A highchair comprises a seat and a leg portion, and two embedding holes are formed on both sides of the seat respectively, and a latch groove is formed at an end of the seat. The leg portion includes two latch bumps and a link axle, and the latch bumps correspond to the embedding holes respectively, and the link axle corresponds to the latch groove. The latch bumps are engaged with the embedding holes and the link axle is engaged with the latch groove to couple the seat and the leg portion. In other words, the seat and the leg portion are coupled securely and reliably in different degrees of freedom. After the use of the highchair, users can simply separate the latch groove and the embedding holes from the link axle and the latch bumps respectively to disassemble the highchair.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a highchair, in particular to a highchair that latches latch bumps into embedding holes and engages a link axle with a latch groove to couple a seat with a leg portion.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

As the society is developed rapidly in a diversified manner, various different convenient products are developed and a safe and convenient highchair provided for babies and children is one of these products. However, most highchairs available in the market come with a seat and a leg portion integrally formed with each other, such that the use of the highchair or the utility of space has limitations. Therefore, the inventor of the present invention developed a highly secured and easily assembled/unassembled highchair to overcome the foregoing problem.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a highchair, characterized in that latch bumps are latched into embedding holes respectively and a link axle is engaged with a latch groove to couple a seat with a leg portion.

To achieve the aforementioned objective, the present invention provides a highchair comprising a seat and a leg portion, wherein two embedding holes are formed on both sides of the seat respectively, and a latch groove is formed at an end of the seat. In addition, the leg portion includes two latch bumps and a link axle, and the two latch bumps correspond to the two embedding holes respectively, and the link axle corresponds to the latch groove, such that the latch bumps can be latched into the embedding holes respectively and the link axle is engaged with the latch groove to couple the seat with the leg portion.

The highchair of the invention further comprises a footrest coupled to the link axle and can be turned by using the link axle as a main shaft. In addition, the highchair of the present invention further comprises a tray mounted onto two handles of the seat, such that a baby sitting on the highchair can eat while sitting on the highchair. Further, a sitting portion of the seat further comprises a flange provided for preventing the baby from sliding down from the highchair. Obviously, the footrest and the flange can provide a dual protection mechanism to prevent the baby from sliding down from the highchair.

In summation, the seat and the leg portion of the highchair of the present invention are coupled by the aforementioned latching and engaging methods, not only providing a convenient way of assembling and disassembling the seat and the leg portion of the highchair, but also achieving the effect of securely coupling the seat with the leg portion in directions of different axes. In other words, a stable and reliable connection between the seat and the leg portion in different degrees of freedom can be achieved. Therefore, users simply need to separate the link axle and the latch bumps from the latch groove and the embedding holes respectively in a reverse sequence to disassemble the highchair easily after the use of the highchair.

As described above, the highchair of the present invention has the following advantages:

(1) In the highchair of the present invention, the seat and the leg portion can be coupled securely and reliably in different degrees of freedom.

(2) In the highchair of the present invention, users simply need to separate the link axle and the latch bumps from the latch groove and the embedding holes respectively in a reverse sequence to achieve the effect of disassembling the highchair easily.

(3) In the highchair of the present invention, the footrest and the flange constitute a dual protection mechanism for preventing a baby from sliding down from the highchair.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The technical characteristics and contents of the present invention will become apparent with the following detailed description and related drawings. It is noteworthy to point out that same numerals are used for representing respective same elements in the drawings.

With reference to FIG. 1 for a schematic view of an unassembled highchair of the present invention, the highchair comprises a seat 10 and a leg portion 20, wherein two embedding holes 101 are formed on both sides of the seat 10 respectively, and a latch groove 102 is formed at an end of the seat 10. In addition, the leg portion 20 includes two latch bumps 201 and a link axle 202, and the two latch bumps 201 correspond to the two embedding holes 101 respectively, and the link axle 202 corresponds to the latch groove 102. The latch bumps 201 can be latched into the embedding holes 101 respectively and the link axle 202 can be engaged with the latch groove 102 to couple the seat 10 with the leg portion 20.

More specifically, the embedding holes 101 are in a circular shape, and the latch bumps 201 are in a circular cylindrical shape, so that users can simply couple the seat 10 to the leg portion 20 and latch the latch bumps 201 of the leg portion 20 into the embedding holes 101 of the seat 10 respectively to complete the first step of coupling the seat 10 with the leg portion 20. In the process of coupling the seat 10 with the leg portion 20 by coupling the embedding holes 101 with the latch bumps 201, the link axle 202 of the leg portion 20 is latched into the latch groove 102 of the seat 10 to complete the second step of coupling the seat 10 with the leg portion 20. Specifically, the sequence of the first and second steps of coupling the seat 10 with the leg portion 20 is not important, but either one of the steps can be carried out first, or both steps can be carried out simultaneously.

The highchair of the present invention further comprises a footrest 30 coupled to the link axle 202 and can be turned by using the link axle 202 as a main shaft. In practical applications, the footrest 30 and the link axle 202 are connected tightly with each other. In other words, the footrest 30 can be turned and adjusted slightly to fit the size of the baby who sits on the highchair, such that the baby can step on the footrest 30 to prevent a possible accident of sliding down from the highchair.

With reference to FIGS. 2 and 3 for a front view and a rear view of an assembled highchair of the present invention respectively, the seat 10 and the leg portion 20 of the highchair are coupled by means of a latching or engaging method, not only providing a convenient way of assembling and disassembly the seat 10 and the leg portion 20, but also achieving the effect of coupling the seat 10 with the leg portion 20 in directions of different axes. In other words, when the seat 10 and the leg portion 20 are coupled, the seat 10 can be fixed to the footrest 30 and a support portion 203 of the leg portion 20 in a direction of the X-axis. When the link axle 202 is latched into the latch groove 102 and the latch bumps 201 are latched into the embedding holes 101 respectively, the seat 10 is limited to a certain extent by the leg portion 20 in the directions of Y-axis and Z-axis. In other words, the seat 10 and the leg portion 20 can be coupled stably and reliably in different degrees of freedom.

Therefore, users simply need to separate the latch groove 102 and the embedding holes 101 from the link axle 202 and latch bumps 201 respectively in a reverse sequence to disassemble the highchair easily after the use of the highchair.

In addition, the highchair of the present invention further comprises a tray 40 mounted onto at two handles 103 of the seat 10, such that the baby sitting on the highchair can eat while sitting on the highchair. In addition, a sitting portion of the seat 10 further comprises a flange 104 for preventing the baby from sliding down from the highchair, and thus the footrest 30 and the flange 104 constitute a dual protection mechanism for preventing the baby from sliding from the highchair.

In the aforementioned structure and implementation method, the highchair of the present invention can be assembled and disassembled easily and provide a convenient carry or transportation. In addition, the seat 10 and the leg portion 20 can be coupled more securely to enhance the safety of the highchair.

Claims

1. A highchair, comprising:

a seat, having two embedding holes formed on both sides of the seat respectively, and a latch groove formed at an end of the seat; and
a leg portion, having two latch bumps and a link axle, and the two latch bumps corresponding to the two embedding holes, and the link axle corresponding to the latch groove,
wherein the two latch bumps are latched into the two embedding holes and the latch groove is coupled to the link axle to couple the seat with the leg portion.

2. The highchair of claim 1, further comprising a tray mounted onto two handles of the seat.

3. The highchair of claim 1, further comprising a footrest coupled to the link axle, and the footrest is turned by using the link axle as a main shaft.

4. The highchair of claim 1, wherein the two embedding holes are in a circular shape and the two latch bumps are in a circular cylindrical shape.

5. The highchair of claim 1, wherein the seat has a sitting portion with a flange, and the flange is provided for preventing a sitter from sliding down from the highchair.
