Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a device used in offices and more particularly, relates to a computer desk.

BACKGROUND

A prior art collapsible computer desk generally includes a desktop, a left frame, a right frame, two inner side-plates, a lower frame, a middle support plate, a back plate and a drawer. The inner side-plates are secured to the desktop and also secured to the both ends of the lower frame. The back plate is connected to the back portion of the lower frame and the bottom surface of the desktop. The middle support plate is fixed to the bottom surface of the desktop and the lower frame. The left and right frames are constructed of two vertical plates and two horizontal plates respectively. The left and right frames are coupled fixedly with the inner side-plates respectively. This kind of collapsible computer desk however, suffers from some problems such as occupation of large space when storing or transporting itself and therefore, this kind of desk is inconvenient in this respect.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One object of the invention is to provide a collapsible computer desk for which only a small size of space is needed for storage and transportation and which is easy to be assembled and disassembled.

To realize the above object, a collapsible computer desk is provided which includes a desktop, a left frame, a right frame, two inner side-plates, a lower frame, plural middle support plates, a back plate and a drawer. The inner side-plates are secured to the desktop and also secured to the both ends of the lower frame. The back plate is connected to the back portion of the lower frame and the bottom surface of the desktop. The left and right frames are constructed of two vertical plates and two horizontal plates respectively. The desk of the present invention further includes a plurality of assembled closures.

Each assembled closure is constructed of a male closure and a female closure. The male closures of the plurality of the closures are fixedly secured onto vertical plates of the left and right frames respectively, while the female closures are fixedly secured onto the both ends of the lower frame respectively. Each male closure detachably engages the corresponding female closure.

The left and right frames engage the inner side-plates in a detachable manner.

The collapsible computer desk of the invention further includes a plurality of screws and corresponding nuts.

The nuts are embedded in advance inside the horizontal plates of the left and right frames. Each inner side-plate has a plurality of connecting holes defined therein. The screws come across these connecting holes and then engage the corresponding nuts, thus realizing detachable engagement of the left and right frames with the inner side-plates.

The vertical plates of the left and right frames support the desktop thereon.

The left and right frames each contain two vertical plates and two horizontal plates. These vertical plates support the desktop thereon. The screws are embedded inside the horizontal plates of the left and right frames in advance.

Compared to prior art computer desk, the collapsible computer desk provided by the invention brings various advantages. For example, the left and right frames can detachably engage the inner side-plates and as a result, the left and right frames can be easily separated from the inner side-plates and then the two frames can be folded together so as to reduce the space they take during storage or transportation of the desk. In addition, a plurality of assembled closures is used to connect the left and right frames with the lower frame in a removable manner, thereby facilitating assemble and disassemble of the entire desk.

Other advantages and novel features will be drawn from the following detailed description of embodiments with attached drawings, in which:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of a collapsible computer desk according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a rear view of the collapsible computer desk shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a left side view of the collapsible computer desk shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 4 shows a partially exploded perspective view of the collapsible computer desk shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 5 shows another partially exploded perspective view of the collapsible computer desk shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 6 shows yet another partially exploded perspective view of the collapsible computer desk shown in FIG. 1; and

FIG. 7 illustrates an exploded perspective view of an assembled closure according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The invention will be discussed in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Reference is made to FIGS. 1-3 in which a collapsible computer desk is illustrated. As shown in these figures, the collapsible computer desk includes a desktop 1, a left frame 21, a right frame 22, two inner side-plates 3, a lower frame 4, plural middle support plates 5, a back plate 6 and a drawer 7. The inner side-plates 3 are secured to the desktop 1 and also secured to the both ends of the lower frame 4. The back plate 6 is connected to the back portion of the lower frame 4 and the bottom surface of the desktop 1. The left and right frames 21, 22 support the desktop 1 with their top portions. The desk of the present invention further includes a plurality of assembled closures 8.

As shown in FIG. 7, the assembled closure 8 is formed by a male closure 81 and a female closure 82. The male closures 81 of the plurality of the closures 8 are fixedly secured onto vertical plates 23 of the left and right frames 21, 22 respectively, while the female closures 82 are fixedly secured onto the lower frame 4 respectively. Each male closure 81 detachably engages the corresponding female closure 82.

The left and right frames 21 and 22 engage the inner side-plates 3 in a detachable manner.

A plurality of screws 9 and corresponding nuts are also included in the desk of the invention.

As shown in FIG. 4, the left and right frames 21, 22 each contain two vertical plates 23 and two horizontal plates 24. The nuts are embedded in advance inside the horizontal plates 24 of the left and right frames 21 and 22. Each inner side-plate 3 has a plurality of connecting holes defined therein. The screws 9 come across these connecting holes and then engage the corresponding nuts, thus realizing detachable engagement of the left and right frames 21, 22 with the inner side-plates 3. The vertical plates 23 of the left and right frames 21 and 22 support the desktop 1 thereon.
