The present invention relates to an exerciser, and more particularly, to a multiple exerciser which is compact and suitable for indoor use.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONMost of the conventional exercisers are bulky and heavy, and most of them are expensive and not suitable for general users who do not have enough space for the exercisers. Some exercisers are compact and can be used at homes, such as dumbbells or spring bars, these compact exercises have limited function and the users easily feel boring. Different types of exercise require different exercisers which become an economic burden for the users.
However, the conventional exerciser 9 provides only one function and the user holds the handle and pushes it downward, this action is boring. When adjusting the resilient member 95, the socket 91 has to be removed and the resilient member 95 is replaced. This is not convenient for the users.

The leg positioning member 1 is an I-shaped member and has two recesses 12 on two sides thereof so as to receive the user's thighs. A passage 11 is defined through the leg positioning member 1.
The hollow slide rod 2 extends through the passage 11 and is movable relative to the leg positioning member 1. A top cap 21 and an inner tube 22 are connected to the top of the slide rod 2 and two slots 20 are defined through the wall of the slide rod 2. The top cap 21 is fixed to the top of the slide rod 2 by multiple bolts. Two pivotal frames 211 are located on two sides of the slide rod 2 and the two handles 4 are respectively and pivotably connected to the pivotal frames 211. A torsion spring 212 is located between each pair of the handle 4 and the pivotal frame 211 so that the handle 4 can return to its initial position after being pivoted. The inner tube 22 is a hollow tube and located in the slide rod 2 and inserted into the top cap 21. An end piece 222 is fixedly connected in the top of the inner tube 22 by bolts and a positioning tube 223 is fixed to the lower end of the end piece 222. Two connection lugs 221 respectively extend radially from two sides of the inner tube 22 and are fixed to the leg positioning member 1 by bolts. The two connection lugs 221 the slide rod 2 are slidably engaged with the two slots 20. A hollow base 24 and a positioning rod 241 are connected to the lower end of the slide rod 2.
The damping device 3, preferably a spring, has its upper portion mounted to the positioning tube 223 of the end piece 222 on the slide rod 2, and the lower portion of the damping device 3 is mounted to the positioning rod 241 of the slide block 242. The damping device 3 is located between the leg positioning member 1 and the slide rod 2 so that when the leg positioning member 1 is moved relative to the slide rod 2 to compress the damping device 3, the damping device 3 provides a force to return the leg positioning member 1 and the slide rod 2.
Each handle 4 has a contact member 41 and the two contact members 41 of the two handles 4 are located symmetrically relative to axis of the contact member 41. Each handle 4 comprises the contact member 41 and a grip 42. The contact member 41 has an insertion hole 411 at the rear end thereof and the grip 42 is inserted into the insertion hole 411. The two contact members 41 are located overlapped when viewed from the horizontal direction, so that the grips 42 can be separated from the contact members 41. A locking device 5 is connected to the handles 4 to set the handles 4 to be pivotable or not.

The section from the pivotal point 213 of the handle 4 and the pivotal frame 211 of the top cap 21 to the front end of the handle 4 is defined as the extension 412 of the contact member 41. The extensions 412 of the two contact members 41 are located on two parallel planes and are overlapped when viewed in horizontal direction. Each contact member 41 has a protrusion 413 and the two respective protrusions 413 face to each other to define a space 414 in which the T-shaped bolt 52 is located as shown in
By rotating the knob 51, the T-shaped bolt 52 is rotated and the head 521 of the T-shaped bolt 52 is engaged with or disengaged from the protrusion 413 of the contact member 41 corresponding thereto. The user 7 can also rotate the knob 51 to lock the handles 4. When rotating the knob 51, the head 521 of the T-shaped bolt 52 is engaged with the protrusion 413 of the contact member 41 corresponding thereto as shown in
