The resistance member includes inner and outer band attachment mounts spaced-apart along the length of the bar and an elastic band attached to and disposed between the band attachment mounts. A user performs push-up exercises from a prone position and barbell exercises from a supine position or a standing position.

Abstract: An arm exercising device includes a frame, a linkage mechanism, and an impeding unit disposed to apply a resistance force to the linkage mechanism. The frame includes an upright support that has a fixed guide rod. The linkage mechanism includes a pair of swing arms pivotally mounted on the upright support for swinging upward and downward, a runner sleeve disposed slidably over the guide rod for movement upward or downward, a pair of linking rods, each connected between the runner sleeve and one of the swing arms, and a force transmitting cord connected to the handgrips and the swing arms. The resistance force applied to each arm of the user who grips both handgrips and pulls downward is applied evenly to enable a smooth exercise to be performed.

Abstract: An exercising apparatus designed to fit around a seat includes a frame that is adapted to be secured to a support. The frame is a U-shaped configuration with a lateral open area to receive the seat into the frame. One or more arms are coupled to the frame about one or more pivots. Further, the pivots allow a pivotal motion of each of the arms when a force is exerted thereto by a user. One or more resistance devices coupled to the frame and the arms, which provide resistance to the pivotal motion of each of the arms. The resistance devices, which may be a hydraulic or pneumatic piston and cylinder, may include a spring to bias the arms toward their initial, upright position.

Abstract: The present invention provides for in one embodiment an archery exerciser training device designed to eliminate or minimize target panic, develop muscle memory, and warn up muscles before using a bow and arrow. The training device consists of a cylindrical tube with an attached handle. Within the tube is a gas compression spring with integrated plungers mounted on either end. Each plunger further includes an axle on which two wheels are opposingly mounted. A cable is mounted to one plunger at the distal end of the device and the cable travels in a zig-zag fashion around the four wheels and out of the plunger at the proximal end of the device and terminates in a loop, thereby creating a pulley system. The exposed loop of the cable is pulled in a rearward direction, approximating the motions made when drawing a bowstring.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for isometric exercise that safely reduces resting blood pressure and increases overall cardiovascular health. The apparatus includes a handle or grip configured to provide natural resistance to force and maximize user comfort. The system includes squeezing the handle or grip of the apparatus with a force that is less than the maximum squeeze force of the user, thereby reducing blood flow through contracting arm muscles and safely increasing blood pressure during exercise. Resting blood pressure is reduced through regular use of the system. The method includes measuring and recording the maximum squeeze force of a user, calculating a fractional force using the duration of exercise or a desired fractional force percentage, and alternately inducing the user to apply the fractional force for a calculated time and inducing the user to apply a lesser fractional force or no force for a calculated time.
