FIG. 3 shows a state of the heat dissipation device of FIG. 2 mounted in a chassis.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

Referring to FIG. 1, an exemplary embodiment of a heat dissipation device includes a frame 20 and four fans 10 mounted to the frame 20.

The frame 20 includes a base 22 and a fixing member 30.

The base 22 is substantially square-shaped, and defines four through holes 220 in four corners and an opening 26 in a center of the base 22. A cross-shaped bracket 260 is arranged in the opening 26 and connected to sides of the base 22 with corresponding ends of the bracket 260. The bracket 260 divides the opening 26 into four holes (not labeled). A substantially square-shaped supporting portion 262 is formed in a center of the bracket 260. Four rods 24 extend from four corners of the supporting portion 262, respectively, and each rod 24 defines a slot 240 in a circumference of the rod 24, adjacent to a distal end of the rod 24. A holding piece 264 is formed at a conjunction of each side of the base 22 and the corresponding end of the bracket 260. Two spaced protrusions 266 protrude from each supporting piece 264.

The fixing member 30 is a substantially square-shaped elastic loop. An opening 300 is defined in one side of the fixing member 30. A tab 302 extends out from one of the sides bounding the opening 300.

Each fan 10 includes two spaced boards 12. Each board 12 defines four fixing holes 14 in four corners, respectively.

Referring to FIG. 2, in assembly, each fan 10 is aligned with a corresponding hole of the opening 26 of the frame 20. The rods 24 respectively extend through two corresponding fixing holes 14 of the boards 12. The distal ends of the rods 24 extend out of the board 12 away from the base 22. The slots 240 of the rods 24 are exposed through the board 12 away from the base 22. The protrusions 266 extend through the corresponding fixing holes 14 of the board adjacent to the base 22. The through holes 220 align with the rest of the fixing holes 14 of the fan 10. The side defining the opening 300 of the fixing member 30 is deformed to expand the opening 300, thereby the fixing member 30 fits about the distal ends of the rods 24 of the frame 20. The fixing member 30 is released to be restored, with the sides of the fixing member 30 engaging in the slots 240 of the corresponding rods 24, to prevent the fans 10 from disengaging from the frame 20. The fans 10 are sandwiched between the base 22 and the fixing member 30.

Referring to FIG. 3, four fasteners 40 extend through a chassis 50, the through holes 220 of the base 22, and are received in the corresponding fixing holes 14 of the fans 10, to mount the heat dissipation device to the chassis 50.

In disengaging the fans 10, the fasteners 40 are released, and the tab 302 of the fixing member 30 is deformed to expand the opening 300. The fans 10 are readily disengaged from the frame 20.

It is believed that the present embodiments and their advantages will be understood from the foregoing description, and they will be apparent that various changes may be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the description or sacrificing all of their material advantages, the examples hereinbefore described merely being exemplary embodiments.
