Description
BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a press quenching machine for steel plates, and more particularly to a press quenching machine for heat-treating the high-strength wear-resistant steel sheets and templates.

2. Description of Related Arts

The structural parts and the plate parts used in the construction machinery, such as heavy trucks, engineering cranes and mining vehicles, and in the passenger and freight vehicles of the high-speed railway need sufficient strength and wear-resistance. Especially, various plate parts with different thicknesses not only need sufficient strength, but also need better plate flatness after enhanced heat treatment, and the best is no distortion.

Generally, various high-strength wear-resistant steel sheets applied in the above mentioned equipments and vehicles are made of low carbon steel containing manganese and boron. To improve the strength, the quenching and tempering treatment is applied to them. The steel plate has a larger deformation after the heat treatment, so it can be reluctantly used by multiple leveling treatments, even some steel plates can not be used owing to the larger deformation, resulting in waste and increasing cost. The high-strength wear-resistant steel plate required in the engineering equipment or vehicle has a large area, high flatness and uniform hardness, the cutting surface of the enhanced treatment steel plate after flame cutting or laser cutting is not warped for implementing the follow-up processes, such as automatic welding.

The currently used press quenching machines adopt the free-state quenching or easy clamping device quenching, thereby the treated plate has a large deformation and difficult reforming, or the treated plate is waste owing to reforming cracking. Furthermore, the existing press quenching machines have a longer transfer time of the steel plate, the flatness of the steel plate is easily affected during the process, and the quenching of the steel plate has blind areas and soft spots.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a press quenching machine for steel plates, which is adapted for heat-treating the high-strength wear-resistant steel sheets and templates.

Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a press quenching machine for steel plates comprising:

a press bed structure;

a hydraulic cylinder;

a drive roller for advancing and stopping the steel plates;

a fixed upper pressure head part;

a bottom pressure head part movable up and down within the press bed structure by the hydraulic cylinder;

a plurality of upper pressed ribs provided on the upper pressure head part; and

a plurality of bottom pressed ribs provided on the bottom pressure head part,

wherein the upper pressed ribs are crosswise arranged with the bottom pressed ribs, the upper pressed ribs and the bottom pressed ribs have a density distribution according to a position of a special-shape plate for ensuring a flatness of the steel plates after quenching.

Based on the technical solution provided by the present invention, the press quenching machine for steel plates comprises the drive roller, so the transfer time and heat dissipation of the steel plates can be reduced. The crossing pressing and multi-point water spraying hardening ensure the flatness of the steel plates. Furthermore, the multi-point water spraying hardening has no blind areas or soft spots. The quenched workpiece is send to the next process by the drive roller. Therefore, the present invention has a high yield and production efficiency.

These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The drawing is a perspective view of a press quenching machine for steel plates according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to the drawing, a press quenching machine for steel plates according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, wherein the press quenching machine for steel plates comprises a drive roller 4 for advancing and stopping the steel plates 11. The drive roller 4 adopts the chain drive or the hydraulic transmission.

The press quenching machine for steel plates comprises an upper pressure head part 2 and a bottom pressure head part 5. The upper pressure head part 2 is fixed. The bottom pressure head part 5 can move quickly up and down within a press bed structure 1 by a hydraulic cylinder 7. While working, the steel plate 11 is clamped between the upper pressure head part 2 and the bottom pressure head part 5. The pressure and the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder 7 can be adjusted and are adapted for steel plates 11 with various thicknesses or made of different materials.

A plurality of upper pressed ribs 9 are provided on the upper pressure head part 2. A plurality of bottom pressed ribs are provided on the bottom pressure head part 5. The upper pressed ribs are crosswise arranged with the bottom pressed ribs, and the upper pressed ribs and the bottom pressed ribs have a density distribution according to the position of the special-shape plate for ensuring the flatness of the steel plate after quenching.

The upper pressed ribs and the bottom pressed ribs provided on the upper pressure head part 2 and the bottom pressure head part 5 respectively can be replaced and are adapted for the heat treatments of the flat plates, the templates and the stiffened plates.

An upper sprinkler system 3 is provided on the upper pressure head part 2, a bottom sprinkler system 6 is provided on the bottom pressure head part 5. Therefore, multi-point water spray hardening can be carried out.

Each of the upper sprinkler system 3 and the bottom sprinkler system 6 comprises an automatic valve 12 for facilitating adjusting water and sprinkling time, a fluid tank 8 and a return water pipeline 10.

The working principle of the press quenching machine for steel plates provided by the present invention is explained as below. While working, the drive roller 4 sends the steel plate 11 into the press quenching machine, once the workpiece is in place, the upper pressure head part 2 and the bottom pressure head part 5 tightly clamp the steel plate 11, so that the upper sprinkler system 3 and the bottom sprinkler system 6 are automatically turned on for water-spraying quenching. After quenching, the bottom sprinkler system 6 goes down the drive roller 4 sends the steel plate 11 out of the press quenching machine.

One skilled in the art will understand that the embodiment of the present invention as shown in the drawings and described above is exemplary only and not intended to be limiting.

It will thus be seen that the objects of the present invention have been fully and effectively accomplished. Its embodiments have been shown and described for the purposes of illustrating the functional and structural principles of the present invention and is subject to change without departure from such principles. Therefore, this invention includes all modifications encompassed within the spirit and scope of the following claims.
