billions of dollars for the sport's industry. No area of fan existence is sacrosanct from some form of team-themed representation. The sports industry constantly seeks to discover new and unique merchandise to market. Thus, a sports-themed toilet and plunger set solving the aforementioned problems is desired.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe sports-themed toilet and plunger set includes a toilet that is inscribed with a favored team's logo and is painted in that team's basic colors. The set also includes a plunger that is inscribed with a rival team's logo and is painted in the rival team's basic colors.
Accordingly, the invention presents sports related paraphernalia that allows a fan to figuratively put a hated rival in the toilet. Although described herein as applied to a conventional toilet, it should be noted that the concept may be applied to urinals and like toilet appliances. The invention provides for improved elements thereof in an arrangement for the purposes described that are inexpensive, dependable and fully effective in accomplishing their intended purposes.

The front face of the water tank 14 is inscribed with a favored team's logo 16. For example, as illustrated, the logo 16 is that of Ohio State University. In this instance, the water tank 14 and the lid 14a might be colored scarlet, while the bowl 12 and the seat 12a might be gray (Ohio State's basic colors) or vice versa. The plunger shaft 22 and/or suction cup 24 are inscribed with a rival team's logo 26. As illustrated, the logo is that of the University Of Michigan, and the shaft 22 might be painted blue and the suction cup gold or vice versa.
The permutations and combinations for applying the sports theme disclosed above extend to all sports where traditional rivalries exist. Yankees vs. Red Sox; Cowboys vs. Redskins; Lakers vs. Celtics; Gators vs. Seminoles; Tar Heels vs. Blue Devils (again, the list is endless) are some of the many rivalries that generate fans who voraciously purchase team-themed merchandise.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the scope of the following claims.
Claims
1. A sports-themed toilet and plunger set, comprising:
- a toilet having a bowl and a tank positioned on the bowl;
- a toilet plunger having a shaft, the shaft having a lower end;
- a suction cup positioned on the lower end of the shaft;
- a first sports team logo inscribed on the tank; and
- a second sports team logo inscribed on the plunger.
2. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 1, wherein said bowl and said tank are different in color, the colors corresponding to the first sports team's official colors.
3. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 1, wherein said plunger shaft and said suction cup are different in color, the colors corresponding to the second sports team's official colors.
4. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 1, wherein said second team's logo is inscribed on said plunger shaft.
5. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 1, wherein said second team's logo is inscribed on said suction cup.
6. A sports-themed toilet and plunger set, comprising:
- a toilet having a bowl and a tank positioned on the bowl, the bowl and the tank being different in color;
- a toilet plunger having a shaft, the shaft having a lower end;
- a suction cup positioned on the lower end of the shaft, the plunger shaft and the suction cup being different in color;
- a first sports team logo inscribed on the tank; and
- a second sports team logo inscribed on the plunger.
7. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 6, wherein the colors of said bowl and said tank are colors corresponding to the first sports team's official colors.
8. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 6, wherein the colors of said plunger shaft and said suction cup are colors corresponding to the second sports team's official colors.
9. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 6, wherein said second team's logo is inscribed on said plunger shaft.
10. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 6, wherein said second team's logo is inscribed on said suction cup.
11. The sports-themed bathroom ensemble according to claim 6, wherein said second team's logo is inscribed on said shaft and said suction cup.
