SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR APPAREL STRAPS

Systems, methods and apparatus are provided through which in some implementations an apparatus includes a translucent strap, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and an outer garment, wherein the translucent strap is attached to the outer garment. In other implementations an apparatus includes a translucent strap having a first end and a second end, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and an outer garment, wherein the first end of the translucent strap is permanently attached to the outer garment. In other implementations an apparatus includes a translucent strap, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and a bottom undergarment, wherein the translucent strap is attached to the bottom undergarment. In other implementations an apparatus includes a translucent strap, and a decorative apparatus removably attached to the translucent strap.

FIELD

This disclosure relates generally to apparel, and more particularly to apparel straps.

BACKGROUND

Bra straps and other straps on apparel are very old. The straps are typically made of a fabric with some elastic component.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The above-mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein, which will be understood by reading and studying the following specification.

In one aspect, an apparatus includes a translucent strap, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and an outer garment, wherein the translucent strap is attached to the outer garment.

In another aspect, an apparatus includes a translucent strap having a first end and a second end, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and a brassiere, wherein the first end of the translucent strap is permanently attached to the brassiere.

In yet another aspect, an apparatus includes a translucent strap, a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap, and a bottom undergarment, wherein the translucent strap is attached to the bottom undergarment.

In still another aspect, an apparatus includes a translucent strap, and a decorative apparatus removably attached to the translucent strap.

Apparatus, systems, and methods of varying scope are described herein. In addition to the aspects and advantages described in this summary, further aspects and advantages will become apparent by reference to the drawings and by reading the detailed description that follows.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In the following detailed description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which is shown by way of illustration specific implementations which may be practiced. These implementations are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the implementations, and it is to be understood that other implementations may be utilized and that logical, mechanical, electrical and other changes may be made without departing from the scope of the implementations. The following detailed description is, therefore, not to be taken in a limiting sense.

The detailed description is divided into three sections. In the first section, a system level overview is described. In the second section, apparatus of implementations are described. In the third section, a conclusion of the detailed description is provided.

System Level Overview

FIG. 1 is a diagram of an overview of a garment having an apparatus 100 that includes a translucent strap and a decorative apparatus attached to the strap, according to an implementation. In some implementations, apparatus 100 is a decorative accessory for a garment 102 that is removable and easily reconfigurable. Apparatus 100 includes a translucent strap 104 and a decorative apparatus 106 that is attached to the translucent strap 104. The dashed lines on the translucent strap 104 show the outer boundaries of the translucent strap. In various embodiments, the translucent strap 104 can be a semi transparent strap, a transparent strap, a clear strap, an invisible strap, a lucent strap, a substantially translucent strap, a substantially transparent strap, a nonwoven translucent strap, a matte translucent strap, a flexible transparent strap, inelastic or stretchable translucent strap, a non-elastic transparent strap, a translucent polyurethane strap, and/or a 100% polyurethane strap. In various embodiments, the garment 102 can be a bodysuit, a slip, lingerie such as a camisole or a night gown, a swimsuit, a bikini top, a halter top, a tank top, a tube top, a brief, panty, a thong, a theatrical costume, a costume, a formal wear garment, a babydoll, dress, wedding gown or a sportswear.

The transparent or semi-transparent straps provide less visual distraction the attention of a viewer from the apparel to which the straps are attached, thus improving the visual significance of the apparel to which the straps are attached.

The decorative apparatus can be natural or synthetic material; made of leather; flowers; metal; precious stones, synthetic stones; crystals; stickers; paper items; wood items; polymers; fabric; fabric ribbon; seeds; glitter; ink; paint; sequins; buttons; lights; feathers and/or fur. In addition, the decorative apparatus can be of various shapes, sizes and colors.

The system level overview of the operation of an implementation is described in this section of the detailed description.

While the system 100 is not limited to any particular garment 102, for sake of clarity a simplified translucent strap 104 and decorative apparatus 106 are described.

Apparatus Implementations

In the previous section, a system level overview of the operation of an implementation was described. In this section, the particular apparatus of such an implementation are described by reference to a series of diagrams.

FIG. 2 is a diagram of an apparatus 200 having a translucent strap that is permanently attached to a garment, according to an implementation. In apparatus 200 translucent strap 104 is sewn to garment 102.

FIG. 3 is a diagram of an apparatus 300 having biased materials being stitched over the ends of the translucent strap, according to an implementation. In the example shown by apparatus 300 the biased material is a seam binding 302.

FIGS. 4 is a diagram of an apparatus 400 having biased materials being stitched over the ends of the translucent strap in the example shown by apparatus 400 the biased material is a seam binding 302.

FIG. 5 is a diagram of a brassiere apparatus 500 having a translucent strap that is permanently attached to the brassiere, according to an implementation. In the example shown by brassiere apparatus 500 the translucent strap 502 is permanently attached to a brassiere 504 at a cup 506 of the brassiere 504 and the translucent strap 502 is permanently and adjustably attached to a strap 508 of the brassiere 502 by either buttons or snaps. The brassiere 504 is also known as a bra.

FIG. 6 is a diagram of the removable attachment 600 of the translucent strap, according to an implementation. The removable attachment 600 can be placed at either a first end of the translucent strap or a second end of the translucent strap. In the example shown in FIG. 6 the removable attachment includes a hook 602.

FIG. 7 is a diagram of a garment having a translucent strap that is both permanently attached and removably attached to the garment, according to an implementation. In the example shown by government 700 the translucent strap 702 is permanently attached to the garment 704 and the translucent strap 702 is removably and adjustably attached to the garment 704 by a clamp mechanism.

FIG. 8 is a diagram of a removable attachment of the translucent strap, according to an implementation. The removable attachment 800 can be placed at either a first end of the translucent strap or a second and other translucent strap. In the example shown in FIG. 8 the removable attachment includes a clamp 802.

FIG. 9 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus attached directly to the translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 9 the decorative apparatus 902 is attached to a translucent strap 904 without any other apparatus between the decorative apparatus 902 and the translucent strap 904. In the example shown in FIG. 9, the decorative apparatus 902 has a butterfly shape or motif and the decorative apparatus 902 is sewn on to the translucent strap 904.

FIG. 10 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap via a clip, according to an implementation. In FIG. 10 the decorative apparatus 1002 is attached to a translucent strap 1004 through a clip 1006. The decorative apparatus 1002 is attached directly to the clip 1004 and the clip 1006 is attached directly to the translucent strap 1004.

FIG. 11 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap via a clip, according to an implementation. In FIG. 11 the decorative apparatus 1002 is attached to a translucent strap 1004 through a clip 1006. The decorative apparatus 1002 is attached directly to the clip 1004 and the clip 1006 is attached directly to the translucent strap 1004.

FIG. 12 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap via a clip, according to an implementation. In FIG. 12 the decorative apparatus 1002 is attached to a translucent strap 1004 through a clip 1006. The decorative apparatus 1002 is attached directly to the clip 1004 and the clip 1006 is attached directly to the translucent strap 1004.

FIG. 13 is a diagram of a clip to attach a decorative apparatus to a translucent strap, according to an implementation.

FIG. 14 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a hole in the translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 14 the decorative apparatus 1402 is attached through a hole 1404 in the translucent strap 1406. The decorative apparatus 1402 includes a securing member 1408 that is wider than the diameter of the hole 1404 and the securing member 1408 is attached to the decorative apparatus 1402 through a shaft 1410 that is not wider than the diameter of the hole 1404.

FIG. 15 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a hole in the translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 15 the decorative apparatus 1402 is attached through a hole (not shown in FIG. 15) in the translucent strap 1406. The decorative apparatus 1402 includes a securing member 1408 that is wider than the diameter of the hole (not shown in FIG. 15) and the securing member 1408 is attached to the decorative apparatus 1402 through a shaft 1410 that is not wider than the diameter of the hole (not shown in FIG. 15).

FIG. 16 is a diagram of a bead that can be used to attach a decorative apparatus to a translucent strap or also can be the decorative apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 16, the bead 1602 includes a hole 1604.

FIG. 17 is a diagram of a bead that can be used to a decorative apparatus mounted on a translucent strap or also can be the decorative apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 17, a translucent strap 1702 is strong through the hole of the bead 1602.

FIG. 18 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus that can be attached to a translucent strap through a slot in the decorative apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 18 the decorative apparatus 1800 includes a slot 1802 through which a translucent strap (not shown in FIG. 18) can be inserted.

FIG. 19 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a slot in the decorative apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 19 decorative apparatus 1800 is attached to a translucent strap 1902 through a slot (not shown in FIG. 19) in the decorative apparatus 1800.

FIG. 20 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus and a buckle, according to an implementation. In FIG. 20, a decorative apparatus 2002 is operable to be attached to a buckle 2004. The buckle 2004 has two holes 2006 and 2008 and the middle divider 2010.

FIG. 21 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a buckle, according to an implementation. In FIG. 21, the decorative apparatus is attached to the buckle 2004.

FIG. 22 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus having a buckle attached to a translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 22, the decorative apparatus 2002 is strung through the two holes 2006 and 2008 of the buckle 2004.

FIG. 23 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap in a recess in the translucent strap through a hook and loop apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 23 the decorative apparatus 2302 is attached through a hook or a loop 2304 in the translucent strap 2306. The decorative apparatus 2302 includes a hook or a loop 2308. One example of a hook and loop apparatus is Velcro®. 2304 or 2308 can be either the hook or the loop, but only one of 2304 and 2308 can be the hook and only one of 2304 or 2308 can be the loop.

FIG. 24 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus attached to the translucent strap via a tied apparatus, according to an implementation. In FIG. 24 the decorative apparatus 1002 is attached to a translucent strap 1004 through a tied apparatus 1006. The decorative apparatus 1002 is attached directly to the tied apparatus 1004 and the tied apparatus 1006 is attached directly to the translucent strap 1004.

FIG. 25 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a snap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 25 the decorative apparatus 2502 is attached through a hole 2504 in the translucent strap 2506. The decorative apparatus 2502 includes a base 2508 of a snap that is wider than the diameter of the hole 2504 and the securing member 2508 is attached to the decorative apparatus 2502 through a snap 2510 that fits snugly into the hole 2504.

FIG. 26 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a snap in the translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 26 the decorative apparatus 2502 is attached through a hole (not shown in FIG. 26) in the translucent strap 2506. The decorative apparatus 2502 includes a securing member 2508 that is wider than the diameter of the hole (not shown in FIG. 26) and the securing member 2508 is attached to the decorative apparatus 2502 through a snap that fits snugly into the hole (not shown in FIG. 26).

FIG. 27 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus attached to a translucent strap through a snap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 26 the decorative apparatus 2502 is attached through a snap 2510 having a base 2702 on the translucent strap 2506. The decorative apparatus 2502 includes a securing member 2508 that is wider than the diameter of the hole (not shown in FIG. 27) and the securing member 2508 is attached to the decorative apparatus 2502 through a snap 2510.

FIG. 28 is a diagram of a splayed attachment device for a decorative apparatus, according to an implementation. FIG. 28 shows a splayed attachment device 2800 having a base 2802 and two splayed attachment portions 2804 and 2806.

In FIG. 32, a decorative apparatus 3202 is attached to a spiked attachment apparatus 3204. The spiked attachment apparatus 3204 has spikes 3206 that can pierce a translucent strap 3208.

FIG. 33 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus having a spiked attachment apparatus attached to a translucent strap, according to an implementation. In FIG. 32, the spikes 3206 of the spiked attachment apparatus (not shown in FIG. 33) of the decorative apparatus 3202 pierces through the translucent strap 3208.

FIG. 34 is a diagram of a translucent strap having a decorative apparatus that can be attached to the translucent strap via a staple, according to an implementation. In FIG. 34 the decorative apparatus 3402 is operable to attach to a translucent strap 3404 through a staple 3406. The decorative apparatus 3402 can be mounted directly to the translucent strap 3404 and the staple 3406 is attached directly to the decorative apparatus 3403 and the translucent strap 3404 though a hole 3408.

FIG. 35 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus having complementary fingers, according to an implementation. In FIG. 35 the decorative apparatus 3502 includes fingers 3504 that are complementary to another decorative apparatus such as shown in FIG. 36, that provide a structure that can be merged to form a semi-rigid structure.

FIG. 36 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus having complementary fingers between which a translucent strap is jammed. The decorative apparatus 3502 and 3602 includes fingers 3504 that are complementary to each other that a structure that can fit together tightly to form a semi-rigid structure that can be mounted on a translucent strap 3604, thus attaching the decorative apparatus 3502 to the translucent strap 3604.

FIG. 37 is a diagram of a decorative apparatus having two portions that are attached via a spring, according to an implementation.
