TWO-WAY OPENING FILE FOLDER

Abstract

A two-way open type file folder, which is characterized in that the main body of the two-way open type file folder is provided with first and second file holders of reverse openings. The first and second cover plates are separately set at both ends of the rear panel of the main body, such that the first cover plate is used to cover the first opening of the first file holder, and the second cover plate used to cover the second opening of the second file holder. The two-way open type file folder of the present invention can substantially improve the classification functions to meet diversified user demands.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a file folder, and more particularly to an innovative one which is configured with a two-way opening structure.

2. Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 37 CFR 1.98.

The file folder is widely used for collecting files or other paper products, so continuous efforts are made in the industry to develop novel file folders of different constructions and patterns to meet the diversified customer demands.

The structural configuration of the file folder shall be considered and discussed from various aspects, such as: functionality, structural strength, value, operational convenience, portability and classification. Despite of the fact that a typical file folder is provided with a space for accommodating different files, it possibly causes disorderly arrangement of files for a bigger project.

For instance, when the file folder with dozens of spaces is opened by the user to accommodate official or private files, the user may find it difficult to identify them due to possible errors in arrangement and classification.

Thus, to overcome the aforementioned problems of the prior art, it would be an advancement if the art to provide an improved structure that can significantly improve the efficacy.

Therefore, the inventor has provided the present invention of practicability after deliberate experimentation and evaluation based on years of experience in the production, development and design of related products.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The enhanced efficacy of the present invention is as follows:

Based on the unique configuration of the present invention that the main body of “two-way open type file folder” is fitted with first and second file holders of reverse openings, and the first and second cover plates are separately set at both ends of the rear panel of the main body so as to cover separately the first and second openings of the first and second file holders, the present invention can thus improve substantially the classification functions to meet diversified user demands.

The improvements brought about by this invention are as follow:

Based on the structural configuration wherein the flanges of the and second cover plates can be configured into different shapes, or the first locating button of the first cover plate and the second locating button of the second cover plate can be designed with different colors or shapes, this makes it possible to identify easily the first and second file holders.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

FIGS. 1-3 depict preferred embodiments of a two-way open type file folder of the present invention, which, however, are provided for only explanatory objective for patent claims. Said two-way open type file folder includes a main body 10 having a front panel 11, a rear panel 12 and a retractable side wall 13 arranged at left and right sides of the front and rear panels 11, 12.

A first file holder 20 is set into the main body 10 close to the rear panel 12. The first file holder 20 has a plurality of holding spaces 21, a first bottom wall 22 and a first opening 23. Of which, the first bottom wall 22 is of a retractable pattern.

A second file holder 30 is set into the main body 10 close to the front panel 11. The second file holder 30 has a plurality of holding spaces 31, a second bottom wall 32 and a second opening 33.

Of which, the second bottom wall 32 is of a retractable pattern. The second opening 33 and first opening 23 are arranged reversely by 180 degree, such that the second bottom wall 32 and first opening 23 are located at the same end of the main body 10, while the second opening 33 and first bottom wall 22 are located at the same end of the main body 10.

A first cover plate 40 is extended and folded onto the first end of the rear panel 12 of the main body, so the first cover plate 40 can be covered securely onto the front panel 11 and the first opening 23 of the first file holder 20.

A second cover plate 50 is extended and folded onto the second end of the rear panel 12 of the main body 10. The second cover plate 50 can be covered securely onto the front panel 11 and the second opening 33 of the second file holder 30.

Of which, the first cover plate 40 is provided with a first locating button 61, and the second cover plate 50 provided with a second locating button 62. Moreover, the front panel 11 of the main body 10 is fitted with a first locating rope 71 and a second locating rope 72 of elasticity, of which the first locating rope 71 can be sleeved onto the first locating button 61 so as to locate the first cover plate 40, and the second locating rope 72 can be sleeved onto the second locating button 62 so as to locate the second cover plate 50.

Based on the above-specified structural configuration, the present invention is operated as follows:

The core functional inventive aspect of said two-way open type file folder A lies in that, the main body 10 is provided with the first file holder 20 and second file holder 30 of reverse openings, so that the two-way open type file folder A allows one to separate the space in an orderly manner. For example, assuming that the users intend to categorize the space by official or private files, all official files are placed into the first file holder 20, and all private ones placed into the second file holder 30. In this way, it is possible to prevent error of identification since the first opening 23 of the first file holder 20 and the second opening 33 of the second file holder 30 face reversely. When the user opens the first cover plate 40, as shown in FIGS. 4, 5, the official file 81 can be accessed from the first file holder 20 through the first opening 23 (shown by arrow L1). FIG. 6 depicts counterclockwise state (180 degree) of two-way open type file folder A disclosed in FIG. 5. In such case, the user may open the second cover plate 50, and access private file 82 from the second file holder 30 through the second opening 33 (shown by arrow L2). With the innovative configuration of the present invention, the file folder could be provided additionally with two-way opening plus a two-way cover plate, enabling convenient separation and classification for bigger projects.

Furthermore, in order to identify more easily the first file holder 20 and second file holder 30, the flanges of the first cover plate 40 and second cover plate 50 can be configured into different shapes (e.g. as shown in FIG. 1, the first cover plate 40 and second cover plate 50 are configured separately into a dented and an arched shape). Alternatively, the first locating button 61 of the first cover plate 40 and the second locating button 62 of the second cover plate 50 can be configured with different colors or shapes.

Claims

1. A two-way open type file folder, comprising:

a main body having a front panel, a rear panel and a retractable side wall arranged at left and right sides of the front and rear panels;

a first file holder, set into the main body and connected to the rear panel, said first file holder having a plurality of holding spaces, a first bottom wall and a first opening, of which the first bottom wall is of a retractable pattern;

a second file holder; set into the main body and connected to the front panel, said second file holder having a plurality of holding spaces, a second bottom wall and a second opening, said second bottom wall is of a retractable pattern, of which the second and first openings are arranged reversely, such that the second bottom wall and first opening are located at the same end of the main body, while the second opening and first bottom wall are located at the same end of the main body;

a first cover plate; extended and folded onto the first end of the rear panel of the main body, said first cover plate can be covered securely onto the front panel and the first opening of the first file holder;

a second cover plate; extended and folded onto the second end of the rear panel of the main body, said second cover plate can be covered securely onto the front panel and the second opening of the second file holder.

The structure defined in claim 1, wherein the first cover plate is provided with a first locating button, and the second cover plate provided with a second locating button; the front panel of the main body is fitted with the first and second locating ropes of elasticity, of which the first locating rope can be sleeved onto the first locating button so as to locate the first cover plate, and the second locating rope can be sleeved onto the second locating button so as to locate the second cover plate.

3. The structure defined in claim 1, wherein the flanges of the first and second cover plates can be different shapes.
