FRAMEWORK FOR CAMPING TENTS AND PARASOLS WITH AN OSCILLATING SECURE LOCKING SYSTEM

A framework for camping tents and parasols has an oscillating secure locking system allowing the folding and extending thereof and having a central part or joint with radial grooves for a prismatic arm in correspondence with each groove. Each arm has at its inner end a channel for the articulated coupling on the transverse axis of the respective groove, allowing the positioning of the arms and of the respective rods coupled to the arms. The cloth, the central part and the oscillating secure locking part are secured of a stem forming part of a cap with a hole for a pull cord for extending the tent or parasol, the stem of the cap being housed in a central hole of the central part.

Description
BACKGROUND

The present invention relates to a framework for camping tents and parasols with an oscillating secure locking system based on a central part or joint which, in combination with a series of arms, the oscillating secure locking part and a part acting as a cap attaching all the parts, enables fixing as many other rods on the arms to keep the cloth securely extended.

The object of the invention is to achieve complete versatility and security of the framework for obtaining different types of designs of both camping tents and parasols based on the use of one and the same type of fixing joints for the rods.

To maintain the extensibility of the walls or parts of the cloth corresponding to a camping tent or parasol, a central part to which there are fixed movable arms which in turn receive the rods forming the structure of the compartment or camping tent per se is required, the following two basic fixing systems exist:

    • One of them comprises a rigid central part receiving arms which are pre-established by the original design, not allowing the modification of adding or removing arms for their use in different designs of folding compartments.
    • Another system is based on a flexible central part directly receiving the rods forming the structure, such that in this case when the compartment is formed, said central part is folded over itself. Likewise, there is no option of increasing or reducing the number of rods that can be attached to said folding system.

In summary, by means of known fixing systems, the problem they have consists on one hand of the structural rigidity, i.e., if one of the merge points between arms or rods is provided, for example, for four arms because it is required due to the design of the folding tent or compartment, said number is invariable and cannot be replaced with another having, for example, six arms when the design of the compartment is to be changed logically with another cloth cover; and on the other hand the impossibility of varying the basic structure.

SUMMARY

The proposed framework has been conceived to solve the problem described above based on the different parts of the folding compartment, i.e., of the camping tent or parasol, the sides and roof being considered as parts, being able to remain extended and securely allowing the folding thereof without any difficulties.

Said invention is based on the so-called “all-purpose design”, including the design, development and marketing of common products, services, systems and environments that can be accessed and used by the greatest possible range of users.

Specifically, the framework of the invention uses a central part with a concentric hole and a plurality of radial grooves intended for receiving as many other arms such that each groove has in its bottom area a crosspiece acting as an assembly shaft of each arm in order to allow the latter to take up a vertical folded position with respect to the central part or an extended position, those arms being assembly elements for respective rods which are axially inserted therein, specifically in a passage arranged in said arms, which rods forming the extending means and keep the corresponding part of the tent, either the roof or any of its side walls or rear wall, because the front wall will logically be made of the corresponding opening cloth forming the door for accessing the interior, extended. The secure locking part which is formed of as many radial shafts and radial grooves as the joint central has, and the oscillating radial movement of which allows temporarily locking the arms to prevent said structure from accidentally folding, is arranged before the cloth.

The cloth is fixed to the central part and the oscillating secure locking part by means of a stem which is rectangular in its first half and circular up to the end thereof, corresponding to a type of cap coupled in the rectangular hole of the oscillating secure locking part and in the circular hole of the central part, thus fixing the cloth to said part, while at the same time that stem or cap includes a head with two support points for being able to rotate the oscillating secure locking part and a hole or ring for the passage of a cord which will allow a person to pull on it and thus easily and quickly assemble the tent from the outside.

The described framework is compact, which allows securing and locking multiple rods and the cloth itself to the central part.

The number of arms and therefore of rods to be assembled on the central part will depend on the design of the tent or parasol to be formed because that central part has many grooves, being able to use three, four, etc., and thus situate three, four, etc., rods and thereby vary the design as stated above, hence the complete versatility of the described framework. The oscillating secure locking system in turn covers all the radial grooves without taking the number of arms into account.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

To complement the description made below and for the purpose of aiding to better understand the features of the invention according to a preferred practical embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description in which the following has been depicted with an illustrative and non-limiting character:

FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the central part forming part of the framework object of the invention, as well as different arms, the oscillating secure locking part and the stem acting as a cap, all in an exploded view and in the situation of being coupled to one another.

FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the central part of the preceding figure in the extended state on which there are assembled specifically six arms arranged horizontally and respective arms assembled therein together with the oscillating locking part in its locking state, locking the arms to prevent the accidental folding thereof.

FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of the central part of the preceding figure in the folded state on which there are assembled specifically six arms arranged vertically and respective rods being assembled thereon together with the oscillating locking part in its unlocking state, for unlocking the arms to allow the folding of the arms and their respective rods.

FIG. 4 shows a section view of the central part with the arms extended, the oscillating secure locking part and the stem acting as a cap.

FIG. 5 shows a schematic perspective view of a camping tent based on the framework of the invention, showing that both its side walls and roof include the central part from which four arms with their corresponding rods are derived, and said arms are in turn locked by the oscillating secure locking part.

FIG. 6 shows a perspective view of an embodiment variant, in this case forming a shade including the central part with four arms and as many other rods, and said arms are in turn locked by the oscillating secure locking part.

FIG. 7 finally shows another perspective view of the same embodiment variant, showing the cap fixing the cloth with the central part and the oscillating secure locking part.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As can be seen in the mentioned figures, the framework of the invention provided for the assembly of a folding compartment such as a camping tent comprises a central part (1) acting as a joint, which has a plurality of radial grooves (2), as depicted in FIG. 1, the bottom of each of those radial grooves (2) being provided with a crosspiece acting as a shaft (3) for as many other prismatic arms (4) positioned in those grooves (2), which arms (4) define at their inner end a channel in the form of a hook (5) for being connected to the shaft determined by the different crosspieces (3) of the part (1), such that that assembly of the arms (4) allows the latter to occupy a vertical position, as depicted in FIG. 3, or an extended position, as depicted in FIG. 2. Said arms can in turn be locked or not by the oscillating secure locking part (12) through its radial shafts (13) rotating on its central hole (14).

Specifically, such FIGS. 2 and 3 show the assembly of six arms (4) on the part (1), leaving a plurality of grooves (2) free, which means that more arms (4) could be assembled and the design of the tent that is sought can be varied.

The arms (4) have an axial passage or hole (6) in which a rod (7) is coupled by insertion such that the rods (7) are the support and extensibility means of the cloth (8) corresponding to the walls or roof of the camping tent, for example depicted in FIG. 4, with the particularity that the said cloth (8) is secured on the central part (1) and the oscillating secure locking part by means of a stem which in its initial phase is rectangular (9-1) like the hole (14) of the oscillating secure locking part (12), and in its end part is circular; said stem belongs to a cap (10) with a head from which there extend two planar prolongations (10-1) acting as a fixing for locking or unlocking the arms (4) from the oscillating secure locking part (12). Said head in turn has a type of ring or hole (11) for the passage of a cord which allows the pulling thereof and assembling the tent.
