RUMBLE GAME SYSTEMS

An improved tile-based game of chance and strategy playable by at least two players comprising a gridded RumBle game board, a plurality of square-shaped playable tiles, at least four tile racks which may retain the game tiles during play, and an opaque game tile bag for storing the game tiles. Players may alternate turns placing the game tiles from their hand onto the gridded RumBle game board to complete a set of at least three of the same number of different colors or a run of at least three consecutive numbered game tiles of the same color. Each set or run played by the player must interconnect with another run or set played prior to the player's turn. A round of RumBle game systems may end when one of the players has played every single tile from his or her hand.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present invention(s). It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art, or material, to the presently described or claimed inventions, or that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to the field of games and more specifically relates to a game of chance and strategy for two or more players comprising a board and a plurality of playing tiles.

2. Description of the Related Art

Many consumers enjoy playing board games or card games with family members and friends at parties, or for everyday entertainment. However, choosing between various games can be difficult, as some individuals may prefer board games, while other may favor card games. The levels of difficulty may vary between different types of games, which may also cause discrepancies as consumers decide on what type of game to purchase to play. Consumers may benefit from a unique game that is an amalgamation of different game varieties, and is at a level of difficulty that is challenging, yet reasonable for a variety of age groups to play.

Games that require counting and complex spelling may be unsuitable for younger age players. Other games may require an extended duration to complete which may lose the interest of those without long attention spans. Many games are difficult to play because of the number of pieces and the complexity of the rules and directions. In these games, some of the pieces may become misplaced such that the game is not functional. It is desirable to have a game that game players may enjoy at various levels of difficulty.

Various attempts have been made to solve the above-mentioned problems such as those found in U.S. Pat. No. 5,586,764 to Katz et al; U.S. Pat. No. 6,854,730 to Braun; U.S. Pat. No. 6,685,189 to Cherven; U.S. Pat. No. 6,170,823 to Kintner; U.S. Pat. No. 6,247,697 to Jewett; and U.S. Pub. No. 2010/0173688 to Adiv; and 2005/0263960 to Hertzano et al. This prior art is representative of strategy games. None of the above inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the invention as claimed.

Ideally, a rummy-based tile chance and strategy game should be easy to understand and play and, yet would operate reliably and be manufactured at a modest expense. Thus, a need exists for RumBle, a unique, multiplayer tile-based game which may be played on a gridded board. The object of the game may be to eliminate all of one's tiles by forming a continuous grid of runs and sets on the gridded board.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known board/card game art, the present invention provides a novel rumble game system. The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a tile-based game of chance and strategy.

Rumble game systems, as disclosed herein, provides game players with an innovative tile-based game comprising a gridded board game involving a continually expanding grid. The invention may comprise a board displaying a grid on a top surface. Two identical sets of square-shaped playable game tiles may also be included, whereby each set may comprise four different-colored suits. Each suit may comprise tiles numbered 1-13, as well as two wild card tiles in preferred embodiments.

The object of the game may be to eliminate all of one's tiles by forming a continuous grid of runs and sets. A run may consist of four or more tiles numbered consecutively, that are of the same suit. A set may consist of three or four tiles of equal value with no repeating colors. Each run and set must be connected to the other runs and sets at the top, side, or bottom by a common tile. Diagonal connections on the grid are not permitted. Within the grid, runs may contain anywhere from 4-13 tiles, as long as they are numbered consecutively and are of the same color/suit. The three or four tiles within a set must be different colors comprising the same value. (example, black 4, yellow 4, blue 4)

A round is completed when a player places his or her last tile on the table. The other players may then total the point value of their remaining tiles. The point value of each tile can be equivalent to the face value of the tile. The game may end when a player has accumulated 50 or more points. When this occurs, the player with the fewest accumulated points can be declared the winner. This game may also be made available in an online format, and may accommodate 2, 3, or 4 players in both versions.

A RumBle game assembly may comprise a plurality of tile racks. The tile racks may comprise a curved profile so as to conceal a player's game tiles from other players during play. The game assembly may further include a game tile bag. The tile bag may comprise an opaque color (to conceal the contents) and a draw string. Furthermore, the game assembly may comprise a game board base. The game board base may comprise a pivot. When the game board base is inserted into a bottom side of the game board comprising a game board base attacher, the game board may rotate 360 degrees in either direction.

The present invention holds significant improvements and serves as a novel rumble game system. For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and method(s) of use for the present invention, rumble game systems, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present invention.

FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating a method of playing rumble game systems according to an embodiment of the present invention of FIGS. 1-5.

The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As discussed above, embodiments of the present invention relate to a rumble game systems, and more particularly to a game of strategy and chance comprising a game board and a plurality of game tiles.

Referring to the drawings by numerals of reference there is shown in FIG. 1, a perspective view of rumble game systems 100 during ‘in-use’ condition 150 being played by a family of four players 140 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Rumble game systems 100 may serve as a fun, challenging, and strategic tile-based board game which may be played by at least two players 140. As shown, rumble game systems 100 may generally comprise rumble game board 110 comprising game board base 165 which may be rested on planar surface 105 during ‘in-use’ condition 150. Player(s) 140 may take turns playing game tile(s) 120 from tile rack 125 belonging to player 140 on rumble game board 110. Game tile(s) 120 which have yet to be used may remain in tile bag 130, as shown best in FIG. 1.

In continuing to refer to FIG. 1, rumble game board 110 may comprise a cardboard-based or plastic square-shaped board (other equivalent materials may be used.) During ‘in use’ condition 150, player(s) 140 may play game tile(s) 120 on rumble game board 110 in order to complete various sequences. The game may be finished when one player 140 plays all of his or her game tiles 120 from tile rack 125. Rumble game systems 100 may be played on planar surface 105 such as a table, a floor surface, a piece of furniture, a bed, or other flat surface.

Tile bag 130 may comprise a soft, opaque-colored pouch comprising a draw string for securing tile bag 130. During ‘in-use’ condition of rumble game systems 100, game tile(s) 120 may be placed inside tile bag 130. The opaque color of tile bag 130 may serve to prevent player(s) from seeing game tile(s) 120 (and thereby gaining an unfair advantage) retained by tile bag 130. In one embodiment of the present invention, tile bag 130 may comprise indicia depicting the title of the game, or may be personalized for avid fans of rumble game systems 100.

In continuing to refer to FIG. 1, it should be noted that in an alternative embodiment of the present invention, rumble game board 110 may comprise a top surface comprising a dry-erase marker surface. The dry-erase marker surface of rumble game board 100 may enable player 140 to keep score of a game directly on rumble game board 110 without a need for extraneous paper. This may be an environmentally friendly and convenient way to keep score of a given game of rumble game systems 100 whereby player(s) 140 may simply erase the score from rumble game board 110 when the game is complete.

In referring now to FIG. 2, illustrating game tile set 200 of rumble game systems 100. As shown, game tile set 200 may comprise first colored tile set 214, second colored tile set 216, third colored tile set 218, and fourth colored tile set 220. Game tile set 200 may be differentiated in other ways such as by design or the like. Furthermore, game tile set 200 may comprise at least two wild game tiles 210. Preferably, first colored tile set 214, second colored tile set 216, third colored tile set 218 and fourth colored tile set 220 each comprise game tile number 225.

Game tile number 225 in preferred embodiments may comprise the numbers 1 through 13. It should be noted that first colored tile set 214, second colored tile set 216, third colored tile set 218, and fourth colored tile set 220 each comprise a different color. In one embodiment of the present invention, first colored tile set 214 may comprise the color green, second colored tile set 216 may comprise the color orange, third colored tile set 218 may comprise the color purple, and fourth colored tile set 220 may comprise the color black. It should be noted however that any color is acceptable so long as the colors are different.

In continuing to refer to FIG. 2, in one embodiment of rumble game systems 100, game tile 120 may be manufactured from ceramic and may comprise a smooth surface. In other embodiments, game tile 120 may comprise plastic, acrylic, or finished wood. Game tile 120 may comprise indicia comprising game tile number 225 or wild game tile 210 as shown in FIG. 2. Indicia may be imprinted on game tile 120 via permanent dye.

Referring now to FIG. 3, illustrating rumble game systems 100 in properly played condition 350 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown, rumble game board 110 may preferably comprise gridded game board surface 300 whereby gridded game board surface 300 comprises a plurality of tile grid(s) 310. Tile grid may comprise a square-shaped region having approximately the same dimensions as game tile 120. Further, as shown in FIG. 3, tile grid 310 may comprise dimple 315. Dimple 315 may comprise a small protrusion which may be evenly distributed throughout each side of tile grid 310. In such a manner, when game tile 120 is played within tile grid 310, dimple 315 may serve to prevent game tile 120 from sliding or moving around on rumble game board 110.

In still referring to FIG. 3, illustrating set 320 and run 330 played in accordance to the game rules of rumble game systems 100. As shown, set 320 may comprise a series of at least 3 game tiles 120 wherein each game tile 120 comprises same game tile number 225 but from different colored sets. For example, player 140 may play three 7's, as shown, so long as each 7 comprises a different color. Further, run 330 may comprise at least 4 game tiles 120 of consecutive game tile number 225 of the same color. For example, player 140 may play 4 or more consecutive game tiles 120 from player's hand on rumble game board 110 of the same color, such as 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the same color. However, it is crucial that set 320 or run 330 played by player 140 interconnects with set 320 or run 330 previously played on rumble game board 110, as shown in FIG. 3.

Referring now to FIG. 4, illustrating a perspective view of rumble game systems 100 in improperly played condition 450 according to the embodiment of the present invention of FIG. 1. As discussed previously, a vital aspect of rumble game systems 100 is that each played set 320 or run 330 must share a common game tile 120 with another set 320 or run 330 appearing on rumble game board 110 when player 140 takes his or her turn. However, as shown in FIG. 4, run 330 comprising 9, 10, 11, and 12 is not interconnected with run 330 comprising 5, 6, 7, 8. Because run 330 is not immediately adjacent to run 330 already on rumble game board 110, gridded game board surface 300 is in improperly played condition 450.

In turning now to FIG. 5, illustrating rumble game assembly 500 according to a preferred embodiment of rumble game systems 100. As shown, rumble game assembly 500 may comprise the following components: rumble game rules 505, rumble game board 110, game board base 165, game tile set(s) 200, tile rack(s) 125, rumble game rules 505, and rumble game box 530. As shown, rumble game board 110 may comprise game board bottom 510 wherein game board bottom 510 comprises game board base attacher 520. In such a manner, game board base 165 may be inserted into game board bottom 510 via game board base attacher 520 thereby providing raised support to rumble game board 110. In a preferred embodiment of rumble game systems 100, game board base 165 may comprise a pivot enabling rumble game board 110 to be rotatable 360 degrees in both directions. As such, players 140 playing rumble game systems 100 may rotate rumble game board 110 on his or her turn. Game board base 165 comprising a pivot may conveniently enable player 140 to see rumble game board 110 at a correct angle while preventing game tiles 120 from shifting around on gridded game board surface 300. It should further be noted that game board bottom 510 of rumble game board 110 preferably comprises three folding game board lines 515 evenly distributed on game board bottom 510. In such a manner, rumble game board 110 may be folded and stored in rumble game box 530 during periods of non-use.

In still referring to FIG. 5, illustrating rumble game assembly 500. Preferably, rumble game assembly 500 may comprise 4 tile racks 125, 2 sets of game tile set 200 wherein each game tile set 200 comprises 13 first colored tile set 214 comprising game tile number 225 numbered 1-13, 13 second colored tile set 216 comprising game tile number 225 numbered 1-13, 13 third colored tile set 218 comprising game tile number 225 numbered 1-13, and 13 fourth colored tile set 220 comprising game tile number 225 numbered 1-13, and 4 wild game tiles 210, 1 tile bag 130, 1 set of rumble game rules 505, and 1 rumble game box 530. As shown in FIG. 5, tile rack 125 may comprise blinders positioned on each side of tile rack 125. Further, tile rack 125 a small inline shelf or shelves for holding game tiles 120 during ‘in-use’ condition 150 as best shown in FIG. 1. The blinders of tile rack 125 may provide concealment of game tiles 120 of player 140 from adjacent player 140 during ‘in-use’ condition 150 of rumble game systems 100.

Rumble game systems 100 may comprise rumble game rules 505 providing parameters and rules for playing rumble game systems 100. Rumble game rules 505 may provide the following rules to be followed by players 140:

Welcome to Rumble. Rumble is a tile-based game which may appear simple in concept, but can be challenging for players at any skill level. Creativity and analytical skills are the key components. Rumble is played with 2, 3, or 4 players. (It may be more enjoyable with 2 players because you don't have to wait so long for your turn!) Alternatively, Rumble may be played with more than 4 players but may require a second Rumble game assembly 500. The playing pieces may comprise two identical game tile set(s) 200, whereby each game tile set 200 may comprise 4 different colored suits of tiles (first colored tile set 214, second colored tile set 216, third colored tile set 218, and fourth colored tile set 220). Each game tile 120 may comprise game tile number 225 wherein game tile number 225 may comprise the numbers 1 through 13, with a different color distinguishing each suit. There may also be 2 wild game tile(s) 120 used. The total number of game tile(s) 120 is 106, comprising of 26 first colored tile set 214 (1-13×2), 26 second colored tile set 216 (1-13×2), 26 third colored tile set 218 (1-13×2), 26 fourth colored tile set 220 (1-13×2), and 2 wild game tile 210=106 total game tile(s) 120).

The object of rumble game systems 100 is to play all one's game tile(s) 120 by forming a continuous grid of set(s) 320 or run(s) 330. Set(s) 320 may comprise 3 or 4 game tile(s) 120 of equal value with no repeating colors. Run(s) 330 may comprise 4 or more game tile(s) 120 numbered consecutively and of the same suit (color). Each set(s) 320 or run(s) 330 must be connected to set(s) 320 or run(s) 330 previously played on rumble game board 110 by at least one common game tile 120. The connection point between common game tile(s) 120 must be at the top, side, or bottom. A diagonal connection at just the corners of game tile(s) 120 is not a valid connection (as shown in FIG. 4).

Within gridded game board surface 300, run(s) 330 may contain any where from 4 to 13 game tile(s) 120, as long as game tile(s) 120 are numbered consecutively and the same color. Set(s) 320 may only be 3 or 4 game tile(s) 120, with the same value but different colors.

A round is completed when player 140 places his last game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300. The other player(s) 140 must total the point value of their remaining unplayed game tile(s) 120. Point value of game tile(s) 120 is the face value of game tile(s) 120. Wild game tile(s) 210 have a point value of 25. The game ends when player 140 has 50 or more points. When this occurs, player 140 with the fewest number of accumulated points is the winner. It may take more than one round of play for player 140 to accumulate 50 points. It should be noted however that rumble game systems 100 may easily be extended by playing to 100, 200, or a higher point value.

STARTING THE GAME: To start rumble game systems 100, game tile(s) 120 may be placed in tile bag 130. Each player 140 selects one game tile 120 and player 140 with lowest value game tile(s) 120 goes first. Then, each player 140 draws 14 game tile(s) 120 from tile bag 130 beginning with player 140 who drew lowest game tile 120. It should be noted that wild game tile 210 is considered the highest value tile for purposes of deciding who goes first. Each player's 140 game tile(s) 120 should remain hidden from other player(s) 140. This may be facilitated via curved profile of tile racks 125 included with rumble game assembly 500. The remaining game tile(s) 120 form the “draw pile” and in one version of play may be placed in tile bag 130 also provided with rumble game assembly 500.

PLAYING THE TABLE: The first play on gridded game board surface 300 must be a run 330. However, the initial run 330 may be 3 or more game tile(s) 120 rather than the normal requirement of 4 or more game tile(s) 120. All subsequent run(s) 330 must contain at least 4 game tile(s) 120. Player(s) 140 draw in turn until player 140 is able to lay down run 330. Player 140 placing initial run 330 may also play other game tile(s) 120 on his initial turn as long as the additional game tile(s) 120 form valid set(s) 320 or run(s) 330 and are all interconnected. When player 140 who placed the initial game tile(s) 120 has completed his or her turn, all subsequent turns simply require player 140 to add at least one game tile(s) 120 to gridded game board surface 300 by forming valid new set(s) 320 or run(s) 330. If player 140 is unable to play at least one game tile(s) 120, he must draw 1 (one) game tile 120 from the draw pile and wait until his or her next turn.

RE-ARRANGING THE TABLE: Rearranging the table is the most exciting and fun part of rumble game systems 100! On his/her turn, player 140 may rearrange any game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300 to enable player 140 to play a new game tile(s) from his or her hand. Player 140 who can best visualize new set(s) 320 or run(s) 330 on gridded game board surface 300 has the best chance of playing all his or her game tile(s) 120. However, at the completion of the turn, all game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300 must continue to form valid set(s) 320 or run(s) 330 and all game tile(s) 120 must continue to be interconnected. Gridded game board surface 300 may look drastically different at the end of player(s) 140 turn. Further, player(s) 140 turn ends when he or she can no longer play or chooses not to play game tile(s) 120. If player 140 does not play at least one game tile 120 on his or her turn, he must draw new game tile 120 from the draw pile and wait until his or her next turn.

It should be noted that the edge of gridded game board surface 300 is not a fixed boundary as in other games. At any time on his or her turn, player 140 may shift the entire arrangement of game tile(s) 120 toward the center of the board. Further, player 140 may move a group of game tile(s) 120 which may be running into an edge of gridded game board surface 300, assuming the group of game tile(s) 120 may be incorporated somewhere else on the board. An alternative option is extending the grid beyond gridded game board surface 300 and onto planar surface 105.

WILD TILES: When playing wild game tile 210 from his or her hand, player 140 may use wild game tile 210 as a substitute for any game tile 120, as long as the play forms a valid set 320 or run 330. Once wild game tile 210 has been played on gridded game board surface 300 it may only be replaced with the exact game tile 120 it represents. The game tile 120 replacing wild game tile 210 must come from player's 140 hand and not from game tile(s) 120 already played on gridded game board surface 300). In the case of wild game tile 210 being used in set 320, the replacement game tile 210 may be either of the remaining two colors (e.g. in set 320 consisting of first colored tile set 214 “6”, second colored tile set 216 “6”, and wild game tile 210, wild game tile 210 may be replaced by either third colored tile set 218 “6” or fourth colored tile set 220 “6”). When player 140 replaces wild game tile 210 he or she must replay it somewhere else on gridded game board surface 300 during the same turn.

WINNING THE GAME: The object of rumble game systems 100 is for one player 140 to play all game tile(s) 120 by forming interconnected set(s) 320 and run(s) 330 on gridded game board surface 300 of rumble game board 100. During his or her turn, player 140 may rearrange game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300 to facilitate his playing of additional game tile(s) 120, as long as the rearranged game tile(s) 120 continue to form legitimate interconnected set(s) 320 and run(s) 330.

When player 140 has played his last game tile 120, the point value of game tile(s) 120 remaining in the other player's 140 hands count against them. When player 140 has accumulated 50 or more points, the game ends. Player 140 with the fewest points is the winner; player 140 with the most points loses.

SOME TIPS: Depending on your luck, it may take a few draws before someone can play initial run 330 to start the table, but the game will progress faster after that.

On a player's 140 turn, sometimes gridded game board surface 300 may become unorganized as he or she tries to figure out new combinations. Because of that, when re-arranging gridded game board surface 300 during a turn it is suggested the potential new game tile(s) 120 from player's 140 hand be placed upside-down on gridded game board surface 300 (but face-up). This may allow players to remember which game tile 120 is from the hand of player 140, in case the re-arranging doesn't work and player 140 has to retract game tile(s) 120 back into his or her hand.

Interconnected game tile(s) 120 must abut at the top, sides, or bottom. A diagonal connection at the corners is not valid. During play, it is essential that a group of game tile(s) 120 does not become disconnected because they are only connected at the corner.

Rumble game systems 100 may appear simple at first, but as player 140 gains experience, more sophisticated ways to rearrange game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300 may be discovered to enable player 140 to play more game tile(s) 120.

Set(s) 320 and run(s) 330 may intersect so long as all connected game tile(s) 120 form valid set(s) 320 and run(s) 330. Gridded game board surface 300 may eventually resemble a crossword puzzle, with every vertical and horizontal set of game tile(s) 120 forming a valid set 320 and run 330.

It should be noted and appreciated that although rumble game systems 100 is primarily contemplated to be a board game played by players 140 in a face-to-face environment, rumble game systems 100 may comprise an Internet electronic embodiment wherein rumble game systems 100 may be played remotely over an internet connection. In such a manner, player 140 may play 2-4 other players 140 of different geographic regions and still enjoy rumble game systems 100. In addition, the game may be played against a virtual, or computer generated opponent.

FIG. 6 shows flowchart 650 illustrating method of use 600 of rumble game systems 100 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention of FIGS. 1-5.

Method of use 600 may comprise the steps of: step one 601 distributing an even amount of game tile(s) 120 to each player 140, step two 602 placing game tile(s) 120 on gridded game board surface 300 of rumble game board 110 to complete set(s) 320 and run(s) 330, step three 603 playing game tile(s) 120 from a hand of player 140 to win game. An optional step four 604 may comprise the step of inserting game board base 165 into game board bottom 510 via game board base attacher 520 prior to beginning the game. Optional step of method of use 600 is illustrated as a dotted line on FIG. 6 of flowchart 650.

It should be noted that the steps described in the method of use can be carried out in many different orders according to user preference. Upon reading this specification, it should be appreciated that, under appropriate circumstances, considering such issues as design preference, user preferences, marketing preferences, cost, structural requirements, available materials, technological advances, etc., other methods of use arrangements such as, for example, different orders within above-mentioned list, elimination or addition of certain steps, including or excluding certain maintenance steps, etc., may be sufficient.

The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.

Claims

1. A tile-based game of chance and strategy comprising:

at least one game board assembly;
at least one set of game tiles being substantially square-shaped; and
at least one set of game rules;
wherein said game board assembly comprises at least one rumble game board, at least one game board base, at least one game board base attacher, at least one game tile bag, and at least one tile rack;
wherein a top surface of said rumble game board comprises square grids from end-to-end;
wherein said game tile(s) comprises dimensions substantially equivalent to dimensions of said square grids of said rumble game board;
wherein said game board base is connectable to a bottom surface of said rumble game board via said game board base attacher; and
wherein said game tiles are played by a player within said square grids of said rumble game board to complete a set or a run according to the parameters set forth in said set of game rules such that each said set or said run interconnects with another said set or said run already played on said rumble game board.

2. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said game tiles comprise four different colors.

3. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 2, wherein said game tiles comprising said four different colors further comprise game-related indicia.

4. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 3, wherein said game-related indicia comprises numbers.

5. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 3, wherein said game-related indicia comprises letters.

6. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said tile-based game of chance and strategy is playable by at least two said players.

7. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 6, wherein said at least two players alternate turns placing said game tiles on said rumble game board to form said sets or said runs.

8. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 7, wherein said set or said run played by said player must be played in a manner such that at least one said game tile of said set or said run is immediately adjacent to a second said set or a second said run previously played on said rumble game board.

9. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 8, wherein said player is entitled to re-arrange said game tiles on said rumble game board in a manner such that each said game tile completes said set or said run and wherein each said set or said run is interconnected with another said set or said run on said rumble game board.

10. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said game board base further comprises a pivot enabling said rumble game board to rotate about an axis.

11. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said square grids of said rumble game board comprises small dimples distributed evenly along a border of each said square grid.

12. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said rumble game board comprises durable cardboard.

13. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 12, wherein said rumble game board comprising said durable cardboard is foldable.

14. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 12, wherein said rumble game board comprising said durable cardboard further comprises a dry-erase surface compatible with a dry-erase marker.

15. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said game tiles comprise ceramic.

16. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said game tiles comprise plastic.

17. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1, wherein said tile rack comprises blinders for enhanced concealment of said game tiles during play.

18. The tile-based game of chance and strategy of claim 1 further comprising a means for said players to play said tile-based game of chance and strategy remotely against one another via Internet.

19. A tile-based game of chance and strategy playable by at least two players comprising:

at least one game board assembly, said game board assembly comprising at least one rumble game board, said rumble game board comprising card board, said card board comprising a game board bottom, said game board bottom comprising folding game board lines, said rumble game board further comprising a dry-erase surface, at least one game board base, at least one game board base attacher, at least game tile bag, and at least one tile rack, said tile rack comprising blinders for further concealing said game tiles;
at least one set of game tiles, said game tiles comprising ceramic and being square-shaped, said game tiles further comprising different colors, said games tiles further comprising game-related indicia wherein said game-related indicia comprises either numbers or a letter indicating said game tile is “wild”; and
at least one set of game rules;
wherein a top surface of said rumble game board comprises square grids from end-to-end;
wherein said playable game tile comprises dimensions substantially equivalent to the dimensions of said square grids of said rumble game board;
wherein said game board base comprises a pivot, wherein said pivot is connectable to said game board bottom of said rumble game board via said game board base attacher; and
wherein said game tiles are played by a player within said square grids of said rumble game board to complete a set or a run according to the parameters set forth in said set of game rules such that each said set or said run interconnects with another said set or said run already played on said rumble game board.

20. A method of playing a tile-based game of chance and strategy comprising the steps of:

inserting a game board base into a bottom side of a rumble game board;
distributing an equal amount of game tiles to at least two players;
playing said game tiles forming a set or a run as defined by a set of game rules on said rumble game board such that each said set or said run interconnects with a second said set or said run already played on said rumble game board; and
winning said game by playing all of said game tiles.
